On [XXX], a rental vehicle issued by Enterprise was stopped due to an expired North Carolina license plate [XXX] ) and a defective taillight. The expired plate was physically affixed to the Jeep Compass at the time of rental, yet Enterprise’s rental receipt showed a different plate number [XXX] ). This discrepancy was never disclosed before the stop and was repeatedly denied by Enterprise staf
... f for months. Multiple Enterprise representatives—including the branch manager where the vehicle was rented—insisted the Jeep had “only ever” had the [XXX] plate in their system, despite the North Carolina plate being listed on the signed rental agreement and cited by law enforcement. Later, Enterprise claimed the vehicle was re-registered in another state after impound, which altered internal records. This retroactive change created a misleading paper trail that misrepresented the actual tag on the vehicle during the rental period. The expired plate and defective taillight directly triggered a law-enforcement stop, exposing the authorized driver to legal risk, arrest, and vehicle seizure. This unsafe condition should have been identified and corrected before releasing the vehicle, per standard fleet-safety procedures. After impound, personal property left in the vehicle—including electronics—was denied by Enterprise staff as ever existing, despite multiple third-party witnesses confirming its presence. One electronic item was later tracked via GPS to a private residence unrelated to any Enterprise location, after which it was abruptly “found.” Other property remains missing. failure to ensure vehicle roadworthiness, improper record-keeping that concealed the true plate assignment, and mishandling of customer property after impound. Subject: Safety Hazard – Turn Signal Button Placement on Tesla Model 3/Y (Newer Models) Hi there, I am reaching because the newer Tesla models have eliminated the turn signal stalks and instead incorporated the turn signal controls as buttons directly on the steering wheel. This became a critical safety hazard multiple times when taking a turn and had to give the turn indication. The issue happ
... ened because the turn signal buttons are not fixed and they rotate along with the rotation of the steering wheel. It makes us look for the turn signal buttons every time the steering wheel is turned and becomes a safety hazard when in motion. Also, it is very challenging when we have to make a right/left turn while on the ramp to take an exit because the buttons are not fixes unlike the turn signal stalks. There were times when we were unable to give the turn signals. It is not only dangerous for the Tesla drivers but also for the other drivers on the road to effectively communicate. Please, I request you to re-assess this configuration. Thank you!Read more

Vehicle began exhibiting multiple electrical safety issues around April 2025. EMF (electromagnetic field) levels were measured and found to be excessively high, causing physical discomfort and triggering health concerns for my disabled son and me. We both sought medical attention. Two independent mechanics inspected the vehicle and confirmed it showed signs of water intrusion or exposure to hazard

I reported this to Lexus in April and also submitted a lemon claim, but they have failed to act or resolve the matter despite multiple follow-ups. Additional issues include malfunctioning GPS, flickering interior lighting, and system errors suggesting possible electrical instability. I no longer feel safe operating the vehicle due to the ongoing risks and lack of manufacturer response. This is a serious failure of duty to inform, inspect, or repair — and may indicate deeper electrical or structural defects that pose risk to others.Read more

When the turn signal bar is in the neutral position, the right turn signal stays on. When the turn signal bar is in the left position, the right turn signal turns off, but the left turn signal stays off. This makes it impossible to signal left, and often causes the right turn signal to come on, which can be misleading to other drivers.

To Whom It May Concern, Subject: Formal Complaint – 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS Tail Light Meltdown / Fire Hazard Date: August 3, 2025 I am writing to formally report a serious safety issue with my 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS, specifically concerning the tail light assembly, which has melted and poses a potential fire hazard and traffic safety risk. Approximately a year and a half ago, I noticed mel
... ting in the tail light housing and took the vehicle to a Hyundai dealership to address the issue. At that time, the car had approximately 208,000 miles. Despite the obvious manufacturing defect and safety implications, the dealership refused to repair or inspect the issue without charging a $275 inspection fee, stating the vehicle was out of warranty. I believe this to be an unfair and irresponsible business practice. Tail light assemblies should not melt under normal use, and such a defect could lead to: Electrical fires Brake light failure (increasing the risk of rear-end collisions) Potential traffic citations for inoperative brake lights Damage to other vehicles or individuals I have already notified Hyundai Motor Corporation about this issue, placing them on notice that should any damages or incidents occur as a result of this defect, they may be held liable. This is not a minor cosmetic issue but a major safety defect, and I strongly urge the NHTSA to investigate whether this is an isolated issue or part of a wider trend affecting Hyundai and Kia vehicles. If so, a safety recall may be warranted. I also intend to report this situation to the Indiana Attorney General's Office as a matter of consumer protection and product safety. I have been backwards and forwards with the Hyundai Corporation Via and Emails...... I look forward to a prompt response. Please!Read more

ting to formally report an ongoing and unresolved safety issue with my vehicle that poses a serious risk both to myself and others on the road. The core issue appears to involve high-voltage faults and CAN bus voltage exceeding threshold limits—likely tied to the vehicle’s telematics system. Despite this, the vehicle is currently not communicating properly, and the diagnostics data are incons
... istent or inaccessible. Here are the key concerns: •The vehicle has shut down multiple times while in motion, creating a dangerous situation. •It is only achieving ~10 MPG, a drastic drop from expected efficiency. •I was explicitly told not to drive it until the problem is resolved due to safety concerns. •The dealership has refused to repair the issue and has provided false information regarding diagnostic codes, which I’ve recorded for documentation. •This problem has persisted for nearly a year without resolution. At this point, I’m left with a vehicle that is unsafe to operate and a dealer network unwilling to take accountability. I’m requesting a formal investigation into this matter, as it may reflect a broader systemic or manufacturer-level issue affecting others as well. I'm concerned for the safety of my daughter having to drive this vehicle and the safety of other drivers due to her needing to use her high beams more often than typically required. Day time running lamp (DRL) failure. The driver's side DRL is not working anymore on my 2022 Ford F150 XLT with LED light package. The vehicle has 37,000 miles on it. The DRL is a vertical and horizontal strip of white LED's that stay on during the daytime for visibility. I took it to the dealer and they changed the module that runs the light and it would not fix it. They said that the lights
... are broken in the headlight assembly and it will cost $2,009 to fix the light that is not covered by my extended warranty. Apparently you have to get the "light" package on the extended warranty, when I was told I have a bumper to bumper warranty. How do the LED's burn out that fast. Ford built them into the headlight assemble and they cannot be replaced without buying a whole new assembly. I have seen other vehicles like this on the roadway with only one light working. As an accident reconstructionist, I cannot believe Ford would not take the initiative to fix this for safety reasons. I have done research on the topic and several Ford trucks of this year model are experiencing the same issues. I am surprised this has not become a recall issue due to safety issues. Also, I do not have any aftermarket lighting or attachments that would affect the lighting. Some Ford dealerships use that excuse when the light assembly fails. It is stock lighting with stock bumper and grill and has not been in a front end collision.Read more

Subject: Complaint Regarding Unsafe Headlight Design – 2016 Cadillac SRX To whom it may concern, We own a 2016 Cadillac SRX and are extremely concerned about the safety of the vehicle’s headlights. Unfortunately, I was told there was nothing they could do, despite acknowledging that the headlight design is a known problem. They quoted us over $1,600 for a repair, without offering any goodwill assistance or cost reduction — even though this is clearly a design flaw, not a wear-and-tear issue. This does not seem fair, especially considering our vehicle has only 71,749 miles on it — in todays standards, essentially like new for a luxury vehicle.
