The vehicle’s secondary Autopilot Processor / car computer is internally faulted and stuck in a continuous wake/shutdown loop. This causes severe standby battery drain (~20 miles of range lost per day while parked) and completely prevents all over-the-air software updates - including federally mandated safety recall remedies. On April 4, 2024, Tesla Service diagnosed the fault and linked it to
... the drain and inability to update. On the same visit, Tesla added two safety recalls (23V-838 Autosteer controls and 24V-051 Brake/Park/ABS indicators) to the work order. They then demanded ~$3,000 customer payment for computer replacement before the recalls could be performed. After I declined the paid repair, Tesla marked both recalls as “completed” via software update despite the same invoice stating the vehicle could not receive updates and remained on software version 2023.38.9 (which predates both remedy firmwares they claimed was installed). Tesla is effectively paywalling federally required safety recall remedies by requiring the customer to first pay for computer replacement first. Two additional recalls remain open (21V-389 seat belt fasteners and 24V-554 hood latch). The problem has been confirmed and documented multiple times by Tesla Service.Read more

I own a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sahara JKU with approximately 67,000 miles. The vehicle has experienced a failure involving the ABS control module and related braking/stability systems. Current symptoms include: * ABS warning light illuminated * Brake warning light illuminated * Traction control warning light illuminated * Intermittent speedometer malfunction * Brake pedal occasionally vibrates and b
... ecomes soft during operation * Vehicle hesitates for several seconds when accelerating from a stopped position while dashboard warning lights flash The vehicle has been diagnosed by two separate Jeep repair facilities as having a failed ABS control module. I have been informed that replacement ABS modules for this vehicle have been unavailable for approximately nine months and remain unavailable as of today. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting Jeep Wrangler JK vehicles, with many owners reportedly unable to obtain replacement safety-critical ABS modules through Mopar or dealership networks. Because the ABS and traction/stability systems are malfunctioning, the vehicle cannot pass inspection and is unsafe for my family of four, especially during rain or emergency braking situations. This issue affects federally mandated vehicle safety systems, including anti-lock braking and electronic stability control. Owners should not be left without access to replacement parts for critical safety equipment for extended periods of time.Read more

I was driving normally, having started my car after leaving a store at the time, while backing up, I received an ad (depicted below) for the SiriusXM limited time offer. This advertisement completely blocked the entirety of the infotainment system, disabling the navigation components completely, disabling my ability to use the backup camera, and did not alert while backing up, nearly causing a ser
... ious collision while driving. This advertisement is not safe to be displayed while operating the vehicle, and you are unable to use anything on the infotainment system (backup camera, safety features and alerting) until you dismiss the ad. Dismissing the ad is additionally in a very unsafe position to be drawing attention while driving the vehicle. This is in direct violation of NHTSA standards listed here: [XXX] Based on the information listed therein, the infotainment software violates Section V of the NHTSA Visual-Manual Driver Distraction Guidelines by displaying non-driving related promotional/advertisement text and failing to lock out intrusive screen elements while the vehicle is in motion. The intrusive element physically blocks you from seeing or interacting with driving-critical systems. It blocks your backup camera feed, your onboard navigation system, and climate control menus while driving. Due to the ad or system notification not automatically clearing itself, it forces you to divert your eyes from the road for longer than the recommended 2-second glimpse limit, creating a critical safety hazard. 2021 Land Rover Discovery 48V mild hybrid (MHEV). Recurring 12V system failures: repeated depleted/dead 12V batteries and no-start events. The 12V battery has failed and been replaced three times during my ownership (two documented at a franchised Land Rover dealer and an independent shop), plus a prior replacement under the previous owner per the vehicle history report. Symptoms: the vehicle wil
... l not start without a jump, repeated low-battery and SOS/telematics warnings, blank infotainment display, and full battery depletion after the vehicle sits unused for as little as 3 days, even with a battery maintainer in use. Dealer cloud diagnosis confirmed two contributing faults. First, elevated parasitic/quiescent current draw from control modules not entering proper sleep state, measured at 1.6A versus a normal value near 0.01A. Second, inadequate 12V charging. The dealer replaced the 12V and telematics backup batteries and applied software updates to multiple modules (including TCU and BCM), yet the failures recurred. This VIN has an open safety recall on MHEVs (NHTSA 26V-248, manufacturer D126) describing a DCDC converter internal fault that causes loss of 12V system charging and a "Stop Safely, Electrical Fault Detected" warning, with potential loss of motive power, coasting to a stop, and loss of exterior lighting. The remedy is not yet available. Safety risk: loss of 12V charging and battery depletion can cause stalling, loss of motive power in traffic, no-start and stranding, and loss of lighting, all of which increase crash risk. On one occasion the vehicle barely started after sitting at an airport lot, nearly leaving my family stranded. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by both a franchised dealer and an independent service center. The vehicle and the failed batteries are available for inspection on request. Warning messages first appeared before the current failure and have recurred across multiple battery replacements.Read more

The shift-by-wire system failed while the vehicle was being parked. The vehicle would not shift out of Drive; repeated attempts to engage Park resulted in Neutral only, with a "PARK malfunction. Engage parking brake when parking vehicle." warning displayed in the instrument cluster. Because this vehicle requires Park to be engaged before it can be powered off, the vehicle also could not be turned
... off. I was trapped with an energized vehicle that could not be secured in Park or shut down for approximately 30 minutes. A red 12-volt battery warning lamp was illuminated in the instrument cluster during the event (photo attached showing the malfunction message, Neutral gear state, and battery warning lamp). I secured the vehicle using the electronic parking brake. Safety risk: a vehicle that cannot engage Park or power off risks rollaway and leaves the driver unable to safely exit and secure the vehicle, particularly on a grade or in traffic. This is the second occurrence of a shift-to-park failure on this vehicle. The vehicle was previously taken to an authorized dealer for the same symptom; the dealer cleared diagnostic codes without repair and the problem recurred. The vehicle is scheduled for further dealer diagnosis and is available for inspection upon request. I am reporting a significant safety concern regarding my 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB. While my specific VIN has not been included in the current high-voltage battery fire risk recall (NHTSA Campaign 26V073000), my vehicle is a 2023 model that shares the identical high-voltage battery architecture, manufacturing window, and platform design as the approximately 12,000 EQB vehicles officially recalled due

Due to the proximity of my vehicle's design to those definitively identified as defective, I have lost confidence in the vehicle's safe operation. I can no longer park this vehicle in an enclosed garage or charge it with confidence, effectively limiting my ability to utilize the vehicle as intended. My 2017 Honda Pilot Touring has experienced ongoing electrical and battery-related issues for several years and has been in and out of authorized Honda dealerships numerous times. The vehicle has been serviced repeatedly at both Fowler Honda in [XXX], and Pensacola Honda in [XXX]. Due to the inability to diagnose the problem, the issue was escalated by Pensacola Honda to American Honda’s technic
... al line. After extensive diagnostics over two days, the technicians informed me that Honda engineers are aware of an issue but currently do not have a solution, although they are working on one. On XXX, while turning left from [XXX] onto [XXX], I had sufficient time to complete the turn and pressed the accelerator to proceed. However, the accelerator became completely unresponsive and the vehicle would not accelerate. My vehicle was left partially in the intersection while an oncoming vehicle approached. The other driver could have easily struck the driver’s side of my vehicle, creating the risk of a serious or fatal accident. Fortunately, a collision was avoided, but this incident demonstrated a significant safety hazard. In addition to this loss of acceleration, the vehicle has experienced recurring starting problems and electrical malfunctions. Pensacola Honda found that the battery tests normally when removed from the vehicle, but does not function properly when installed. Despite numerous repair attempts and escalation to American Honda, the problem remains unresolved. I believe this defect poses a serious safety risk to myself, my passengers, and others on the road due to the potential for sudden loss of acceleration while driving. The car was returned without the issue being fixed. Within days, the same warnings reappeared and the situation worsened. On multiple occasions, the engine shut off completely and the transmission shifted into neutral on its own while my vehicle was being driven at approximately 20 to 40 mph. On at least one occasion, the parking brake engaged automatically without any input from the driver. A dashboard photo clearly documents the message "Engine Off! Shift to N, then start engine." Engine shuts off while idling and also while driving. While driving, the condition most commonly occurs at speeds under 10 mph, but it has occurred on public roads and highways. When the engine shuts off, the truck violently engages Auto Park while the vehicle is still in motion. The condition occurs multiple times per day. There are no warning lights or messages prior to the shutdown. The condit
... ion began after a software update performed by the dealership and has been occurring for several months. The vehicle has been returned to the selling dealership for diagnosis and repair on one prior occasion. Following the repair attempt, the condition has continued and appears to have become more frequent. I am concerned that the unexpected engine shutdown and automatic engagement of Auto Park while the vehicle is moving creates a significant safety hazard and may cause damage to the transmission or drivetrain while also creating a possibility of causing an accident while operating vehicle.Read more

I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE High Altitude (VIN: [XXX]) with three open safety recalls, two of which involve fire hazards: NHTSA ID 25V741000 – High Voltage Battery May Fail and Cause Fire (parts available) NHTSA ID 25V766000 – Engine Failure May Cause Fire or Loss of Drive Power (parts not available) 2.0L PHEV Engine recall (parts not available) I have been trying to schedule a recall rep
... air appointment for several days. The dealership failed to confirm parts availability, gave no clear answers, and ultimately hung up on me during our conversation. Despite the NHTSA website confirming that parts for recall 25V741000 are available, the dealership was unable to schedule an appointment and provided no solution. I am being forced to drive a vehicle with an active fire hazard while the dealership refuses to take responsibility or provide timely service. This is a serious safety concern and I am requesting immediate action. The dealership has shown complete disregard for customer safety and has failed to fulfill its obligation to complete open safety recalls in a timely manner. I am reporting recurring safety-related defects on my 2018 Audi A4 involving Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Audi pre sense/front-collision functionality, and related electrical/driver-assistance reliability. The AEB/forward-collision system has shown two unsafe intermittent behaviors. At times it has failed to activate as expected when crash-mitigation assistance appeared
... reasonably available. At other times it has unexpectedly warned, jolted, or applied braking when there was no apparent vehicle, object, pedestrian, or hazard close to the car. Unexpected braking or false intervention can startle the driver, create rear-end collision risk, and reduce confidence in the system. Failure to activate can also increase forward-collision risk. The system was not intentionally disabled by me, and I am not aware of any driver-caused obstruction, modification, or normal explanation. The condition is intermittent and may not appear during a brief service visit or basic fault-code scan. This concern was reported through Audi/dealer service channels, including a documented repair request identifying the AEB system as malfunctioning and failing to activate as designed. A later dealer communication stated that there were no stored AEB faults and later clarified that no work was done on the AEB system, no inspection or verification of AEB operation was performed, and confirmation of operation would require an additional estimate. I am reporting unresolved safety status because intermittent active-safety failures or false interventions may not store permanent DTCs, and lack of stored faults is not complete safety verification. I have not received final written safety closure confirming inspection, calibration review, road-test verification, factory scan/freeze-frame review, module communication review, and technical verification. No crash, fire, injury, or fatality is being reported. The vehicle is available for inspection if requested.Read more
