WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE NORTH DALLAS TOLLWAY I HEARD A SUDDEN LOUD "POP" NOISE IN THE BACK OF MY CAR WHERE MY ENGINE IS LOCATED. IT WAS STARTLING ENOUGH TO PULL OFF ONTO THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY AND EXIT MY CAR IMMEDIATELY TO SEE WHERE THE NOISE CAME FROM. UPON EXITING MY VEHICLE, I SAW COMING FROM THE BACK OF THE CAR WHERE THE ENGINE IS LOCATED FLAMES COMING OUT OF THE ENGINE. I IMMEDIATELY

TO MY HORROR I SAW PHOTO AFTER PHOTO OF CARS IN VARIOUS STAGES OF BEING ENGULFED IN FLAMES. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE I SEE THAT MERCEDES BENZ HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF THIS DEATH TRAP YET HAVE NOT CHOSEN TO RECALL OR CHECK INTO THE ISSUE. I WAS INFORMED AS THERE HAS NOT BEEN A DEATH OR INJURY ATTACHED TO THIS OCCURRENCE NO CHANGE WILL BE MADE. I CONTACTED NCDJR TO INFORM THEM THAT THIS WAS HAPPENING AGAIN AND THAT I NEEDED MY VEHICLE SERVICED. NORTHTOWN HAD MY VEHICLE FROM 8/6/2016-8/30/2016 AND I WAS AGAIN TOLD, THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED BECAUSE 'THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM'. ON THE EVENING OF THURSDAY, 9/29/2016 I WAS GETTING OFF AT AN EXPRESSWAY RAMP AND WAS SITTING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE, AND WHEN I ACCELERATED THE CAR MADE NO MOTION, I WAS AGAIN STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. PER THEIR INSTRUCTION, I CONTACTED NCDJR AND TOLD THEM I WAS BRINGING THE VEHICLE RIGHT OVER. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO A NISSAN DEALER IN MIAMI FOR THEM TO TAKE A LOOK AND THEY SUGGESTED TAKING IT TO A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST AS THEIR PROTOCOL FOR CASES LIKE THIS CALLS FOR AN EXPENSIVE TRANSMISSION CHANGE. THE WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 7TH, I WAS HEADED TOWARDS MY PARENTS HOME AND MY CAR STALLED AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST IN CORAL SPRINGS AND $4,600 LATER, I HAVE A NEW TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR. HE GAVE ME THE EXPLANATION ABOUT THE RADIATOR LEAKING INTO THE TRANSMISSION. MY BROTHER POINTED TO MY ATTENTION THAT THERE WAS SOME SORT OF SETTLEMENT WITH NISSAN REGARDING THIS SAME ISSUE.
