On April 13, 2026, at approximately 67,312 miles, my vehicle experienced a fuel system failure when the main fuel supply line leading to the high-pressure fuel pump cracked and began actively leaking raw gasoline onto the top of the transmission in the engine compartment. There were no prior dashboard warning lights or error messages; the only symptom leading up to the failure was a extremely st
... rong odor of raw gasoline coming from the engine bay area. I believed this fuel leak created an immediate, severe risk of an engine compartment fire. I immediately brought the vehicle to an authorized factory dealership, where certified technicians acting on behalf of the manufacturer inspected the system, confirmed the active leak emitting raw fuel odors, and successfully removed and replaced the failed supply line to resolve the issue. If needed, the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Furthermore, my vehicle is factory-equipped with the 2.0L Turbo engine, meaning this failure is identical to the documented fire hazard covered under FCA Safety Recall Y10 (NHTSA Campaign 21V-665). Even though my specific production sequence was not actively flagged under the manufacturer's recall lookup system, I believe the component failed in the exact same hazardous manner described in the official recall.Read more

After researching the issue, I discovered numerous similar complaints involving Ram 1500 eTorque system failures, including reports of sudden shutdowns, loss of power, and expensive repairs. There are also pending lawsuits and NHTSA investigations involving these systems. I believe this represents a widespread safety-related defect involving the Ram eTorque system and request that NHTSA investigate these failures further. This is an electric vehicle. I experienced a sudden loss of all power while traveling on the interstate in heavy traffic. I nearly lost control of the vehicle as it would not respond to my inputs. My understanding is that 2019 BMW i3's were recalled due to failures of the EME due to corrosion. How my car was missed in that reacall, I can't ascertain. Perhaps because my particular car has an "S" designation, so it is called an "i3S" and it slipped through the cracks on the original recall. At any rate, the failure was catastrophic; it could have caused an accident and killed me. The car lost all power at highway speeds. I am filing this complaint regarding my GMC Yukon Denali, currently at Greg Lair GMC in Canyon, Texas, for GM Safety Recall N252494000, NHTSA Campaign Number 25V274, L87 Engine Loss of Propulsion. My vehicle has been at the dealership for over two weeks for this recall, which in my case requires a complete engine replacement. I have been advised the repair may take another 4 to 5 weeks. During th
... is time, neither General Motors nor Greg Lair GMC has provided a comparable loaner vehicle or adequate transportation. This is not routine maintenance, elective service, or damage caused by me. My vehicle is unavailable because of a GM safety recall involving potential engine damage, engine failure, and loss of propulsion. The burden of this manufacturer issue should not be placed on the customer. I was told GM only can reimburse $44 per day for a rental. That amount does not reasonably cover a comparable vehicle to a Yukon Denali and may not even cover a basic rental in the current market. A compact sedan or small vehicle is not an acceptable substitute for a full size SUV. I pay for and rely on a Yukon Denali because my family needs the seating capacity, space, size, safety, and functionality of a full size vehicle. My family has more people than seats available in many compact vehicles. Being forced into a smaller vehicle is not only inconvenient, it creates a safety and functionality concern. If this recall is widespread and repair times are expected to take several weeks, General Motors should have ensured that dealerships had access to comparable loaner vehicles or adequate rental authorization. I should not have to compromise my family’s safety, transportation needs, work obligations, or daily responsibilities because of a manufacturer safety recall and complete engine replacement. I am requesting that this complaint be documented and reviewed. General Motors and Greg Lair GMC should provide a comparable full size SUV loaner, arrange and pay for a full size SUVRead more

To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting a formal complaint regarding the handling of an unresolved safety recall involving my vehicle by Nissan, as well as the lack of communication, escalation support, and resolution provided by Nissan Customer Affairs. Despite multiple attempts to resolve an active safety recall, I have not received a follow-up call or any meaningful update regarding the statu
... s of the repair. The recall remains unresolved. I was previously informed that the issue may be related to the vehicle being “driven too much,” which I do not find to be an acceptable or relevant explanation in the context of a manufacturer-issued safety recall. Additionally, Nissan Customer Affairs has failed to provide adequate support. I requested escalation to a manager and/or a direct contact number to continue addressing the issue and was refused both. Calls are not returned, and there is no clear or functional escalation path provided. At present, Nissan is still in possession of my vehicle while I am in a loaner vehicle. However, I have not been given a clear timeline, status update, or resolution plan regarding the completion of the recall repair. This ongoing situation leaves me without transparency or assurance regarding the safety or status of my vehicle. Due to the unresolved recall, lack of communication, and inability to obtain proper escalation through internal channels, I am formally escalating this matter and submitting a complaint to the NHTSA for review. I respectfully request: Immediate clarification on the status of the recall repair A confirmed timeline for completion and return of my vehicle Proper escalation to a qualified manager or recall specialist Written documentation outlining next steps and resolution plan This matter involves a potential safety-related defect and requires prompt and appropriate attention.Read more

I am submitting this complaint regarding a 2019 Kia Sorento that has experienced recurring oil loss/oil starvation and engine-related issues that I believe may present a safety concern. I purchased the vehicle used with approximately 45,000 miles. Since ownership, the vehicle has experienced repeated incidents involving low or nearly empty oil levels despite regular maintenance and monitoring. Th
... e vehicle previously underwent an oil consumption evaluation, however the issue continued afterward. During one event, the vehicle was reportedly found approximately three quarts low on oil. More recently, the vehicle again appeared to have little to no oil visible on the dipstick and began exhibiting drivability and engine concerns including grinding/banging noise during acceleration, intermittent timing/tensioner-type noise, misfires on cylinders 1 and 2, exhaust smoke, and strong oil-burning odor from the exhaust. Due to concern over possible engine damage and reliability, the vehicle was returned to the dealership for further diagnosis and repair. The dealership replaced ignition coils and spark plugs and road tested the vehicle extensively. While the vehicle is currently operating, I remain concerned that the underlying oil consumption/oil starvation condition may not have been permanently resolved. My concern is that repeated oil starvation conditions could potentially lead to sudden engine failure, loss of power while driving, or other safety-related issues. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed to determine whether similar complaints or defects exist involving oil consumption, oil starvation, or related engine failures in this vehicle.Read more

These symptoms align with TSB 26-FL-001H regarding defective GDI fuel injectors. The vehicle has stalled in traffic, creating an immediate risk of a rear-end collision. Despite being within the 100,000-mile Powertrain Warranty, the manufa
... cturer is refusing to perform the required diagnostic tests (GDS Fuel Pressure Drop Test) to identify the leaking injectors. This failure to diagnose a known fuel system defect poses a significant safety risk to the driver and other motorists. The primary safety risk is unexpected engine stalling while the vehicle is in motion or stopped at intersections. Additionally, the loss of power during acceleration prevents the vehicle from safely merging into high-speed traffic, significantly increasing the likelihood of a collision. My 2019 Ford F-150 was subject to Safety Recall 21B10. In June 2021 the dealer documented the cam phaser issue but could not perform the repair. I received the recall notice in October 2021 and step one of the recall was completed in December 2021. In June 2023, still within mileage coverage and under warranty, I returned with the same complaint. The dealer acknowledged the problem and ordered pa

In April 2026 my vehicle has sustained damage to the timing chain, guides, solenoids, cam phasers, and tensioners — all components directly related to the unrepaired recall defect. Ford has offered only partial goodwill coverage, leaving me with a $1,600 balance for damage caused by an incomplete federally-mandated recall repair.Read more

VEHICLE SAFETY COMPLAINT STATEMENT Prepared for NHTSA Submission Regarding Recall 26V237 / 26S28 To: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Subject: Report of Accident and Vehicle Control Loss Due to Defect Specified in Recall 26V237 VEHICLE INFORMATION: Year/Make/Model: 2016 Ford F-150 VIN: [XXX] INCIDENT DESCRIPTION: In March, while driving during a snowstorm, the vehicle experi
... enced a sudden and unexpected loss of traction and stability. Without warning, the rear wheels appeared to lock or drastically reduce speed, causing the truck to slide uncontrollably and strike a roadside barrier. Following the initial impact, while attempting to move the vehicle to a safe location as instructed by insurance/authorities, the engine suddenly stalled and shut down completely while in motion, nearly resulting in a second high-speed collision with the vehicle ahead. CORRELATION WITH RECALL 26V237: In May, I received a Safety Recall Notice (Ford Recall 26S28 / NHTSA Recall 26V237). The description of the defect—an "unexpected downshift to a lower gear causing abrupt wheel speed reduction and rear tire slide"—exactly matches the catastrophic event I experienced in March. The recall also notes that the engine may malfunction or stall, which occurred during my incident. IMPACT & DAMAGES: The insurance company evaluated the damage at approximately $6,000 for structural repairs. However, the vehicle remains unsafe and mechanically compromised. Despite the structural fixes, the core safety defect involving the transmission and engine software remains unresolved as Ford has stated that a remedy will not be available until July 2026. REQUEST: I am filing this formal complaint to document that the defect in Recall 26V237 resulted in a real- world accident and total loss of vehicle utility prior to the notification being sent. I request that NHTSA takes note of this incident as part of its oversight of Ford's recall execution, as the vehicle is currently un-dri INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIORead more

The vehicle experienced a sudden and repeated malfunction of the hybrid/electrical system and powertrain, resulting in the vehicle becoming inoperable. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection upon request. While driving in traffic, multiple warning messages appeared, including "Hybrid System Malfunction," "Charging System Malfunction," "Engine Malfunction," "Bra
... ke" and "i-ACTIVSENSE System Malfunction." The vehicle lost functionality and could not operate normally, creating a dangerous situation in active traffic. I was forced to slowly maneuver the vehicle to the shoulder after several restart attempts. This issue has been reproduced multiple times. The vehicle has previously been inspected and repaired by an authorized dealership, including recent repairs (12V battery and engine mounts). Despite these repairs, the same critical malfunction occurred again shortly after the vehicle was returned as repaired. The vehicle is currently being inspected again by the dealership. The issue has not yet been permanently resolved. Prior to the failure, the vehicle had a history of similar warning messages and abnormal behavior beginning at approximately 20,000 miles. These issues have continued intermittently despite multiple repair attempts. The repeated failures, including the most recent incident, indicate an ongoing unresolved defect that creates a significant safety concern. This issue is a continuation of a previously reported complaint (NHTSA Report No. 11734505).Read more

My vehicle has been at the dealership since end of April 2026 it remains there currently. My representative stated a code indicating misfiring has appeared 18 times. Also everyday my vehicle keeps saying software update even I installed the update and it says complete. I know GM is not updating my vehicle software everyday.
