Shortly after purchasing my 2022 Ford Escape, I began experiencing hesitation during acceleration, loss of power, RPM fluctuations, loud howling and whining noises, grinding noises, exhaust-related rattling, coolant bubbling, and a strong sulfur/rotten egg odor. The problems were reported repeatedly to the selling dealer and Ford service departments. Despite multiple complaints, I was repeatedly t
... old nothing was wrong with the vehicle. The vehicle continued to deteriorate and now struggles to accelerate and produces extremely loud noises during operation. The condition creates a safety concern because the vehicle does not respond normally when accelerating and may not be able to maintain speed safely in traffic. I also discovered an open safety recall involving a potentially cracked fuel injector that could allow fuel or fuel vapor to accumulate on the engine and create a fire risk. The recall remains incomplete because a remedy is not currently available. The vehicle has been inspected by dealership service departments and an independent transmission specialist. The problems have been ongoing since shortly after purchase and continue to worsen.Read more

The systems failing are electrical, engine, and fuel/propulsion systems. VW TAOS 2022 purchased Sept. 2023. Two weeks after purchasing the vehicle, I'm driving down the street and the vehicle began to lose power and start slowing down. It eventually cut off. About a week later, I experienced the same issue. I called the dealer and they had me to bring my car in. I was told that they couldn't
... find the problem, but that the car was misfiring. They "repaired" and returned it to me. As I drove on local streets and the interstate, I have problems with acceleration. The car does not pick up speed like it should and lags behind and then suddenly jerks forward (even after battery rest times during a stop). It rides a bit rough. Occasionally, my dashboard blacks out while I'm driving. My auto-start doesn't always work, even after the fob batteries have been changed. My gas seems to disappear and I find myself gassing up more often than I should be. I would contact the dealership, they'd coordinate service around my scheduled service dates and claim that they could never find or duplicate the problems that I'm having. The problems continue. My engine light came on while I was driving and stayed on. I was told to bring in my car. The dealership kept it from July-Sept 2025, replacing parts and then returned it to me. Two days later the engine light came back on and I had to return to the dealer again for service. After leaving a parking lot (Jun 2026), two blocks down the street the TAOS began to lose power, the engine light is flashing and the EPC code (engine control malfunction) light lit up. I called VW and they dispatched a tow. My TAOS was towed to Checkered Flag VW. My safety (and others) is at risk because the power loss just happens without warning. If a driver is not paying attention, they could run into the back of me or hit me on the side during a lane change due to the slow movement.Read more

My 2023 Chevrolet Suburban Premier is covered under GM recall 25V-274 for the 6.2L L87 engine defect (loss of propulsion from connecting rod and crankshaft failure). Wareing Sheridan Chevrolet in [XXX] replaced the engine, and the vehicle was out of service approximately 12 to 14 days. Approximately 6,0
... 00 miles later, on XXX, the replacement engine failed while I was driving on the interstate highway near Billings, Montana. There were no warning indicators of any kind until I suddenly lost power. Only at the moment power was lost did the check engine light come on and a low oil pressure warning appear. I was barely able to get the vehicle off the interstate before it died. I had my family in the vehicle, and losing power on the interstate with no warning created a serious risk of a crash. The vehicle had to be towed to Denny Menholt Chevrolet in Billings, MT. On June 13, 2026, the dealer confirmed the vehicle needs a second complete engine replacement under the same recall. This is the second L87 engine failure and second full engine replacement on this vehicle under recall 25V-274. No crash or injuries occurred. I have an open case with GM (#XXX). Dear Sir or Madam. My name is [XXX], [XXX], [XXX] living in [XXX]. I bought my 2008 Lexus RX400h car, used, in 2014 at a non-Lexus dealership in the [XXX] where I used to live. My Lexus VIN is: [XXX]. I've been satisfied with the car..until today. The car had been running smoothly forever, and this morning while I was driving I came to a stop (red light) and the car suddenly shut down completely
... , including the loss of lights, and the whole dashboard went dark. Other cars behind me were honking their horns. I could not even turn on the hazard lights. After 1-2 minutes, all of the lights/warnings started coming on one after the other. I started the car again and run around three different errands without having further issues. I checked online to see if other owners had experienced a similar situation, which is the case. One person said that there had been two recalls in 2011 and 2013, both related to the inverter module inside the hybrid system. Although, I called today a Lexus dealership, [XXX], located in [XXX], and I was told there are no recalls for the VIN number that I provided. Another owner said she/he went to a Lexus dealer in [XXX] and she was told it was a defect in the gutter drainage design and that water gets into the hybrid system. This is a dangerous and potentially catastrophic situation if the vehicle suddenly shuts down on a freeway/highway putting passengers in risk of harm, injury, or death. This is a horrific defect which Lexus should correct immediately with a recall before one of us ends up at the cementery. I am glad to know that organizations such as the NHTSA exist, and I will appreciate very much that immediate action is taken on this matter. Sincerely, [XXX]. June 8th, 2026 I was driving to work when my car began to have problems accelerating. My cars acceleration was inconsistent and would not allow for appropriate throttle response. After making it through the roundabout my cars acceleration was depleting
... fast. I pulled over as much as I could before I put the car in park and turned the engine off. After the engine was turned off I attempted to restart it. Upon restarting the vehicle began to shake violently as if the back tires were still in rotation and began making an awful noise. I turned the car off and called someone to come assist me. Moments later a random civilian operating under the name “bulldogs handyman and roadside assistance” pulled up behind me. He attempted to help me restart the car to understand what was going on. The car at this point could not turnover. He then asked me “are you out of gas” because visually my car was perfectly fine. I was indeed at half a tank. The man then plugged a code reader into my car and received the code A11P7. At this time a light finally went off on my dash board showing “check engine” symbol. We called Nissan due to the recent recall on my car and had it towed there. The Nissan dealership claims my EGR cooler failed resulting in coolant to enter my engine and overheat the engine causing it to fail. However, Nissan refuses to check the oil pan because the code specifically installed for the recall did not populate. Their diagnoses is plausible however, I just had a multi point inspection 4 months ago by this exact dealership. My cars mileage is 71,315 miles. All maintenance is up to date and I never had a coolant leak. I have had many people INCLUDING EMPLOYEES tell me about the EGR cooler failing and how it is a known problem for Nissan. My Ford escape recently has been experiencing what I believe to be a coolant issue. There was a stained spot on the driveway a couple of times in May 2026 and technicians had said my coolant fluid was on the low side so they topped it up while I was getting the car serviced for an oil change. The car was seemingly running fine though until we started the car on 6/4/26 and waiting for the AC to kic
... k in before driving when we realized the air wasn't getting cold after a couple minutes, which was abnormal and something we hadn't experienced before. Shortly after inspecting our AC settings to make sure they were set correctly, the dashboard issued an overheating warning. We immediately turned the car off and let it cool down for a while before turning the ignition on again. After restarting the car and letting it idle in the parking lot, everything appeared to be working as normal again. Luckily we were able to safely drive the car back home and will have to get it looked at. In the mean time, I have read that many 2016 Ford Escape owners have experienced serious coolant intrusion failures, which align with our recent experience, and pose a dangerous driving hazard. We will have to get an inspection to know for sure, but I'm fearful that this is a larger issue among these Ford models and we will both have to rely on our other car until we know if the car is safe to drive or not. The Ford Escape only has a little over 87,000 miles on it currently and a serious coolant issue could require a very expensive engine repair and be a large financial burden to justify and comprise the value of our vehicle. The high number of reports and complaints of so many others experiencing similar mechanical failures is very concerning and I believe my car is in the early stages of showing the same problem. A widespread issue like this should have a recall issued or compensation returned to vehicle owners for repair costs and damages associated with any manufacturing faults of Ford.Read more

After they confirmed the turbo was bad and well as the items above we agreed to the repairs and they said the vehicle would be ready the next day. We called again at the end of the next day and they said the repairs were made and they were going to drive the vehicle to make sure all was well. The next call we received was the service advisor stating we need a new engine as after they drove it white smoke was coming from the exhaust and they now found a cracked piston. The vehicle was not blowing out white smoke when they received, it also passed emissions on 4/14/26. We also asked for all technician notes, diagnostics, etc. which they will not provide us unless we come in and get the non running vehicle and pay the 983.00 invoice. We would have to have the vehicle towed from their lot as it can't be driven since their repairs. We contacted GM and spoke with "Tamar" multiple times with no resolution. This complaint is based on four separate safety recalls affecting my vehicle — Recalls 56C, 68C (NHTSA Campaign No. 25V-741), 21D (NHTSA Campaign No. 26V-363) and 78C (NHTSA Campaign No. 25V-766) — which collectively demonstrate a pattern of serious, unresolved manufacturing defects involving both the high-voltage battery system and the gasoline engine. Stellantis has materially and permanentl
... y diminished my vehicle's performance and value through undisclosed recall remedies, left my vehicle subject to dual fire risks with no complete remedy available as none of the recalls actually made any functional repairs but rather reduced the risk to Stellantis, and subjected my engine to a potential catastrophic sand contamination defect for which the recall did not actually repair along with additional wear and tear on the combustion engine beyond the original design specifications of the vehicle. Perhaps no single fact better illustrates the magnitude of what Stellantis has taken from me than this: post-68C, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe — purchased at a significant price premium over standard Wrangler models specifically for its hybrid efficiency — now achieves no better real-world fuel economy in charged or depleted mode than the base 3.6L V6 Wrangler that costs thousands of dollars less. The EPA-rated combined gas-only MPG figures for the 2024 Wrangler lineup are as follows: •3.6L V6 (automatic, four-door): EPA-rated 19 MPG combined (17 city / 23 highway); •3.6L V6 with eTorque (automatic, four-door): EPA-rated 19–20 MPG combined; •2.0L Turbo (four-door): EPA-rated 20–21 MPG combined; •4xe PHEV (charge-depleted, gas only): EPA-rated 20 MPG combined — now further reduced by the 68C software restriction. My Turbo/EcoBoost Escape’s check engine light kept coming on and off between October and December 2025. I took it to a Ford repair shop in December to diagnose (P0301 and P0306 engine codes), and they said coolant was leaking into an engine cylinder. They said maybe I hadn’t done a coolant flush years back, but they weren’t sure why it developed. Regardless they said I needed to replace the
... entire engine— $10,000+ on an 8 year old car. I went to an independent repair shop for a second opinion. They confirmed the problem but told me more that Ford didn’t: it was a known design flaw (a Technical Service Bulletin notice was written) in the engine that Ford didn’t do a recall for, and yes I still needed to spend $10k to replace the engine, or else the car could risk becoming abruptly undrivable within months or as soon as weeks. I was very upset and disappointed a Ford dealer/repair shop wasn’t honest about what was going on, and Ford hadn’t stepped up to address the known flaw in their engines. I was put into a spot of spending $10k on an 8 year old car that was in great shape otherwise and paid off, but could become a piece of junk at any moment. I felt forced into having to get a new car, all because of a design flaw that Ford didn’t admit or correct. But they were happy to start trying to get me to buy a new Ford. As if.Read more

About 3 weeks ago, I was driving, and a red flashing light came on, signalling that my coolant was low. I bought radiator fluid and put it in up to the fill line. I visited my daughter, which is 11/2 hr. away. I checked the radiator reserve when I arrived at her house. The reserve was empty again. I brought it to a local mechanic shop. They diagnosed that I have coolant intrusion in the engine. T
... hey said I would need to pay for a new engine around $8800-$9200. I had purchased a lifetime extended warranty when I purchased the car. The Ford dealership diagnosed my car with the same problem as the local mechanic. They said the repair was not covered by the Powertrain warranty do to it being a manufacturing failure. I brought the car home and it has been parked since.Read more

I purchased my 2023 Toyota Tundra new and immediately had concerns as at low speeds it jerked badly. This problem has not gotten better but worse. It is noticeable to passengers when riding in the truck. Early on the fuel pump quit and was replaced. The spark plugs were replaced after the dealership said this might be the problem. My issue is I purchased a $70,000 vehicle with the expectation
... it would be reliable and long lasting. After all it is a Toyota and that used to be the standard. Instead from day one of ownership this vehicle has presented issues. Issues that should be handled timely since Toyota knows this is an issue. I'm not comfortable drive long distances due to the possibility of breaking down. The response from Toyota is not acceptable in my opinion. Also, motors replaced earlier on were NEW and now they state when they get to mine & others it will be remanufactured. This doesn't seem fair and consistent when considering the overall impact this massive recall has caused.Read more

The oil is leaking from the head down onto the manifold due to what seems to be a recurring defective casting i

The vehicle severely shudders, jerks, and hesitates from a stop and while making a turn, during both acceleration and deceleration, making it entirely unsafe to drive. The check engine light illuminated, and on 4/9/26, the dealer documented a failed transmission judder test and kept the car, issuing a loaner. A temporary software pa

Upon return, the dealer reported they were unable to recreate the problem, recommended returning when the vehicle demonstrates the problem more frequently, and refused to mechanically repair the dual-clutch transmission under my active original-owner 100,000-mile powertrain warranty, basically instructing me to continue to drive a seriously un-safe vehicle. Most recently, a yellow dashboard warning light illuminated, and the vehicle entered a dangerous 'limp mode,' severely restricting power and struggling to move before the light cleared after cooling down. The vehicle is completely un-driveable and parked.Read more
