The reverse lights don’t illuminate camera when you’re in a dark parking lot or area. If and when camera is relied on for reverse, you wouldn’t be able to see a person or anything else. It’s a lighting problem. When you are in an area that is lit (dealer parking lot) you can see fine. I also own a 2014 Chevrolet and camera works fine in dark and lit areas.

Interior lights fail to come on when opening doors on entering vehicle. Lights only come on after fumbling to locate and insert key in the ignition in the dark. What good is having interior light if it doesn't come on when you need to see how to enter and insert key. This has been happening from day 1 of receiving vehicle. I have reported it to dealer. Headlight designed to last lifetime of vehicle failed after five years. Ford has designed so you can’t replace the bulbs for around 100 bucks but have to replace entire units for 1500 dollars apiece. Had issues before where it was off and on and they told me they couldn’t replace it unless it was off at time of inspection.
