Summary: Recurring weak/no-start condition due to low battery voltage despite new battery replacement. Charging system (VVCS) fails to adequately maintain battery charge on normal driving patterns. -Purchased certified pre-owned vehicle Dec 2024. -Began experiencing weak battery (weak or no starts) approximately Jul 2025. Jump started and charged for a few months, as issue was intermittent. -
... Symptoms got worse, brought vehicle to dealer Nov 2025. Battery tested bad and replaced by dealer. -Experienced weak battery again June 2026. Voltage readings: 12.16V resting, drops to ~12V while driving after initial 15V spike. Charged battery with battery charger. -Took vehicle to dealer again 6/29/26. Dealer confirmed smart charging behavior, no parasitic draw, no codes, good battery (had been recently charged), good alternator. Dealer suggested that smart charging system does not align with driving behavior and recommended battery maintainer as workaround. Safety impact: Weak starting creates potential stranding or safety risk (especially in traffic or emergencies).Read more

There is a known urgent recall with no remedy after 1 month to over 1 million vehicles. Crystar, Mopar, and FCA have done nothing to update owners on when repairs can be made. The website to "Request to be notified when parts become available" does not work.

I was driving the vehicle, when I started to fell a " Shuddering " sensation on acceleration. I let off the gas pedal and the Shuddering went away. A few miles down the road the check engine light came on and was flashing. I immediately pulled and shut the vehicle off. After sitting for 10 minutes I restarted the vehicle and the check engine light was no longer on, but the " Shuddering " sensation
... was still present. I took it to Dupratt Ford in Auburn,Ca. and they diagnosed it as a Cylinder 1 mis-fire. Upon further inspection they found water in the Cylinder 1 spark plug well. After doing some research I found out the Ford issued TSB 23-2011for this exact issue, but did not order a recall to fix the faulty windshield cowl which is the problem. I found thousands of complaints and numerous Ranger owners who have had the exact same issue and had to pay out of pocket to get the issue and damaged fixed. Meanwhile Ford knew about the issue and did absolutely nothing, did not even alert the owners of the issue. I was lucky and did not have to replace the cylinder head, but others have not been so lucky. I had to pay over $1800 to have the mis-fire issue fixed and had to do my own preventative measures to seal the windshield cowl. I contacted Ford and they were only willing to reimburse me $725 dollars of my repair bill which was 100% their fault.Read more

While driving my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe in normal conditions, the vehicle unexpectedly loses electric drive power. Power is reduced in stages — to approximately 50%, then 25% — then electric mode is disabled and the dash displays "Electric Mode Temporarily Unavailable," after which the vehicle forces into hybrid operation after a delay. During the delay, the vehicle does not deliver the power
... requested by the accelerator. This has occurred at 41%, 73%, and 81% battery state of charge during normal driving, with no wide-open-throttle demand — conditions under which the manufacturer's specification states electric power should continue. This is a loss of drive power. The manufacturer's own recall A7C (NHTSA campaign 25V710000) identifies a software error that may result in loss of drive power in these vehicles, and states that a loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. My vehicle exhibits this condition but is not included in that recall population, which raises a question of whether the recall scope covers all affected vehicles. Safety risk: unexpected loss of drive power during normal driving — including when merging, crossing intersections, or pulling into traffic — creates a delay in which the vehicle does not respond to the accelerator as expected. Reproduced by the dealer: dealership service personnel personally experienced the loss of electric propulsion during a test drive, and the condition was also reproduced on a second 4xe vehicle at the dealership. In all cases, no diagnostic trouble codes were present, no repair was performed, and the vehicle was returned as "operating as designed." A neutral arbitrator in the manufacturer's warranty arbitration found that a nonconformity exists with a propulsion issue on the vehicle. The condition has not been properly diagnosed because I am unable to obtain the diagnostic measurement I have requested. The manufacturer's case manager has stated that warranty coverage for diagnostic testing cannot be confirmedRead more

The vehicle is subject to Alfa Romeo Safety Recall 93C (NHTSA Campaign 25V586) for a defective Fuel Delivery Module. The safety defect is an active, un-remedied hazard. The vehicle is currently located at [Name of Alfa Romeo Dealership] for an official diagnosis and is available for inspection. The vehicle has an active safety recall for sudden, catastrophic engine stalling at highway speeds due t

Because the manufacturer has not provided a remedy or a safe alternative transport, I am forced to choose between driving a vehicle with an acknowledged highway-stalling hazard or being completely deprived of my transportation. The vehicle cannot be safely operated in commerce until Recall 93C is performed. The vehicle is currently undergoing inspection by the manufacturer's authorized technicians at the Alfa Romeo dealership. It has also been reviewed administratively through a claim with the National Center for Dispute Settlement (NCDS), which was denied based on mileage despite the active federal safety recall. The vehicle displayed an "Excessive Oil" warning and experienced heavy smoking from the engine bay beginning around June 25, 2026. While the vehicle has also been undergoing cooling system repairs, the presence of these severe engine warnings and thermal symptoms creates an immediate escalation of risk when combined with the active 93C fuel pump recall.Read more

My 2024 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate 1500 experienced a catastrophic powertrain failure that created a serious safety hazard. On XXX, while driving at highway speeds, the truck unexpectedly shifted into neutral, causing an immediate loss of propulsion. During this event, the electrical system was also affected. The battery power dropped, power steering assistance was lost, and due to the electronic
... push-button start system, the vehicle could not be restarted while in this condition. This placed me and surrounding motorists at significant risk of a crash. I initially brought the vehicle to Point GMC, where I was advised no issue was found. After the problem continued, I returned on XXX and a dealership technician rode with me. During the test drive on [XXX], the truck again shifted into neutral, confirming the defect. The vehicle was then towed to the dealership, where diagnostics revealed DTC P0016. I was informed the engine had seized and required a complete engine replacement. The engine was replaced by an authorized GMC dealership in New Jersey. After only about 2,000 miles, the check engine light returned and the vehicle began experiencing additional electrical issues. This is a Denali Ultimate, the highest trim level, with advanced electronic systems, making these recurring failures especially concerning. To date, the vehicle has been inspected by three authorized GMC dealerships, and I have opened multiple cases with GMC Corporate. Despite repeated repair attempts, the manufacturer has not provided a permanent resolution. I continue to experience recurring engine and electrical issues and no longer have confidence in the safety or reliability of this vehicle. Given the repeated failures, loss of propulsion, loss of steering assistance, inability to restart the vehicle, and lack of resolution after multiple dealership visits and an engine replacement, I believe this matter warrants investigation by NHTSA. ... /15/2026 The hybrid battery failed completely, causing the Jeep to stall in traffic. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, where the hybrid battery was replaced. 06/01/2026 The Jeep was returned to me after repairs. 06/02/2026 The Jeep again lost power and stalled in the middle of the road. After moving it to safety, it was towed back to the dealer. Additional components were replaced. 06/20/2026 The Jeep was returned to me once more. Post‑Repair Behavior (Ongoing) Since being returned, the Jeep continues to suffer sudden and major loss of electric propulsion while driving. Key Takeaways Recurring safety‑critical failures: Vehicle repeatedly stalls without warning in active traffic. Multiple unsuccessful repairs: Battery replacement and additional component replacements have not corrected the issue.
