My car was purchased new in December 2018. It now has 119,231 miles on it. My problem is that my headlight warning lamps go on the minute I start my car, because moisture has somehow gotten into both headlight assemblies, which causes my headlights to stop working intermittently. I took my car to Keeler Honda in Latham New York to get it fixed, and they gave me a quote to replace two headlights in
... the amount of $3174.23. My car has never been hit nor has it ever been in an accident. And now I need to replace two headlights and I can’t believe how much money it’s going to cost me. I believe I have defective headlights, and although my car may be out of warranty, I think this is a design issue, and the cost to replace two headlights is unreasonable. I have attached pictures of the right and left front headlights, a picture of my dashboard warning light that comes on when I start my car, and a copy of the estimate I received from Keeler Honda in Latham New York for $3174.23. Just for the headlights alone, the cost is 2624.04. Who has that kind of money to replace 2 headlights? I wonder if I’m the only one with this issue. This is a serious SAFETY HAZARD when I’m on the road and my headlights turn off at night. What can I do? Thank you, Mark FebbieRead more

Auto dimming and bright headlights do not dim for oncoming traffic consistently. Unsafe for other travelers at night. I’ve owned two Tesla’s model 3 and model y over the last 4 years. Both had issues with the Auto Bright/Auto dimming headlights. The automatic feature takes too long to turn on the high beams and takes too long to dim for oncoming traffic. The auto dimming function also reacts t
... o reflective signs and turns off high beams when unnecessary. The auto dimming feature works best when you’re approaching a curve where the travel path is to the right where oncoming traffic crosses the field of cameras. Auto dimming rarely works when turning to the left or straight for on coming traffic since cars are to the left of field for the cameras or head on traffic but Auto dimming feature fails. The bright and dim will go on and off as cars approach further causing issues with people flashing lights at you in their direction of travel. The auto high headlights also react to reflective signs and will go high low high low further causing safety issues when they should remain on.Read more

The SRX is known to have issues with the headlight assemblies. I even received a letter from Cadillac that informed me that moisture may get into the assemblies, which causes them to fail. The low beam LED light has gone out which consists of replacing the whole headlight assembly. The dealership wants $2000 to replace this unit. Looking online at car forums this is a known issue on these explorers. Our explorer is from 2017 with only 31000 miles on it which means at most the headlight has been on for only 516 hours. LED lights should be lasting for 30000-40000 hours. This is a safe

1. The weakness (dimness) of the low beams is a DANGEROUS situation. The assemblies are not dirty or oxidized; the low beam height was properly adjusted; Tested the power going to each light and it showed 14 volts; Bought some high power LED bulbs which didn't help. I am very hesitant to spend up to $400 for new assemblies hoping that maybe it will fix the problem. I have adjusted the high beam le

Subaru should be recalling and replacing these faulty assemblies immediately. 2. Wheel lugs shear off when being removed. When the lug nuts were put on, they were tightened with a torque wrench to manufacturer specifications. This is the only vehicle (out of the 13 I have owned) I have ever had this problem with. Subaru should be recalling and replacing lugs immediately with lugs of proper materials immediately.Read more

Drivers seat, seat belt at the lap tightens while driving to the point it is brusing hip bones. Even if someone loosens it, the seat belt automatically tightens up to the point it is dangerous in a collision because it can cause internal injuries or more severe injuries. The seat belt design is flawed in that it pulls extra belt from only from the top, so the bottom of the lap belt is fixed and th
... at part is getting too tight and cannot be consistently comfortable or loose enough that it does not bruise or cause injuries to hips and laps. The issue has been ongoing and a major concern. I have contacted Hyundai who said it may or may not be under warranty but expected for me to pay for a visit to the shop to find out when this is a safety issue. Secondly the headlight system keeps failing. What I mean is the left driveres low beam/regular headlight continually burns out despite replacement with new bulbs. The passenger side lo beam/ regular headlight burned out recently and when replaced with the correct light bulb the regular setting for headlights no longer adequately lights the road despite bulbs being installed correctly and exactly as instructed. The lights now face down and are very low. We have changed out the bulbs with different brands and have found the same issue so it has to be an issue with the headlights themselves.Read more

The driver side headlamp assembly has a faulty seal which allows water to leak inside the housing under normal daily conditions. When this happens the water leaks down through the assembly where the headlight ballast is mounted, causing water to collect in the ballast, and killing it (making the headlight go out) as well as the electrical components that power the L.E.D. daytime running lights als
... o making those stop functioning. There is no quick and easy fix for this, as the headlamp assembly must be replaced to restore the headlight because even replacing the burned out ballast will only provide light temporarily again until that too is again destroyed by water. Because there is no good alternative available with an aftermarket replacement, I was forced to purchase an entirely new assembly which cost $1,505 and took months to save and be able to afford. This is a manufacturing flaw that should have been recalled and addressed. My warranty does not cover any damage due to water, so I had to pay for this myself, along with many many other people with the same issue. Having my headlight randomly stop working was a dangerous situation to be put into.Read more

In May 2021 I leases a brand new car. In Jan 2021 I was driving my car and at a busy intersection, my car stalled. I just got a full tank of gas but the low fuel tank light came on. The car would not turn off, the clutch was stuck and I could not shift out of any gear. I brought my car in to the service center where I bought my car and let them know that I think electrical issues were causing p
... roblems with my fuel gauge and my clutch. They held on to my car from Jan 20-Mar 28th they could not say what electrical problems caused my car to stall or my fuel tank to register as low but they gave me a whole new transmission. At this time I had only about 2,700 miles on the car. Less than a month later I stalled again on a busy road but I was able to pull the car over and waited for a family member to arrive to help. After letting the car sit for a little I was able to start the car again however the low fuel light came back on and the engine light came on. Additionally this time I was not able to shut off the car, radio, blinkers did not work, as well as break lights did not work. I brought the car back in and expressed my concerns about the electrical problems causing saftey issues on April 20 2021. I drove to the dealership with my hazards in which it stalled 3 times on my way there. They had my car til April 26 and said a cluster of alerts came up and the reset them but they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't happen again. Only one day later I started my car to find the fuel tank alert on again and the car not being able to turn off and brake lights, signal lights were not working and the windshield wipers going crazy. I then called a tow truck to tow my car as it was unsafe to drive. Now my car has been in the shop since April 27 almost 50 days and counting and they still can't find what is causing the issues. They want to release my car again but cannot guarantee it will not happen again. I am terrified to drive the car as nothing was fixed and very unsafe.Read more

While driving with a fully charged battery, the car dash warned “pull over to safe location. Battery cannot support all functions”. The car lost all functionality, including loss of its flashers, putting us at signific
... ant risk since we were unable to alert other motorists to our presence on the side of the road as it was getting dark. The car is currently with the dealer and thus far they have been unable to identify the root cause of the issue but have acknowledged the existence of the problem. They’ve claimed the 12v battery died and the car does not have any safety redundancy built in to be able to access power from the main driving battery to power critical features such as the hazard lights. The biggest risk of safety is loss of indicators/flashers while on the side of the road. This feature in vehicles is meant to alert other drivers to the presence of a disabled vehicle. Consumer was told no physical problem was found with the car and a “firmware” problem is suspected. After repeated questioning, the Tesla dealer finally acknowledged that other 2021 Model S cars have experienced similar abrupt shut downs and the California engineers are aware of the problem.
