The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact remote started the vehicle from the office and walked up to the vehicle, and became aware that the front driver’s side vertical daytime running lights failed to function as intended. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure might be rel
... ated to the headlight assembly and that the headlight assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that the repair would be an out-of-pocket expense for the replacement of the headlight module because the failure was not covered under recall or warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.Read more

The design of the turn signals has several severe driver distracting safety issues. This is ultimately a design issue due to the choice of buttons on the steering wheel instead of a turn signal stalk. The buttons do not always activate the turn signals. Deactivation of the turn signals is counter intuitive, pressing the opposite direction does not deactivate them, instead activating the direction
... pressed. The significant departure from a standard stalk is dangerous. This is opposed to the other digital modifications tesla has made, as they are not in, or do not need to be in active use during driving activity, but the turn signals are a different matter.Read more

The headlight system malfunctioned. It is available for inspection upon request. The low beam failure error occurred, which led to an inspection of the headlight system. The wiring inside the headlight assembly failed. The insulation on bulb wires is crumbling everywhere and causing short circuits from exposed wire conductors. This causes a safety issue because the bulbs stop functioning, impa
... iring visibility of the car, visibility of the road, and disabling motion intent lights like the turn signals. Bare wires touching can also lead to overheating and fires or failures of the headlight electrical system. Humidity may damage the exposed wires and cause bulb failure or wire overheating. The wiring harnesses may also overheat. The wire insulation problem was confirmed by an independent service center on multiple cars of this model.Read more

I am submitting this complaint regarding recurring safety-related defects on my 2023 Dodge Durango RT. 1.Uconnect Failure: The Uconnect infotainment/communication box has repeatedly failed, causing loss of access to critical vehicle functions. These failures affect visibility of system warnings, navigation, and driver settings, creating distraction and limiting awareness. 2.Driver-Side Daytime Run
... ning Light (DRL) Failure: At just 40,000 miles, the driver-side DRL failed. This significantly reduces vehicle visibility to other drivers during the day, creating a safety hazard. What raises my concern further is that I have personally identified at well over 10 other Dodge Durangos in my local area experiencing the same daytime running light issue. This strongly suggests a widespread defect. Both failures directly impact vehicle safety. The Uconnect issue undermines system reliability, while the DRL defect reduces daytime visibility, increasing the risk of accidents. I request that this issue be investigated as a systemic defect requiring corrective action. Dodge owners should not have to repeatedly pay for repairs on essential safety features. Thank you for your time and attention.Read more

There are clearly many design flaws on my 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. One issue I am having with this car is the Daytime Running Lights. These are expensive LED lights that should function for the life of the vehicle. Unfortunately, I believe there is a problem with the control module on the LED lights, and part of the driver's side light does not function. This is a clear safety issue, and
... seems to be very common problem people are having with the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. I notified Chrysler about the issue, and because the car was just over 36 months old, they would not repair the issue. They told me I would have to pay for a complete replacement of the headlight which would cost over $1000. Just today, I noticed Ford posted a recall for the same issue they are having with their Daytime Running Lights. I believe it is only fair for Chrylser to provide a voluntary recall on this same issue because of the clear safety hazard it can creates. What is the purpose of Daytime Running Lights if they don't function properly. This is a minivan I rely on to safely transport my family, and I do not want to risk a hazardous collision because Chrysler refuses to repair a faulty part in their vehicle.Read more

I was driving my car on a 100 degree day and and after about a block, a warning popped up on the little screen behind the steering wheel that said "Ignition switch off, safely stop the vehicle". I waited a few minutes and turned it on, drove about a block, a

I googled on my phone instances of this and people saying they were still able to drive that car, so I turned it back on and started to drive it the two blocks back to my house, the "Starter system faulty" message popped up again and suddenly all of the electrical in the car shut off (the engine was still running). My radio, speedometer, everything was just off. I made it home, got on my computer and found an article about a recall that match my car's make, model, year, and key rather than button ignition. It described my exact experience. I looked up my car to see if it had a recall and it didn't. I called the dealership and they were no help, so I called the Volkswagen of America customer care line. They told me my VIN didn't qualify "probably" because it wasn't within the "manufacturing dates". I'm having a hard time understanding that since everything else lines up. 1. Component/System Failed: Halogen headlamp assemblies (low beams) malfunctioned due to delamination of the reflective surface, causing dimming. Available for inspection upon request. I have had the issue for years. Hard to see at night. 2. Safety Risk: Dim low beams reduce nighttime visibility, increasing risk of collisions. Using high beams to compensate may blind other drivers, creating furt
... her hazards. 3. Problem Reproduced/Confirmed: Not yet confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Issue matches known defect in 2013-2018 Altima halogen headlamps (TSB NTB15-111). 4. Inspections: No inspections by police, or insurance yet. I did have it inspected with the Santa Rosa California (Jim Bone) Nissan dealer inspection under Voluntary Service Campaign (PC861/PC890). That dealer said it was not bad however the headlights were bad before and after that so I believe they lied or didn’t test it correctly. That was in 2022 I believe. 5. Warning Signs/Symptoms: Gradual low-beam dimming noticed, first observed around 2017 perhaps. I just thought it was bad but it got worse. I saw in 2020 or 2021 some notice about a class action lawsuit (Suarez?) that Nissan lost so I tried to get them to fix it but they had various dates they said claims had to be done and it was confusing. I called Vallejo Nissan and they said I had to wait. Later it kept getting worse. No warning lamps; low beams too dim for safe driving, requiring high beams. 6. Description (if uncertain): Low beams are dim, compromising safe nighttime driving. Issue aligns with reported delamination defect in halogen headlamp assemblies. Exact onset date/mileage UNKNOWN. Sought dealers inspection for replacement under Nissan’s campaign but they didn’t take care of it. Nissan should be held responsible if any deaths, injuries or damages result from this issue. Dangerously Dim Headlights: The front headlights are dangerously dim and do not provide adequate illumination for safe night driving. This is a well-documented issue with this model and poses a clear and present danger to my family and others. I have already spent my own money attempting to fix a problem that is a design flaw. I have no desire to pay for any further remedies for these issues. As the manufacturer, General Motors is responsible for the safety of its vehicles. The main head unit for the infotainment system, specifically the software. Upon failing a software update in August 2024, the vehicle started switching itself from English to Italian, from Standard to Metric units, the high beams would no longer function, the auto locking doors after 15mph would no longer work, the emergency pedestrian sensing braking was turned off, the entire infotainment screen
... randomly shuts off and comes back on as well. Without readily available high beams my ability to see further distances at night was diminished. 2)The uninitiated change in language and units of measure made it more difficult to verify vehicle speed and other important settings with intervention to return the system to English. 3) Largest concern, auto locks not turning on, without notifying the driver, left my young children at risk of opening the back doors and falling out of the vehicle at high speeds. The dealership has tried to fix this twice, they have updated the software to current version and reset the system. They also reset the customer programmable features, which corrected the issue with the high beams, but the other issues with software remain, including the auto locks at speed, language change, units change and screen shutting off and on. I have also contacted Jeep customer service, they do not have a remedy in place and verified the software is up to date. After reviewing Jeep Wagoneer forums, this is effecting many owners of the Wagoneer after that fall 2024 update, and all the dealerships are scratching their heads. But without autolocks at speed, this is a big issue. No warning lights came on to let me know, and the bug seems to be in all software versions for the Wagoneer from Fall 2024 to current.Read more

Purchased above vehicle on 7/12/25. Was advised no towing for 1st 500 miles. At 712 miles, I hooked my fishing boat up to the truck to go fishing. Initially, truck did not recognize my boat trailer lights (marker and tail lights). My previous truck was a 2023 Ram 2500 rebel that never had an issue with connecting my boat trailer electrical system. All lights worked as should. I still have the
... same boat trailer as previous(2020 shore lander trailer with led lights). The new procedure for my 2025 Ram 2500 is to disconnect the 7 pin trailer electrical connector to the truck, stop the trucks engine, reconnect the 7pin to the truck outlet and maybe it will, maybe it will not work. There has been times I've had to stop and restarted the truck 8-10 times before the trailer is recognized. Once it is recognized, I have little or no faith in the trucks electrical system to safely tow my boat to go fishing. I also check all brake, hazard and turn signals are functional on the boat trailer while still in my driveway before entering onto a main highway, but I have no way of checking to see if the trailer taillights are properly functioning while traveling on any roadway or highway. This intermittent function can cause a serious hazard not only for myself, but for other motorists who do not see the trailer lights, turning signals or braking signals. On 8/4/25, my Ram truck went in for service at Diehl Ram Jeep Chrysler in Grove City, PA for analysis and repair for these trailer lighting connection issues.
