I have contacted the Hyundai headquarters several times, about what I believe to be an electrical problem in my vehicle. However, I was informed that there was no issue, that needed to be serviced. However, I continue to experience this issue. I have witnessed countless Hyundai’s being driven by other drivers and they too, seem to experiencing malfunctioning break lights. I even paid to have a diagnostic test completed at the Hyundai dealership, in an attempt to rectify the problem. However, I was informed the there was no electrical issue present. This is a huge safety concern, because driving without properly working lights, is illegal and I have received traffic violations for doing so. It is extremely unsafe, due to having the ability to cause accidents on the road. If other drivers are not aware of my vehicle stopping or even being on the road, due to improperly displayed lights. It creates a huge safety concern. Recently, I’ve begun to smell gas coming from my vehicle and then I received the recall notice associated with the fuel pump. Tesla software update 2022.24.6 is an update that forces the vehicle to use Tesla Vision for Autopilot adaptive cruise control. This hazard has occurred at least 5 times within two days of receiving the update. A hazard is created in

There is no warning or way to adjust the feature. This will likely lead to a collision because approaching drivers cannot see through glare.Read more

On this model car, the low beams get so dangerously dim, that (my case for example), I literally could not tell if the low beam headlights were on or off if I were driving on a street where any street lights (even just residential neighborhood street lights) were anywhere within eyesight. The only time I could make out that they were on would be if I were on a pitch black section of a street, in w
... hich case I could see a very faint glow that only extended maybe four-feet out. And when I parked facing the garage door at night, just about three feet from the garage door, both the running lights and the flashers were far (not just a little) brighter than the low beams. The low-beam reflector itself oxidizes, is not reflective at all, and no amount of brighter bulbs or clean outside lenses will help with a reflector that doesn’t reflect. (It’s also not related to the cloudy inner-lens. It’s the reflector.) Replacing the entire headlight assembly is the only solution. People who mean well and aren't familiar with the specifics of the Acura RDX 2013 to 2015 problem will give you conventional advice (clean the outside lenses and buy the brand bulbs they like), but they are incorrect. There is a widespread and extreme problem and defect with this specific generation of the Acura RDX. The deterioration also happens gradually, so you don’t necessarily notice it at first, but it gradually gets worse and worse until the headlights are practically nonfunctional.Read more

In the last month, I've started noticing issues with my headlights/icons. My lights are always set to auto in my 2018 kia sorento. First issue: when driving during the day, the dashboard will show the icon that appears when you turn on the lights manually. I'm assuming the lights actually come on as well, but it's daylight so I can't actually see if this is happening or not. Once when this happene
... d, I was sitting at a red light with my turn signal on, and I was able to get a picture of the manual icon light showing and my switch was still in the auto position. This has happened about half a dozen times. 3 weeks ago I woke up to my lights being on, even though the switch was still set to auto. The back red lights were on and the front lights were on. I know the lights were out the night before and I double checked that the switch was as I left it in the auto position. Tonight 9/14 and last weekend, my lights turned off for a few seconds while driving at night. The lights had been on for a while and it was completely dark outside so there was no way they should've turned off. I was in an unlit area both times without any head on traffic, so it was extremely obvious that the lights went out and very dangerous not being able to see in front of me. It's also dangerous for any approaching traffic to not be able to see a vehicle at night until they get close enough to hit it. I've attached a picture of the auto setting when the icon light indicated it was set to manual during the day. I've also attached another picture of my vehicle the way I found it one morning when the lights were set to auto and they came on at some point in the middle of the night. I had to unlock the vehicle, and flip the light switch off, then back to auto, for them to go off. This instance my vehicle was not even on, and it was daylight outside.Read more

Headlights on my 2013 Altima are dangerously dim. I filed several complaints with NHTSA several years ago about this problem but nothing was done. A few months ago I received a notice from the SUAREZ V NISSAN SETTLEMENT ADMINISTRATOR stating that my vehicle qualified for free replacement headlights as part of a class action suit settlement stemming from defective headlights on 2013-2016 Nissan A
... ltimas. The notice said my vehicle would receive free replacement headlights if I: 1. SUBMIT AN OUT-OF-WARRANTY CLAIM FORM BY MARCH 26, 2022 2. TAKE MY ALTIMA TO AN AUTHORIZED NISSAN DEALER BETWEEN MARCH 27, 2022 AND SEPTEMBER 23, 2022. I fulfilled both of those requirements but the dealer still refuses to replace my headlights. They say they “tested” the headlights and they seem “ok”. I asked for a clarification of the “test” procedure. They said they spray “bubbles” on the headlights, turn them on and observe how bright they look. There is nothing quantitative, nothing measured — just a subjective “look” and that’s it. How can Nissan get away with this phony test. I see many complaints on this website from others that have been duped by Nissan regarding this issue. The lights on my Altima are so bad that I avoid driving at night. When I do have to drive at night, the headlights are so dim that they only FAINTLY illuminate about 25 feet in front of me. The lights are so dim that other drivers flash their lights at me, thinking that I just have my parking lights on. This is an obvious safety issue that many, many Altima owners have to put up with. As a result of the class action suit, Nissan agreed to replace the defective headlights but they are now playing games with a made up, phony test and not fulfilling their promise to replace these dangerous, defective headlights.
