The vehicle was serviced for NHTSA Recall 18V735 (Canister Purge Valve/Fuel Tank stalling hazard). Immediately upon pickup from the dealership, the vehicle began severely stumbling and stalling while driving on the highway. It died while driving on the street. The dealership's diagnostic paperwork confirmed an 'O2 sensor logic error causing the vehicle to stall' right after they performed the mand
... atory computer software flash and valve replacement. The dealership is refusing to verify if their technician damaged the adjacent wiring harness or glitched the software flash, leaving the vehicle an active highway stalling hazard. As for my experience, The car died in Clear Lake by Baybrook Mall. Extremely high traffic, almost got hit. (Yelled at by several drivers). Constant stalling happened in Baytown. Scariest incident was going over the very tall Fred Hartman bridge. My 10 year old daughter and I felt sure it was about to die and we were going to roll backward down the bridge becauseit kept dropping power. We took the ferry home because we were so scared.Read more

Vehicle has two open Toyota safety recalls that have remained unresolved for over a year. NHTSA campaign 25V322 (manufacturer no. 25TB06) covers reverse lamp assembly corrosion. NHTSA campaign 25V767 (manufacturer no. 25TB14) covers a V35A engine manufacturing defect where leftover machining debris can damage the main bearing, leading to engine knocking, rough running, no-start, or loss of drive p
... ower while driving. No engine symptoms have occurred to date. However, the vehicle is used for rideshare and delivery work, meaning passengers and cargo are regularly on board while this known defect remains unremedied. The dealership stated it could not address the engine recall and directed me to Toyota corporate. Toyota corporate opened a case and confirmed no remedy is currently available for this recall. The vehicle has not been inspected by the dealer or manufacturer, as no repair or inspection procedure has yet been provided to perform one. No warning lamps or dashboard messages have been observed. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Concern: a known crash-risk engine defect (loss of drive power) has been acknowledged by the manufacturer for over a year with still no completed remedy, while the vehicle continues to be operated commercially with passengers.Read more

I am wanting to share my concerns about my 2019 Ford Edge. My Edge has 64,500 miles on it and the transmission needs replacing; it is sitting in my back driveway. My daughter and I just made it home from a trip when the transmission gave out - when we pulled into the driveway, and it was still in gear, it put itself into park! We tried to put it in drive and reverse and again, as we were watchi
... ng the gear dial - it put itself into park again! Before that, I had noticed some issues about jerking and revving up so I took it to the nearest Ford dealership - after hooking it up to the computer several times (while it was UNDER 60,000 miles on the odometer), the dealership told me that they changed a few things on the computer and 'it would drive like hell for a while, but it will get used to my driving and get better' !! After contacting them more, they told me that it needed a new throttle body. I wanted a second opinion so a friend trailered it to another Ford dealership and they tested the transmission liquids and told me that it needs a new transmission. (It was now over 60K.) Ford said that if I would pay them $4500, they MIGHT cover the other the $4500 for the new transmission. I had my Edge for about a year when this happened and now it has been sitting in my driveway since last summer!! I am still making the monthly payment on it, plus full coverage insurance for a pretty driveway ornament. My friend found paperwork regarding transmissions like mine having troubles (and he showed it to the local dealership - they did nothing) so I have been watching for recalls on the transmission. If you have any suggestions, etc please let me know - I do not have $4500 to fix my car...... When this all started, I contacted Ford and started a case on it. (8/26/24). Case #XXX. I was told by the dealership to start it myself and keep an eye on it; but when I called Ford regarding it - they told me that the dealership should be the ones doing this...... I am reporting a safety concern involving my 2019 Jeep. The primary systems of concern include the Forward Collision Warning/Automatic Emergency Braking system, front camera/driver-assistance system, electrical/communication network, PCM/ECM communication system, transmission/driveability system, and related control modules or sensors. While driving, the Jeep’s forward collision system activated
... unexpectedly. The vehicle reacted as though it detected an imminent collision, even though there was no appropriate reason for the system to activate in that manner. This created a serious safety risk because unexpected activation of a collision-warning or braking-related system can cause sudden driver reaction, loss of control, or a rear-end collision with vehicles behind me. This incident did not occur in isolation. The vehicle had been brought to the selling/servicing dealership, Bill Luke Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Phoenix, Arizona, numerous times before and after the safety incident. Issues began as early as approximately 3,523 miles. Between 2019 and 2025, the vehicle was taken to the dealership more than 19 times for recurring mechanical, electrical, diagnostic, and safety-related concerns. However, the vehicle was inspected multiple times by Bill Luke Chrysler, including several visits before the forward collision incident. My concern is that these may not be isolated failures, but part of a broader electrical, communication, sensor, or control-module issue affecting multiple systems.I also have concern that the vehicle may have had pre-sale service or diagnostic history that was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase. An internal dealership record appears to indicate that repair orders were purged from the dealership’s system on 10/29/2018, at approximately 8 miles and before I purchased it new in 2019. I was not provided an explanation of what repair orders were purged, why they were purged.Read more

While driving on the highway at speed of 65-70 mph, there was a loud and felt "clunk" and immediate loss of power. Dashboard screen said "faulty engine service immediately" and warning bells came on. Frightened, I immediately pulled over in the shouldee of the highway and turned off ignition. When I turned the car back on, dashboard read same faulty engine message, then started to go through a dia
... gnostics in which it reported sensors not functioning (parking sensors). Vehicle was able to be started after this incident and drove fine afterward. This was not the first time this Vehicle has had electrical issues. It has been known to have intermittent start up issues where the engine would not turn on but only the lights and accessories will come on. After some varying amount of reattemtps to turn on car, the dashboard screen will go through same messages: "fauly engine" and go through sensors not found or working etc. After these messages appear, then the car is able to start normally. I have taken this car in to 2 different Ford dealerships, 1 Buick/GMC dealership, and 2-3 independent auto shops, all of which cannot get the vehicle to replicate the issue enough times for them to diagnose the car. It does not store any codes to pinpoint the issue. The vehicle has been in and out of shops for a total of 4-6 weeks now with no answers. Now, it did this while driving on the highway! I am fortunate it did not cause a crash, but I am scared to death to drive it on the highway again. I dont know what to do because my job requires a lot of driving, especially on the highway. I do not want to get in an accident if this happens again or becomes worse the next time. There are no warning sounds, lights or medsages before it happens. Plus I owe way more on it than the car is worth, so selling it is not really an option. Please help.Read more

My 2014 Ford vehicle the steering wheel began to malfunction, then became worse. I took it to Pep Boys Mechanic, they showed me the recall for this issue. I will include the recall attached. I called Ford who said since our vin no was not indicated on the recall, but same year make and model are, cannot repair due to vin no not on re

I called Ford Corporate who advised not covered since the vin no for this Ford is not in recall, but acknowledged that year make and model is. The recall attached states this recall does not need to be vin no specific. I told both Ford Dealer mechanic and Ford corporate this, and offered to email the recall to them, yet they refused for me to send this. I asked speak to a manager multiple times at Ford Corporate and was told one would call back, but no one ever called me back. After multiple calls I finally got a manager on the phone [XXX] who provided me case no XXX and she denied my claim too, since my vin. No. for vehicle not included in recall. If you read the attached recall my car matches all the criteria for this recall, except the vin no. As per the recall the steering wheel is a safety hazard, that can cause a crash, as stated in the attached recall. Additionally, the other year I had another issue with the bushing, when I went to park in front a store, but the car kept driving almost ran into the store that had all glass windows. Because I pumped the brake and slammed on the emergency brake it stopped. Had it not stopped would have hurt myself, little daughter in my car, and whomever else was in the store. The Multipurpose front camera just went out and a series of many warning lights came on in my Honda Pilot. The camera just stopped working for no reason, with no warning and never an issue before. I took my Honda Pilot to the Honda Dealership service department to have it checked and resolved. The dealers resolution was quoting me $2,000.00 just for the camera, with no labor or calibration, that i

They showed no concern for safety and I had to pick up the vehicle if I did not replace, at my cost, the $2000.00 camera plus labor and calibration which may be around $3000.00 all told. I can't believe that if this is a known problem to Honda and Honda is aware of it in their system, why aren't they responsible to replace a faulty manufacturing problem. Honda is passing their problem to consumers at a cost of $2000.00 just for a camera. This should be unacceptable and it is outrageous the fact that Honda knows of a problem in their system that creates a safety problem and still are allowed to have the financial burden put on the consumer with no accountability. I had 2 other recalls on file and nothing was done. With the warning lights on, I am very concerned of the major safety issue. We were driving on an interstate in Indiana and the car jerked and then automatically went into neutral. We couldn’t accelerate or put the car back into drive. All electronics were still running but the engine was not run

Because the car switched on the emergency break, the towing company had a difficult time getting it up on the tow truck. There were no warning lights going off. We were going 75mph on a highway with my children in the car! Scariest thing ever. I can only imagine what could have happened. We were so lucky to not be hit on the highway trying to change lanes and not being able to accelerate. Then we had to sit on the side of a highway for 3 hours in 95 degree weather and we were 2.5 hours from home! After 3 hours, a tow truck finally showed up. My family had to take a taxi to the nearest dealership because the tow truck would not take us. After 4 days, the dealership finally ran the diagnostic test and said the engine had seized up and we need a new engine which is on backorder. That dealership is 2.5 hours from home, so we then had to pay for another tow truck to get my vehicle back up to home so the local dealership could work on it. It has been one week since this incident happened and we have no idea how long the repairs will take but it’s my understanding that they are just replacing the faulty engine with another faulty engine because GM has no fix for this engine failure issue so it will happen again!!!Read more

The infotainment system in this 2018 Range Rover has exhibited a recurring defect since at least January 2026. The defect manifests in multiple ways: the upper screen intermittently goes blank, the lower screen has been observed stuck flashing, and audio output skips and varies in speed during playback. The system integrates with the rear camera display, audible alerts, and climate controls, so a
... malfunction affects functions relied upon during vehicle operation, including rear visibility when reversing. The component is available for inspection upon request. On June 15, 2026, while driving on a freeway, the upper screen went blank momentarily without warning. The blackout occurred during normal driving conditions, with no prior warning lamps or alerts, and was unsettling under the circumstances. The vehicle remained controllable, but the incident raised a safety concern because a sudden display blackout at freeway speed is a distraction risk, and because the system is integrated with safety-relevant display and alert functions. The defect has been presented to the authorized dealer multiple times since January 2026. The January service order documented the concern as a continuation of issues following a prior recall and was classified as a warranty matter. The dealer reported being unable to reproduce the defect during a road test. The vehicle was returned for the same concern in April 2026. The dealer's records note updates performed to the IPC, ICDM, AAM, and IDMA modules and again report inability to duplicate the concern despite multiple video recordings of the defect previously submitted to the service department. The defect has continued to manifest after the April service visit, including the June 15 freeway incident. The dealer's repeated inability to reproduce the defect during diagnostic visits does not reflect the actual behavior of the system in regular driving use, where the defect occurs intermittently and without warning. (Video evidence available).Read more

My new vehicle, with under 4,000 miles, has already suffered multiple chewed wires due to rodents attracted to the soy-based wire coatings used by the manufacturer. This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a serious safety issue. Damaged wiring can cause loss of power steering mid-drive, ABS and braking system malfunctions, airbag deployment failures, engine stalling on highways, and electrical
... fires — any of which can result in injury or death. The manufacturer knows soy-based coatings attract rodents, the consequences are safety-critical, and proven mitigations exist (capsaicin-infused coatings, hardened sheathing, metal conduit) yet are not implemented from the factory. If vehicles are engineered to withstand foreseeable environmental hazards like water intrusion, heat, and road debris, there is no justification for leaving critical wiring defenseless against a well-documented and predictable threat. A material choice known to invite damage, paired with insufficient physical barriers, is not an external cause — it is a design flaw.Read more

On Friday, June 12, 2026, the check engine light illuminated on my vehicle. I took it to my local Ford dealer on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The dealer diagnosed the issue as a defective Gear Shift Module (GSM) and quoted approximately $1,000 for replacement. The service advisor informed me that failure to repair this component could result in the vehicle becoming unable to shift into Park or unable
... to shift out of Park. This defect poses a serious safety risk, as it could prevent the truck from being properly secured when parked, potentially allowing it to roll away, into traffic, or cause injury to persons or property. Ford is aware of this issue, as a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has been issued for it. However, the repair is currently being treated as a customer-pay item rather than a warranty or safety-related repair. This condition represents a significant safety concern that could affect many other 2024 F-150 owners. I urge NHTSA to investigate this matter promptly to determine if a recall or mandatory safety fix is warranted. I am available to provide additional details, including the dealership repair order, diagnostic information, and any supporting documentation. On two separate occasions, documented with the dealership, while driving, the Jeep failed to accelerate and instead decelerated. On one occasion, this occurred while I was in a single lane on ramp merging onto a highway and reached approximately 45mph. On a separate occasion, I was just pulling out of my subdivision and reaching approximately 30-35 mph when the same issue occurred. Both times, I

The center screen turned off for a full trip. There is only approximately 15k miles on this 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The dealership most recently had the vehicle for 6 days but could not replicate the problem in 30 miles and there were no stored error codes besides two related to the radio generated by the HVAC module and the BCM module. An arbitrator found: Although the Customer had established proof of a nonconformity that could substantially impair the safety of the vehicle, I find that there have not been an unreasonable number of repair attempts nor days out of service. I have received three vehicle recalls warning of vehicle fire that have no known recall repair for months.Read more

My 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid entered limp mode and was taken to Central Florida Chrysler Dodge on XXX. The service advisor, [XXX], identified three recalls, which needed to be completed, after claiming they had completed them, the issue persisted. I authorized a coolant flush without being informed it involved the battery cooling system. Further diagnostics revealed a failed hybrid battery.
... However, Chrysler denied the battery replacement claim, citing contamination from “incorrect” coolant. I dispute this reasoning, as I was not properly informed about the coolant issue and believe there is no proof that it caused the battery failure. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a warranty or recall claim cannot be denied without clear evidence linking the fluid to the failure. I have opened a case with Chrysler (Case #XXX) and am requesting that the battery replacement be honored under the recall, especially since recall guidelines indicate that unresolved issues after software updates may require component replacement. After a days of back and forth, not the dealership claims the PIM is not the original part of the vehicle and for that reason it would be covered under warranty. However the law is clear and Chrysler is obligated to replace it since this part is also part of the recall they claimed was completed. Now the dealer wants US$ 5K to replace the PIM. Components Affected: STRUCTURE:SUNROOF | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | VISIBILITY/WIPER Description of Safety Hazard: My 2022 Nissan Pathfinder suffers from a severe, chronic manufacturing defect causing substantial water intrusion into the vehicle's cabin through the sunroof assembly during rainfall. To date, the manufacturer’s authorized dealership network has attempted to repair this exact leak three
... separate times and has failed to cure the defect. This unfixable water leak creates two distinct, critical safety hazards: 1. Electrical Failure/Fire Risk: Water actively flows into the headliner, pooling behind the dashboard and running down the A-pillars. This directly exposes critical safety electronics—including the side-curtain airbags, rearview mirror sensors, forward-collision camera arrays, and steering column electrical modules—to active moisture. This creates a severe risk of sudden, catastrophic electrical short-circuits, unintended airbag deployment, or sudden loss of safety assist systems while operating the vehicle at highway speeds. The vehicle is currently leaking for a fourth time. Because the manufacturer's certified network is entirely incapable of sealing the vehicle or curing this defect, the vehicle remains an ongoing safety hazard to its occupants and other motorists on the road.Read more

I have only owned the truck since mid April of 2026. The truck has 12000 miles on it. I have only put 200 miles on the truck... 150 miles are driving to the dealership. Engine recall notification was sent out last week of May 2026. Still an open recall for reverse lights with no remedy. Took Tundra into dealer at the beginning of May 2026 to get two other "electronic/infotainment" system recalls
... repaired. I bought the truck used from a dealership. Had three open recalls (electronic x's 2 and reverse light). Got two of three fixed. A few weeks later I get the engine recall. Really Toyota... I took the truck to Maplewood Toyota on 5/28/26. There it sits waiting for repairs. I asked about getting out of the truck and my option was trade it in at KBB value ($45k-ish) I paid $57k and $3k for extended warranty for a total of $60k. I am not going to eat $15k on trading in the truck. Toyota should STOP selling vehicles with these engines NOW! These engines should not be on the road or being sold - PERIOD. Toyota still using the "debris" in engine from manufacturing in 2024 is criminal. We are talking about the debris issue in 2022, 2023, 2024 engines.... This is outright criminal. Shame on you Toyota. I am a Toyota buyer. I own a 2019 Corolla. My friends and family are also Toyota owners. This V35A engine is a complete failure and production should be stopped. I kick myself for not doing more research before buying the truck. I never would have purchased knowing the ongoing engine issues. Dumb me - I am buying a Toyota because I trust there is no reason to worry - boy was I wrong. Please hold Toyota accountable for this. Toyota should buy back every vehicle that has this engine if the owners want that option. Anyone with a 2022 - 2026 V35A engine - drive at your own and everyone else on the road - risk.Read more

Regarding headlight warnings and horn malfunction and/or other possible electrical safety issues. ... as been unwilling to have the dealer do any diagnostic work to adequately determine any potential safety issues. Within the last month one of the horns has quit working, possibly shorted out. Due to parts not being available the dealer cannot repair the motorcycle. They will not diagnose until parts are available and BMW NA does not seem to be willing to work with them to resolve the issue in a timely manner. BMW NA representatives only state in an email all they will do for now is "monitor" the situation. Communication has basically been not existent regarding the issues. I do not know if the motorcycle will leave me stranded or worse at this point due to these potentially serious electrical malfunctions. I don't know if the prior brake incident is related to this problem due to BMW NA and the dealer not giving me ANY information. BMW NA is apparently not willing to perform proper diagnostic procedure I feel the unit is unsafe to use.Read more

While driving at highway speed on I-275with cruise control engaged on afternoon of June 11 the truck suddenly began slowing down. I couldn't get it to accelerate. I ultimately had to get over two lanes and still had enough momentum to get off an exit ramp. At the end of the ramp, I noticed I was unable to get the truck to accelerate from a stopped position either. Only then did I notice the dial t

The vehicle has an issue where when it is off and the key is nowhere near it. It turns on and makes strange noises. I have video footage of it that has been sent to the dealership and they were not able to duplicate it after a very short period of time at the dealership I’ve since had the same issue numerous times as well as the battery has since died as well. I’ve had other issues happen wher
... e the vehicle has died with no warning, and I lost all power. The vehicle often times overheats where if you touched the vehicle in certain spots, it’s burning hot. The electrical system seems to have faulty in it as things like the temperature are never accurate and seem to have issues with glitching that has not been able to be duplicated although I have video proof of that as well. Considering all of the safety recalls that have never been remedied like the battery fires. There is no actual remedy that’s been done. All they do is scan the batteries currently to see if there are current issues happening, but there have been fires that have happened to people’s vehicle since with all of the issues that I’ve had with my vehicle with it powering on when the keys are nowhere near it. It’s very scary to have a vehicle that can catch fire with all of the electrical issues currently has That have never been corrected.Read more

The dash screen has gone out at random times. Currently there is not TSB or any acknowledgement from Kia about this safety issue. The only fix from customers online was that Kia replaced the entire gauge cluster which is a massive expense to Kia. The consumers are suffering because of this and Kia

I leased a brand new vehicle on June 8th. On June 12th, I took it to the dealer's service center because of a warning message, accompanied with a loud chime that said: "Emergency Call Unit Malfunction", the SOS red light was also on. I picked the car up today, June 15th. Shortly leaving the dealership, I was driving on the freeway crawling traffic with my husband and 4 year old child in the vehicl
... e. Suddenly, the service/wrench icon started flashing on the dashboard, and the car's engine completely died and stalled while we were moving on the highway. At the exact second the engine died, dash and infotainment screen went completely black, the A/C shut off as well. I instantly lost my speedometer and all safety alerts while stuck in traffic. I was still stepping on my brakes, and turned my hazard lights on so we could pull over to safety. Screens went back on and engine came back on. We were fortunate to be by the nearest exit and took it. The screens went back on, but service light was still flashing. We were able to drive the car to Mazda, and was provided a loaner car. This is a massive safety issue and hazard that put my family in immediate danger on a busy highway just following a dealer service.Read more
