I seen that you are looking into the timing issues on Ford vehicles, My 2015 Taurus had its timing chain replaced just last Christmas 2025 that cost me over $6,000 to repair, I would not be even saying anything about this but my wifes 2014 Ford Edge did the same thing just 3 month before mine where we paid over $3,000 to try and fix but failed to fix so we just purchased her a new car, but with m

They said this is because of oil change issues but we always had our oil changed on time every time at the Ford dealership in my area. The dealer I took mine to for repairs told me also if the oil filter did not get replaced with the oil change this could cause this issue so I am assuming that this is the issue the dealership we were taking both our cars to for oil changes may have not been replacing the oil filter everytime we got it done. I am filing a safety complaint against Scott Stark’s South Point Hyundai for selling me a vehicle with an active open safety recall, a blown transmission, an A/C failure, and a dry-rotted tire. Before returning the car for service under a promised 1,000-mile warranty, my sister, who has worked for Corporate Hyundai for 15 years, helped me conduct a full intake baseline inspection at her dealersh
... ip. We performed a recorded 360-degree video inspection, took high-resolution photos of every square inch, and ran full computer diagnostics, which confirmed zero tool marks on any bolts under the hood or on the transmission, and all diagnostic readings were perfectly recorded. South Point Hyundai kept my vehicle for 10 days for repairs, making excuses about test drives and failing to find technicians. However, a hidden GPS tracker tucked deep under my passenger side carpet meticulously documented every single time the vehicle moved or remained completely stationary on their lot. Upon picking up the vehicle, my sister scanned the car immediately with her diagnostic computer. The readings are now completely erratic and all over the place compared to the baseline corporate readings we documented 10 days prior. Physical inspection reveals that bolts have been turned, internal components have been actively tampered with, and parts have been structurally altered. The evidence directly indicates that this dealership used my personal vehicle as an unauthorized parts donor vehicle to harvest components, severely compromising its mechanical integrity, structural reliability, and overall road safety. This severe tampering has left the vehicle completely unsafe to operate. We possess full video evidence, high-resolution photographs, GPS tracking logs, and comparative corporate Hyundai diagnostic data verifying this severe mechanical fraud. I have turned this info over to Corporate Hyundai, the DMV, and federal enforcement agencies due to safety risks.Read more

On 5/18/2026 my wife left home to run an errand in our newly purchased 2018 Audi Q3. About 1-2 miles away from home, she experienced a strange sound coming from the engine bay, the car lost accelerating power, and the car displayed a warning message that the oil pressure was low and to stop operating the car. The power briefly returned, and she was able to safely return home. Thankfully, she hadn'

After she returned, I used a consumer-level reader to get the code, which indicated there was catastrophic failure to one of the engine's cylinders. We had it towed to a nearby Audi dealership, where the service department confirmed one of the cylinders had failed and the car needed a new engine. The car had given numerous signals prior to this. First, the night we purchased the car, we experienced the exact same warning light and loss of power. We had it towed then to the same Audi dealership, who said it only needed an oil change. During that conversation, the Audi tech told me that the car had a head gasket replacement the prior year (2025), at around 55k mi, and that the previous owner reported other oil-related warnings. I was then told the oil sensors are sensitive, the car was fine, just be mindful of oil levels. In the proceeding weeks after that (and prior to the engine failure), we experienced moments when the same oil pressure warning flickered on-and-off. The failure on 5/18 was less than 45 days after our first indicator experience.Read more

My 2019 BMW X5 (G05) equipped with the B58 Technical Update (B58TU) engine has experienced a failure / is showing early signs of failure of the engine oil pump assembly.Beginning with the B58TU engine, BMW utilized a variable-displacement oil pump that contains a thermoplastic/plastic internal adjusting ring. This plastic component degrades under normal operating temperatures, resulting in a sudde

This failure leads to a sudden drop in engine oil pressure, vehicle disablement without sufficient warning, or an inability for the iDrive infotainment system to complete an electronic oil level measurement.A sudden loss of engine lubrication while driving presents a severe safety hazard, capable of immobilizing the vehicle in active traffic. BMW has updated this exact pump part number to utilize all-metal internal carriers on later production runs, but refuses to cover the cost for early out-of-warranty models. During these events, there was flickering/interruption of power, and I had to turn on the hazard lights, shift to Park, turn off the air conditioning, and attempt to power or restart the vehicle before it would move again. My safety and the safety of my passengers were put at risk because the vehicle was unexpectedly immobilized in active traffic. In one incident, the vehicle behind us almost struck my Odyssey because traffic had begun moving after the light turned green, but my vehicle remained stopped. This has also occurred while stopped on the freeway, including in a construction zone, creating a risk of rear-end collision and leaving my family, including children, vulnerable in traffic while other drivers were honking and attempting to move around us. The problem has occurred at least three times, but it has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. The vehicle/component has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others. Prior to or during the failure, the main symptoms were the stop-start system not restarting the vehicle correctly, flickering power, and the vehicle failing to move despite pressing the gas pedal. The symptoms first appeared during stopped-traffic situations, such as at red lights or during traffic stops on the freeway.Read more

Approximately one week after the vacuum pump replacement, the warranty replacement engine suffered catastrophic failure. The repair facility diagnosed cylinder #3 scoring and informed me that the engine required replacement. I was told that the engine failure was related to the vacuum pump failure. Because the warranty replacement engine was no longer covered under warranty, General Motors initially declined to cover the repair. Initially, neither General Motors nor the Chevrolet dealership was willing to accept responsibility for the issue. After continued discussions, General Motors ultimately agreed to provide partial financial assistance as a goodwill adjustment. However, I was still left responsible for paying a substantial amount out of pocket to purchase and install a third engine. The cost has created a significant financial burden that I have struggled to afford, especially because the repair involved a component that I was informed has a known history of failure. I was also informed that vacuum pump failures are a known issue with these vehicles and that General Motors is aware of the problem, although no recall has been issued. I am submitting this complaint because I have experienced multiple vacuum pump failures, two catastrophic engine failures, and have now required three engines in the same vehicle. This has resulted in significant financial hardship, loss of use of my vehicle, and serious concerns about the safety and reliability of this vehicle.Read more

According to the representatives I spoke with, Honda believes this is a known and widespread issue affecting multiple makes and models and that it is allegedly related to recent changes in gasoline formulation. I was further informed that Honda is aware of the issue, that engineering teams are working on a solution, and that there is currently no corrective action available to consumers. Honda also stated that, despite the odor, the condition does not involve toxic fumes and is only an odor concern. I am not ready to accept that explanation without further investigation. At this time: The condition began suddenly and without warning. The odor is strong and persistent. Occupants have experienced dizziness and nausea while riding in the vehicle. Honda has not identified a repair or mitigation. Honda has indicated that this may be a broader issue rather than an isolated vehicle defect. I am requesting that NHTSA review this matter to determine whether similar complaints have been reported and whether this condition warrants further investigation as a potential safety defect. From the invoice/service document, I see this note: Cause: Took several attempts but was able to duplicate concern of when vehicle goes into auto start stop it will not always restart, will have to cycle key. Noticed when it did restart it is slow to crank. Battery tested good, and had good reserve voltage. Used tech line as a resource and found this issue is caused by starter not having enough voltage to properly engage auto stop start. rec replacing starter. Correction: Replaced starter.Read more

I own a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer with the 5.7L HEMI eTorque system. The vehicle has lost all power while being driven on two separate occasions. The first occurred on October 22, 2025, on a major interstate. The second occurred on January 30, 2026, on a state highway. In both cases the engine shut off without warning while the vehicle was in motion, with my wife and four children aboard. Power steering
... and braking assist were lost. The vehicle locked into Park, and I could not get power to shift into neutral or restart it. The January 30 incident required towing. The vehicle was inspected by a mechanic, who was unable to replicate the problem. Since the second failure, I have observed that system voltage drops rapidly during normal driving on nearly every trip. To avoid another shutdown in traffic, I now monitor voltage and pull over to shut the engine off and restart it once it reaches 12.4V. This takes several efforts each trip to pull over and restart the system. It has produced anxiety in my family about the safety of this vehicle. This is a full-size SUV losing power in highway traffic without warning. It endangers my family and every driver around us. I am aware of ODI Preliminary Evaluation PE24018 covering this vehicle and system, and I am submitting this so my incidents are part of that record.Read more

If the auto engine shut off is activated the engine shuts off randomly and it does not restart the engine. The battery needs to be unplugged to reset the electrical system. This happens daily.

CORRECTION TO NHTSA COMPLAINT 11754243 (8/2/2026). That complaint was submitted late at night with assistance; several fields were entered wrong and the electrical failure history was omitted. Apologies for the error. Please associate this with XXX. CORRECTIONS: Vehicles towed - YES, TWO, not "No"; my Genesis is still at the dealer it was towed to in [XXX]. Injured - THREE, not 1. Police report -
... YES, not "No". Mileage about 23,500. Speed at T0 per the EDR - 23 km/h, about 14 mph. OMITTED AND MATERIAL: Before this crash the vehicle STARTED ITSELF TWICE WITH NO HUMAN COMMAND - no key press, no remote start, nobody in it. Separately the entire system went completely black, causing TOTAL ECU AND ECM FAILURE. The vehicle lost electrical integrity. WHY THAT MATTERS: Genesis Service Campaign 914G is "ECM Update - P030X Misfire"; its remedy is "Update the ECM (Engine Control Module) software." It covers 2022-2023MY GV70 (JK1) built 3/29/2021-3/4/2025, VIN starting KMU. My VIN is [XXX], a 2023 GV70. Owner notice was due September 2025. The campaign was still open and unremedied when the car crashed 12/3/2025. THE EVENT: Exiting a highway at low speed with no impact, collision or obstacle of any kind, the airbags deployed spontaneously. The deployment caused loss of control and a three-vehicle collision. The deployment caused the crash. No warning lamp or symptom preceded it. FAULT HISTORY: B139500 cross coupling (SRS firing-loop interconnection fault), B1650 (airbag control unit fault history), and multiple LOW VOLTAGE codes. An electrical system that starts an engine uncommanded and blacks out an ECU can fire a restraint with no crash. EDR: The report states the EDR is part of the Air Bag Control Unit and that if ACU power is lost during an event, all or part of the data may not be recorded. Manufacturer closed its claim with no repair or explanation. Vehicle and ACU remain available; no dealer diagnostic was done on the ACU. We have experienced fuel leaks and engine stalling, and three separate dealerships have refused an interim safety fix or alternate transportation. This is our primary vehicle for transporting our children and it's no longer safe. The RPMs jump all over, we occasionally smell gasoline, and the entire car shakes. Everybody tells us they can't replicate the problem and claim it's okay. It stalled on

The Auto idle stop feature fails to restart the car during a stop. This happens intermittently but requires one to fully put the car in park and restart the car. This issue has caused concerns as I was at a stop light with a long line and did not know how to recover until I tried to full shutdown, set the car to park, and restart.

Manufacturer Recall Number25TB06 NHTSA Recall Number25V322 In regards to the above mentioned recalls. The vehicle's reverse camera began flashing while driving forward. The R light on the gearshift was also flashing. While driving forward about 15 mph out of a parking lot, the vehicle suddenly went into reverse on it's own, locked up and would not move. I had to have the vehicle towed to the deal
... ership. This happened around the week of June 8. The dealership says that they reset the electrical recall, we picked up the truck and it ran fine for about a week. The reverse camera and R light on the gearshift began flashing again on June 17. It did not shift itself into reverse, but the dealership requested that we bring the vehicle back. The dealership stated that Toyota has "grounded" the vehicle and does not have a fix for the recall to date and continuing to drive it is a safety hazzard. It has been sitting at the dealership since June 18 with no end in sight. The dealership and Toyota Corporate continues to tell me every few days that they do not have a fix for the issues/recalls.Read more

I am experiencing a coolant-intrusion problem with my 2018 Lincoln MKC, equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine. The vehicle has only 63,900 miles. •The check-engine light repeatedly came on and went off over a two-week period. •A Lincoln dealer performed a diagnostic evaluation and identified the same problem reported in other Ford and Lincoln vehicles with this engine. •An independent automot
... ive service provider confirmed the diagnosis and advised me that Ford had issued a service bulletin addressing this exact issue. •Both assessments indicated that the engine needs to be replaced. When I asked the dealer what could happen if I did not replace the engine, I was warned of serious safety risks, including a possible fire or complete engine failure. This is not a routine wear-and-tear issue; it appears to be a known design defect. The problem has reportedly led to class-action lawsuits and has left many vehicle owners facing significant repair costs without financial assistance. Ford/Lincoln has stated that it will not cover the cost of replacing my engine because the vehicle is no longer under warranty.Read more

I own a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk that is included in the PTU safety recall involving sudden loss of motive power and/or loss of the PARK function. My vehicle began exhibiting the exact symptoms of this recall in April 2026 and has been undrivable since that time. The recall was announced in May 2026, but Stellantis has still not provided a repair remedy. As of today, my vehicle has been out of
... service for approximately four months due to the recalled condition. I have received the recall notification letter, but it continues to state that no remedy is available. This has left me without the use of my vehicle for an extended period despite an acknowledged safety defect. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate Stellantis’ failure to provide a timely remedy for this safety recall. My vehicle has been undrivable since April 2026 because of the recall condition and remains unusable due to the lack of an available repair. This vehicle CANNOT be safely driven.Read more

Vehicle Information: Year / Make / Model: 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4xe Component(s) Involved: Engine / Hybrid Powertrain / Electrical System / Sudden Loss of Drive Power Current Mileage: Approximately 48,000mi Incident Summary I am filing this complaint because my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4xe has developed a dangerous new defect following an official recall ser
... vice: the engine completely dies while accelerating on the highway. I took my Jeep to an authorized dealership to have the safety recall performed for the engine shutdown issue. Before this recall work was completed, I had never experienced the vehicle dying on the highway. Since the recall "fix," however, the engine has cut out completely 4 separate times while accelerating at high speeds. The most recent time happened today (August 3, 2026). Losing all pedal response and motive power in fast-moving traffic with no warning is terrifying and creates an extreme hazard for myself and everyone around me. History of Vehicle Issues & Extended Shop Time This sudden highway stalling comes on top of severe, ongoing electrical problems that have plagued this Jeep. Altogether, the vehicle has spent months sitting in the dealership shop, yet the problems remain unfixed: Post-Recall Engine Shutdowns: 4 separate complete power loss incidents while accelerating on the highway (latest occurrence: August 3, 2026). Unresolved Battery Drain: Ongoing parasitic battery drain that kills the battery, requiring multiple rounds of diagnostics without a solution. Pervasive Electrical Glitches: Frequent system glitches, including frozen touchscreens, instrument cluster reboots, random dash warning lights, and connectivity drops. Media Hub Issues: Hardware problems involving the media hub module. Requested Action The recall fix did not solve the safety hazard—it seems to have triggered a new, life-threatening stalling issue on the highway, along with the string of other issues, it's unsafe to drive.Read more
