I am the second owner of this vehicle. Upon purchase, i chose to purchase all extended warranties so that I had minimal out of pocket costs to maintain and repair my vehicle. I had the vehicle maintained regularly at LaFontaine Honda in Dearborn. A couple days before my scheduled service in December 2025, several warning lights became lit on the dash. I called the LaFontaine Honda, expressed my
... concerns and asked if I could bring the vehicle in immediately. I brought the vehicle in on December 3, 2025, and after several hours of diagnostics, it was determined that the engine needed to be replaced. Vehicle mileage was 121,766 and I was informed that the warranty expired at 120,000. Tried to call Honda for assistance and they stated there was no assistance available, I would have to pay for the repairs. This Dealer serviced my vehicle the entire time that I owned it for 2 1/2 years. I purchased all extended warranties, and they would not help me. They only said they would put me in another vehicle put the negative equity in my new car loan. I was then ghosted by the service manager and sales manager. I had to go elsewhere and pay $8,595.76 for a used engine. I paid for the extended warranty and when I really needed it, Honda failed me.Read more

Purchase this Vehicle November 1st 2025 as a GM certified used vehicle. Had several issues with the camera system including the backup camera. Would go offline and not be usable for days. Vehicle went back to shop several times for this with no resolution. Now February 18th 2026 at approximately 630PM EST (after sunset) on the way into work traveling on the highway the engine lost power and engin

I was barely able to pull this over to the shoulder before I lost forward motion. Narrow shoulder. Tried to restart again with the same results. Call towing company. They attempted to jump start vehicle. Same results. All power shutdown. Truck was loaded onto flatbed and towed to dealership. Dealership states bad battery. Got authorization to replace battery from the dealer in which I purchased the truck. hey attempted to start and then it burned out the main fuse. They determined that the engine had seized and they were going to replace the engine. I looked up to find that GM had performed the engine oil replacement procedure in June of 2025. This vehicle is listed in the "recall" for defective L87 engines. Clearly changing the oil had no effect to remedy the issue. I have no faith that the new engine will not fail the same way this one did.Read more

Subject: Safety Complaint and Recall Concern – 2022 Nissan Rogue Engine Failure and Resulting Consumer Harm (VIN: [XXX] ) To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to report a catastrophic engine failure involving my 2022 Nissan Rogue (VIN: [XXX] ), and to request review of potential safety and recall-related concerns. In November 2025, while I still owned and was actively financ
... ing this vehicle, it experienced a sudden and complete engine failure attributed to an engine control module (ECM) / engine-related issue. This failure rendered the vehicle inoperable without warning. At the time of failure, I was not informed by the dealership of any existing or potential recall, defect investigation, or manufacturer responsibility that may have applied to this condition. I was advised that the vehicle was no longer viable and was directed into purchasing a replacement vehicle. As a result, approximately $17,958.15 of remaining debt from the failed Rogue was rolled into the financing of a replacement vehicle, creating significant and ongoing financial harm. I have since become aware of recalls and defect investigations affecting Nissan Rogue vehicles in this model range, including conditions involving engine failure risks that may require inspection, repair, or replacement at no cost to the consumer. My concerns are as follows: 1. Whether the engine failure I experienced is related to known defects or recall conditions involving the Nissan Rogue. 2. Whether adequate notice, disclosure, or remedy information was available or communicated to consumers and dealerships at the time of my vehicle failure. 3. Whether this failure represents a broader safety issue that may affect other drivers. 4. Whether consumers may be incurring avoidable financial harm due to lack of awareness of recall-related remedies. This failure created both a potential safety risk and significant financial consequences that I believe may have been preventable if INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIARead more

My 2021 Hyundai Tucson has experienced repeated engine-related failures associated with a knock sensor (P1326) fault that causes the vehicle to enter limp mode and lose power while driving. This issue has occurred multiple times at approximately 15,000, 17,000, 41,000, and 90,000 miles and has resulted in four separate incidents requiring towing. During these events, the vehicle suddenly loses po

The vehicle has undergone multiple repair attempts, including an ECM update and three knock sensor replacements. Despite these repairs, the issue continues to recur and no root cause has been identified. I have a Honda Accord Sport 2018 Engine 1.5L Turbo(1.5T) Mileage- 97,776 I am reporting a suspected premature head gasket failure which is affecting my vehicle and my mechanic told me this has been going on for a while now with the Accords around my year model. The check engine light which is blinking is causing safety concern due to potential power loss and the risk of stalling while driving. This issue appears to be widespread among vehicles equipped with the 1.5T but also around the years of my vehicle. ... vehicle was inspected by two independent Honda dealerships on multiple occasions including cylinder drop tests, leakdown tests, and full fluid checks. The vehicle passed every test at both locations with fluids confirmed properly maintained. Despite passing all professional inspections the power loss incidents continued to recur. The third incident occurred in a residential driveway with a passenger present and was captured on video. A Honda dealership subsequently diagnosed a head gasket coolant leak with an estimated repair cost of approximately $8,000. Research revealed numerous other 2021 Honda Accord 1.5T owners reporting identical symptoms regardless of maintenance history. This appears to be a known design defect in the 1.5T cylinder head where a narrow coolant passage represents a structural weak point that fails regardless of maintenance. Owners have been reporting this to NHTSA since 2024 requesting a recall. This defect created dangerous conditions at highway speeds with passengers present on multiple occasions. My 2017 Hyundai Tucson is experiencing dangerous, sudden engine stalling, which are symptoms directly matching Service Campaign T1B. These critical safety issues surfaced following a total engine replacement in June 2025. Despite the vehicle being within the 12-month/12,000 mile workmanship warranty, the dealership is refusing to honor this coverage or offer goodwill assistance. My claim is base
... d on a documented pattern of physical and technical negligence: - Failure to Update Software: The dealership failed to perform the mandatory ECM/TCM software integration (Campaign T1B) during engine swap, which is required to prevent the exact stalling I am now experiencing. - Dismissal of Warning Lights (Code P0456): One day after the engine replacement was “completed,” I returned to the dealership because the Check Engine Light illuminated with Code P0456. This was dismissed by the service provider without a proper diagnostic resolution, despite being a direct indicator of improper vacuum line reconnection during the engine installation. - Mechanical Negligence (Coolant Leak): Post-engine swap, the vehicle developed a coolant leak, which was a direct result of improper reassembly. Additional proof of the lack of due diligence during the repair. The lack of follow-through, combined with the dismissal of a life-safety defect and poor physical workmanship, suggests a total failure in the case management process. But when I did they took my case seriously until they learned the dealership gave me $20 off and then proceeded to deny paying for anything. I then looked at the dashboard and saw a message that said “push brake to start.” At that moment I re

During this time, I was nearly struck twice from behind because I could not maintain speed with surrounding traffic. Once I reached the shoulder, I was able to restart the vehicle. I was extremely shaken and frightened by the incident. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle again. I was very aware that I could have been seriously injured or killed, and I am thankful I was not struck. I am especially concerned about what could have happened if my grandchild had been in the vehicle with me. This incident occurred after a recall repair had already been performed in September 2025 related to powertrain/hybrid system issues. The failure appears to be the same or similar to the condition the recall was intended to correct. After restarting the vehicle, I drove cautiously to my husband’s workplace and left the vehicle parked. Since the incident, I have experienced ongoing anxiety and distress reliving what happened. This vehicle was intended to be a long-term purchase, and it is extremely concerning that it now appears unsafe to operate. This event represents a serious safety hazard. A sudden loss of propulsion at highway speeds without warning creates a high risk of crash, injury, or death. I am requesting that this issue be investigated, as the prior recall repair does not appear to have corrected the problem. I do not feel this vehicle is safe to operate. At 87,336 miles, my 2017 Ford F-150 (3.5L EcoBoost) would not start. The engine clicked and buzzed but failed to turn over, leaving me stranded with no warning. There was no prior check engine light. Total cost: $5,449.36, entirely out of pocket. This is a serious safety defect. Cam phaser failure in the 3.5L EcoBoost can cause catastrophic loss of engine timing, resulting in sudden engine stall or failure to start. A stall at highway speed, in an intersection, or while merging creates an immediate risk of collision, serious injury, or death. Even a no-start condition is a safety issue when it strands a driver in an unsafe location. I use this vehicle daily to transport my two young children (ages [XXX] and [XXX] ) to and from daycare. A sudden engine failure while driving with them in the vehicle could have had fatal consequences. Ford's 3.5L EcoBoost cam phaser failures are extensively documented, with numerous TSBs and owner complaints on file. An engine should not require over $5,000 in internal timing repairs before 100,000 miles. Ford has failed to issue a recall or provide an adequate remedy. I have a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. There was a recall last year and I brought it in to the dealership. At that time, I wasn't even sure what the recall was for. This year, about a month ago, I was driving (I take XXX to work everyday) and the display had a notice that said "Stop safely, the engine will turn off". I pulled over and turned the car off and turned it back on. The check engine light came
... back on but it drove fine. The check engine light eventually went off but the same thing happened again a few days later. I brought it into my mechanic who couldn't read the diagnostics. I brought it back into the dealership and they said I just needed a software upgrade so they did that. Unfortunately, the engine died again on the road. I shut the car off and turned it back on. I brought it back to the dealership and said the issue wasn't fixed. They haven't taken the issue seriously so I started searching and found this issue. It sounds like Chrysler is aware of the issue but I'm nervous even a new transmission won't fix the issue. In the meantime, I've had to rent a car as the dealership doesn't do loaners. This is a pretty big safety issue as now my car has shut down on the middle of the highway multiple times!
