I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety issue involving my vehicle. For an extended period of time, this vehicle has experienced recurring starting failures. On multiple occasions, the vehicle would not start, requiring service visits to the dealership. Despite repeated repair attempts, the dealership was unable to identify the root cause of the problem and typically performed on
... ly software updates. I was repeatedly informed that no specific defect could be found.Recently, the issue escalated into a much more dangerous event. While driving, the engine suddenly shut down without warning. The loss of engine power occurred during normal vehicle operation and created a significant safety hazard. This unexpected engine shutdown could have resulted in a collision, serious injury, or loss of vehicle control, particularly if it had occurred in heavy traffic or at highway speeds. What is especially concerning is that this incident appears to be related to the same unresolved condition that has resulted in multiple prior service visits. The vehicle has a documented history of similar symptoms, yet the underlying cause has never been identified or permanently corrected.Based on the repeated failures, unsuccessful repair attempts, and the recent engine shutdown while driving, I am concerned that this vehicle may have a safety-related defect affecting its reliability and safe operation. I am submitting this complaint so that the issue can be investigated and evaluated for potential broader safety implications. The vehicle continues to cause concern whenever it is driven because there is no assurance that the engine will not shut down again unexpectedly.Read more

While driving the 2024 Hyundai Palisade, the steering wheel suddenly locks up, resulting in an immediate loss of steering control creating an immediate safety hazard. The steering wheel becomes completely rigid, making it impossible to turn left or right. This condition feels as though the power steering system has completely stopped working. Simultaneously, multiple warning lights appear on th
... e dashboard. To avoid an accident, the driver must physically muscle the rigid steering wheel to force the vehicle onto the right-side shoulder of the road. Once safely stopped, turning the engine completely off and restarting it seems to temporarily resolve the problem. After the re-start, the warning lights disappear, and the steering wheel operates normally again. This problem (loss of steering wheel control) has occurred 5 times randomly and intermittently (each time while driving). The first 2 times this problem occurred was in September 2024 and it was taken to a Hyundai dealership and the problem was reported (repair #1 dated 9/30/2024, mileage 13603). Next, the vehicle was in the dealership for repair of the Forward Collison Light / Low Battery (repair #2 dated 11/22/2024, mileage 14899). Next, the vehicle was in the dealership for replacement of the Front Radar Sensor (repair #3 dated 12/05/2024, mileage 15353). Next the vehicle's steering wheel locked up on 9/18/2025, mileage 24370 (3rd time). Next the vehicle's steering wheel locked up on 5/24/2026, mileage 31714 (4th time). Next the vehicle was in the dealership for regular maintenance and to investigate the steering wheel lock up that occurred on 5/24/2026 (repair #4 dated 5/27/2026, mileage 31798). Next the vehicle's steering wheel locked up on 6/04/026, mileage 31946 (5th time). Next the vehicle was in the dealership to replace the steering column control module or power pack electric (repair #5 dated 6/04/2026, mileage 31985).Read more

Received third notification of recall for the vehicle that I purchased from Don Jackson Jeep Cummings, GA on March 2024 by NHTSA. The first two recall warnings were 68C and 78C that Jeep stated was remedy via software. Software cannot guarantee that no electrical battery nor engine/transmission issue b/c the check engine light came on and vehicle kept at JEEP Morrow dealership for approximately 6

I have requested and had several cases open with Jeep Customer Care requesting a buyback or trade in assistance due to negative equity in the vehicle due to uncertain of fire safety issue and concern that could potentially affect the general public, neighbors, daughter, self, and dwellings (e.g. home and community). The vehicle makes loud sounds, smell like smoke due to electrical fire, decrease in speed during acceleration, etc. Constant fear of family, neighbors, public safety, and self. "Begging" Jeep Customer Care to help me transition into another safe vehicle. Constantaly met with opposition and excuses like being told by two different managers (Darrel and Michael) that they have the final decision and no one that I can escalate my legitimate complaint. Requested in writing several times from Jeep customer care to put in writing why I am not eligible for a buyback, trade in assistance, help with negative equity, etc. No response. Cases closed. Due to the multiple recalls on Jeep 200-2024 wranglers for fire safety issues and no guarantee that a fire nor transmission or motor issues will occur, requesting NHTSA mandate that Stellantis remove these vehicle off the road and recall all these vehicles and make each customer who purchased these dangers vehicles whole instead of investing 71 billion dollars to revamp a company. Start with removing the vehicle that they knew had these issues into the market for the general public to purchase before someone gets serious injured and/or killed.Read more

To make a very long story short, I was having major software issues with my vehicle. I had the car "blackout" lights screens and everything turn off then when it powered on i would have service lights on for my brakes. I also had my reverse camera go out a few times and my lane assistant light on dash say its not working. All to find out i had a faulty rear control module. Upon replacement i learn
... ed this EXACT rear control module is the same one used in other GM vehicles noted in several recalls but the part itself has never been directly recalled. So now I have the same exact part in my vehicle again which is bound to fail again at some point. My vehicle is only 3 years old and has done this with children in the car. I let GM know numerous times and they said since the part is replaced its fine. But I know this exact part is not safe. If you look up the model number on the rear control module you will see how many times it is noted in service bulletins and is main contributor to these issues. Please recall the 2023 chevy traverse. I dont want this part just "updated" it needs redesigned.Read more

On June 13, 2026, my 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 experienced a sudden and dangerous propulsion failure while in active motion. The vehicle had approximately 9,447 miles on it and was at 58% battery charge at the time of the incident. The vehicle was leased in January 2025 and has been serviced exclusively at the Hyundai dealership. While driving with two occupants, the vehicle abruptly lost all ability
... to accelerate. The dashboard displayed a critical warning: “Stop vehicle and check power supply” along with a red battery icon. This failure occurred without warning and immediately placed us in danger of being struck by surrounding traffic, as the vehicle could no longer maintain speed or respond to throttle input. I was able to coast the vehicle off the roadway. Shortly after stopping, the vehicle issued an additional warning stating that auxiliary functions were draining the battery. Within moments, the vehicle shut itself down completely. This left both occupants stranded in extreme heat (over 100°F) with no air conditioning, no ventilation, and no ability to restart or power the vehicle while waiting for rescue. This created a serious risk of heat-related medical distress in addition to the initial roadway hazard. The vehicle’s complete loss of propulsion followed by a full electrical shutdown represents a severe safety defect. At no point should an electric vehicle with more than half a charge and fewer than 10,000 miles lose propulsion during active driving or shut down all systems while occupants are inside. This incident posed a significant risk of collision, injury, or heat-related harm. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this failure mode, as it may indicate a broader defect affecting the propulsion or battery management systems of the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The vehicle is currently at the Hyundai dealership undergoing diagnostics and they confirmed they had difficulty jumping it to move it from where the tow truck had parked it on arrival.Read more

The vehicle experienced a no‑start condition and was towed to a dealership. The dealership performed major engine and timing repairs without authorization and kept the vehicle for nearly four months. After the repairs, the vehicle still cranks but will not start, requires jump‑starts, and now has new electrical issues and a nonfunctional A/C system. The safety risk is that the vehicle can fail
... to start unexpectedly, stall, or lose electrical power, which could leave occupants stranded in unsafe conditions. The issue has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealership, but they were unable to diagnose or repair it. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership and a warranty company. There were no warning lights before the failure. The symptoms began immediately before the vehicle was towed and have continued after the dealership’s repairs.Read more

I own a 2012 BMW X5 that is experiencing a Footwell Module (FRM) failure. BMW issued an Extended Limited Warranty for the FRM extending coverage to 15 years or 186,000 miles. My vehicle falls within those limits. The FRM failure has rendered the headlights, high beams, turn signals, brake lights, and power windows inoperative. As a result, the vehicle cannot be safely operated on public roads. Ot
... her motorists may not be able to see when the vehicle is braking or turning, creating a significant safety concern. BMW of Brooklyn and BMW of North America have informed me that I must pay a $360 diagnostic fee upfront before they will determine whether the repair is covered under BMW's FRM Extended Limited Warranty. BMW's warranty letter states that the FRM warranty is subject to the same eligibility requirements and limitations as the BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty. In my view, requiring a substantial upfront diagnostic fee to evaluate a known defect covered by an extended warranty creates an unreasonable barrier to obtaining warranty repairs. I understand diagnostic charges may be appropriate if the failure is ultimately determined to be unrelated to the FRM. However, I do not believe owners should be required to pay a significant upfront fee simply to determine whether a known and potentially covered defect qualifies for warranty coverage. I respectfully request that NHTSA review both the safety implications of FRM failures and BMW's administration of this warranty program.Read more

I am reporting a potential safety concern with my 2026 Honda Accord SE with approximately 8,000 miles. The vehicle experienced rodent damage to the camshaft position (CMP) wiring harness. This occurred despite the vehicle being relatively new and well maintained. The wiring insulation appears to be soy-based, which may attract rodents and increase the likelihood of damage to critical engine comp
... onents. As a result, my vehicle displayed warning messages, including an “emissions system problem” and a notice that engine power may be reduced. This creates a safety concern, as reduced engine performance or unexpected warnings could occur while driving. This issue appears to be part of a broader pattern reported by other vehicle owners involving rodent damage to soy-based wiring. The manufacturer has declined to cover the repair under warranty, stating the damage is environmental. However, the material used in the wiring may contribute to the likelihood of this failure. The vehicle is located in Mississippi and is typically parked under a carport. There were no prior indications of rodent issues before this incident. I believe this represents a potential defect in materials that could impact vehicle safety.Read more

My Jeep Wrangler 4xe experiences an intermittent loss of propulsion and acceleration while operating in Electric Mode. Prior to the issue, the vehicle often exhibits surging and inconsistent power delivery. When the issue occurs, the vehicle may hesitate, provide significantly reduced acceleration, or fail to respond appropriately to accelerator pedal input. In some cases, a message appears stati
... ng that Electric Mode is unavailable and the gasoline engine starts. In other cases, the vehicle does not transition to Hybrid Mode and provides little or no propulsion from either the electric motor or gasoline engine. Despite pressing the accelerator pedal, including significant throttle input, the vehicle will continue rolling slowly and fail to accelerate as expected. This has occurred multiple times, including while entering roadways, crossing traffic, making left turns across oncoming traffic, and merging with traffic. On several occasions, I was unable to clear traffic as expected and was forced to take evasive action to avoid a potential collision. The condition creates a serious safety concern because the vehicle does not consistently respond when acceleration is needed to safely enter or cross traffic. The issue is intermittent and can occur multiple times during a single drive. It occurs regardless of battery charge level, battery temperature, or operating mode conditions. No warning lights or check engine lights remain illuminated after the event. I have noticed the issue may occur more frequently during rain or adverse weather conditions. My vehicle has been subject to multiple recalls, including recall 68C, but this concern has not been resolved. I am reporting this issue because I believe the intermittent loss of expected propulsion presents a safety risk to vehicle occupants and other motorists.Read more

Fortunately I was able to "roll into" the emergency lane while muscling the steering in that direction and engaged t

He parked his truck behind mine, put on his hazards, and we were transferring gear from my truck to his truck. At this point my 2024 Chevy HD Silverado Diesel started rolling back on it's own and nearly crushed my son's friend. The parking break was on and it suddenly released on it's own. It took 3 grown men to stop it from crushing my son's friend. The force was so strong that when he lifted his hand to try to stop the truck from rolling, it broke the right rear tail light. He could have been crushed between our two trucks from this situation. I have never been notified by GM of any recalls, however, the truck had to be towed to Ferman Cheverlotte service on Adamo Dr, Tampa Fl and is currently sitting on their lot. I was told by the service tech Michael Stevens that the vehicle had several open recalls that they would address but did not offer any information about what could be wrong. I own a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander that I purchased new on December 21, 2024. The most serious issue is the brake system. I have experienced hard braking, inconsistent brake response, brake warning lights, and at least one incident where t

The dealership has attempted multiple repairs, including replacing the brake booster, master cylinder, and other brake components, but the problem continues. The vehicle has also had repeated electrical problems, including warning lights, low-voltage issues, radio malfunctions, and steering wheel controls that stopped working. In addition, fuel fumes continue to enter the cabin while driving and when the vehicle is parked. The dealership has already replaced the fuel vapor canister and fuel filler neck, but the fuel odor persists. On June 13, 2026, I went to the emergency room because of symptoms related to inhaling the fuel vapors. I have reported these issues to both the dealership and Mitsubishi Motors North America on multiple occasions since the problems first began. Despite repeated repair attempts and ongoing communication, the defects remain unresolved. Based on the repeated failures, the number of repair visits, and the amount of time the vehicle has been out of service, I believe this vehicle qualifies as a lemon. ... alership on June 15, 2026, for an additional repair attempt related to the recurring air conditioning failure. The excessive heat created a safety concern because the cabin temperature exceeded 100°F despite the air conditioning being turned on. I developed hives and a rash on my face, neck, trunk, and arms from the heat exposure. Excessive cabin temperatures can impair driver concentration and increase the risk of heat-related illness. Yes. An authorized Chevrolet dealership diagnosed the issue and replaced the condenser on June 5, 2026. The problem reoccurred within approximately one week of that repair. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Chevrolet dealership and remains available for inspection by the manufacturer or its representatives. There were no warning lights or messages. The only symptom was the air conditioning blowing hot air instead of cold air.Read more

On start up (date 6/10/26) the dash warned "Check Driver Assistance System," but the car started. Turned off the car, restarted, and this warning was replaced by a yellow "check engine" light, and a remark that the hybrid controller had a fault; the Kia app on my phone indicated the trouble as well. Called for roadside assistance; just before the tow truck operator arrived the faults cleared. Deal

My F150 lost all power while driving as my wife was approaching a stop sign on XXX. Everything in the truck failed to work. When the power went out all safety devices: 4-way hazards, parking brake, brakes, airbags, steering etc... were inoperable. The truck was towed to a Ford Dealer Garage in Manteno, Illinois about 150 miles from my home. The ford garage replaced the RL3Z-14A068-G Ford Panel
... Assembly-Fuse Junction Panel. The truck was in the shop for 7 days. I was never informed of the reason this junction panel assemble failed. This same truck was in the shop from May 27 - July 3, 2025 for a wiring harness concern with only 1,200. At first, they were going to replace the entire wiring harness, but eventually they repaired a loose pin. My truck has been in the shop for 45 days since purchasing it on April 18, 2025. My outstanding questions: Are the wiring harness and the panel assembly issues connected? Is it safe to drive my truck? I drove it home from 150 miles away from the breakdown. Since then, I have only driven it a few miles locally. My wife is hesitant to ride in the truck after the experience. I contacted Ford on June 4/5 and they connected me with the Ford service manager at Dixon Ford, in [XXX]. I asked that a Ford Service Engineer inspect the truck to trace any ghost resistance. He indicated that they were unable to perform this task at his place of service. The main concern I have: Is my truck safe to drive? We had initially discussed taking the truck on our 10-day trip to the Rocky Mountains, but opted for my wife's Highlander. Imagine if this failure occurred in the Rocky Mountains? My rear backup sensors have fallen out of my vehicle and the dealership wants to charge me $200.00 to diagnose the problem. All they need to do is reattach the sensors which were originally put on the vehicle with double sided adhesive tape which is a poor design. I cannot afford this $200.00. This is a big safety concern because I rely on those sensors when backing up. Can you help me?

... spicious about the work that was performed on the vehicle. The contact stated that soon after the recall repair, the key remained stuck in accessory mode while attempting to turn off the vehicle. Due to the failure, the contact was forced to remove the key from the ignition while the engine was running and used pliers to unhook the battery to turn off the vehicle. Additionally, while driving 20 MPH over a bump in the road, the key was knocked out of the ignition, causing the vehicle to abruptly shut off. The contact lost control of the vehicle, and the vehicle veered off into the grass before coming to a complete stop. Despite the failure, the contact was able to restart the vehicle and drove to the residence and parked the vehicle. The contact alerted the dealer of the failure and that the recall was not properly serviced. The contact was given an estimate for a diagnostic test, and the contact refused to pay for the diagnostic test. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that a representative would give a follow-up call. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 220,000.Read more

I am filing a complaint regarding recurring electrical and infotainment failures involving my 2020 Honda Odyssey EX-L. The vehicle experiences loud static and speaker distortion, infotainment system instability, static noises when turning the steering wheel, and intermittent key fob recognition issues requiring the key to sometimes be held near the start button. The issue appears to happen more of
... ten during or after rain or moisture exposure. The dealership has already repaired/replaced the FAKRA connector or related infotainment connector multiple times, yet the issue continues returning. The dealership recently witnessed the malfunction themselves and acknowledged the problem is still present. I am currently waiting for further direction from Honda technical support. This appears to be a widespread issue. There are many Reddit discussions and Honda owner Facebook groups where owners describe identical symptoms and repeated failed repairs. Some owners report having the same FAKRA connector replaced as many as six times with the issue still returning afterward. The repeated failure of the same repair raises concerns that the current remedy is ineffective and that there may be a larger electrical, wiring, grounding, or moisture intrusion issue involved. Because this problem continues after multiple repair attempts, I am requesting that NHTSA investigate recurring electrical and infotainment failures in Honda Odyssey vehicles and the repeated failure of the current repair solution.Read more
