At less than 50,000 miles, my alternator went out and had to be replaced, causing the battery to need to be replaced also. Now, at only 51,000 miles, my transmission is having problems and causing the vehicle to jerk when shifting. This vehicle has had regular maintenance performed by a combination of dealers and certified service centers since it was purchased brand new. I have never had this
... much trouble with a vehicle and am very concerned about it's overall safety and integrity, given the severity of the problems for something that is not old and does not have high mileage.Read more

Saturday 4/4 I took the truck to get a tire repaired. It would not initially start. 5 minutes later it finally did. Then a few blocks away the trucks internal lights started flashing and it jumped from drive into a lower gear. I thought my drive quit working. I pulled over and had reverse and low so I attempted to put in drive, still wouldn't go. After about 5 minutes I was able to get the truck b
... ack into drive and get it home where it sits today. I just bought it 1 1/2 months ago. It happened to my son also on Thursday 4/2 but I just found out about it. He was going highway speeds when lights started flashing and truck jerked from drive into a lower gear. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. I want to know what you are going to do about it? I just paid $22,000 for this truck. I shouldn't have to deal with this. My son looked it up and says it is P0707 lead frame failure or output shaft speed sensor. Whatever the case, it would be nice to know what can be done about it other than switching to manual dirive.Read more

On Monday, April 6th, I was turning into a parking lot and the braking system, specifically the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake control module, appeared to malfunction. While driving, I received a warning indicating the ABS was off, and the brake pedal became soft with reduced stopping ability. The check engine light also came on. I had to coast the vehicle to a complete stop.
... The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The loss of normal braking function significantly reduced my ability to stop the vehicle safely, increasing the risk of a collision. This created a dangerous situation for myself, passengers, and other drivers on the road. Brake failure at any speed presents a serious safety hazard.I am aware of similar complaints reported for this issue. My vehicle was towed to and inspected by a dealership where it sat overnight before being diagnosed; however, they were unable to reproduce the issue at the time of service. Despite this, the braking failure did occur and remains a safety concern. The service advisor told me to "bring it back if it happens again" and that it "lost communication with the EBCM" which sometimes happens. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer directly, police, or insurance representatives. There were no warning lamps or other symptoms of this problem prior to the failure.Read more

Summary of Safety Issue The vehicle repeatedly experiences sudden loss of propulsion while driving, accompanied by a “Stop Safely Now” warning message and various other dashboard warnings . During these events the accelerator pedal becomes completely unresponsive while the vehicle remains powered, indicating a failure of the hybrid propulsion system or high-voltage battery control system. The
... vehicle and video footage of the failure are available for inspection upon request. Timeline of Events January 13, 2026 – The vehicle displayed a “Stop Safely Now” warning message and lost the ability to accelerate. The vehicle had to be towed to Lehighton Ford. January 21, 2026 – Paid $866.85 for repairs including battery service, Rear Control Module replacement, and PCM harness repair. Lehighton Ford stated the vehicle was repaired and safe to drive. Within minutes of leaving the dealership, the vehicle stalled again in active traffic and had to be returned. The issue was escalated to the Ford Engineering hotline and a Field Service Engineer. February 17, 2026 – The dealership attempted to return the vehicle after performing a BECM reprogramming. Upon pickup, new issues were immediately observed including near-stall conditions and hybrid system malfunction, so the vehicle was left with the dealership again. February 18, 2026 - The owner brought forth concerns about Ford’s Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 17-0015 which identifies potential damage to the traction battery interlock harness as a root cause for intermittent stalling and "Stop Safely Now" warnings. Although the dealership recorded Diagnostic Trouble Code B11D8—a fault directly related to the stall condition—the dealership later stated that no diagnostic codes relevant to the TSB were present and this component was not inspected. February 20, 2026 - Dealership claims that the vehicle has been test-driven for over 100 miles and is “functioning perfectly” and that a ‘battery rebalance’ was causing the issues experieRead more

am submitting this complaint regarding a failure by the manufacturer (Jaguar Land Rover) to perform a federally mandated safety recall on my vehicle. •Vehicle: Jaguar I-PACE (U.S. specification) •VIN: [XXX] •Recall: NHTSA Campaign 23V369000 •Issue: Fire risk when parked This recall identifies a serious fire hazard, yet the manufacturer’s authorized representative in Jordan (Mahmoudia M
... otors) has refused to perform the recall repair. The refusal is based solely on the vehicle having a salvage title, and the issue has been incorrectly classified by Jaguar Land Rover Middle East as a warranty-related matter, which is not accurate. This is a safety recall, not a warranty claim. Key facts: •The vehicle sustained minor damage limited to the front right wheel area and has been professionally repaired •The vehicle is fully operational and structurally intact •Photographic evidence is available showing the minimal nature of the prior damage •The recalled components are present and serviceable I escalated the issue to: •Jaguar Land Rover Middle East (denied) •Jaguar Land Rover North America (no response) As a U.S. citizen owning a U.S.-spec vehicle subject to NHTSA regulation, I am seeking enforcement of recall compliance. ⸻ Safety Concern The manufacturer is knowingly allowing a vehicle with a documented fire risk to remain unrepaired. This creates: •A serious safety hazard •Potential risk of fire, property damage, or injury •A clear case of recall non-compliance ⸻ What You Want NHTSA to Do I am requesting that NHTSA: •Investigate Jaguar Land Rover’s refusal to perform recall 23V369000 •Clarify whether manufacturers can deny recall repairs based on salvage title status •Ensure that the manufacturer complies with its federal safety obligations INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I am reporting a recurring safety issue with the vehicle’s auto engine stop/start system. When the vehicle comes to a stop, the engine sometimes shuts off normally (other time only the auto-brakes engage, but engine stays on), but then the system behaves unpredictably. The engine attempts to restart with a violent jolt, causing the entire vehicle to shake. This occurs even when I am fully sto
... pped with my foot on the brake. It feels like the vehicle is trying to lurch forward or restart against resistance. The issue is repeatable, happens in normal driving conditions, and creates a safety concern because the sudden jolt can startle the driver, cause unintended movement, or lead to loss of control in traffic. I believe this may indicate a defect in the auto‑engine‑stop system, engine mounts, starter system, or related control modules. Please investigate, as other owners may be experiencing the same unsafe behavior.Read more

I purchased the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport in August of 2025. There were issues after about a week with all kinds of messages of components not working cycling through constantly on the display. It worked okay for a short time and then I had the same issues and now added to those were it wouldn't start for at least 15 minutes and several tries. Cruise Control could not be used and the turn signals would not work while all of the messages were displaying. The windshield wipers would only work at the highest setting and the rear wipers would not work at all. I took it to another Ford Dealership and they said it was an electrical wiring issue that they found. The High Speed Cam wiring is what they found a break in and they fixed it and cleared the codes. I paid $450 for this repair. Just 4 days later the issues have returned. Messages about components not working, this time the right turn signal would not shut off. I am concerned about the safety issues while driving with my turn signal stuck on. I called the same Ford dealership and they can get it in on Friday so that I can have a loaner car. On 11/7/25 , we were driving my 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 to a friend's home in rural [XXX] , a trip of approximately 160 miles. At around 5:00 PM, we stopped about halfway to our destination to charge the battery. The car would not charge above 47%. While we continued to attempt to charge the battery, the console displayed a Check Electrical System Warning message, and we received the DTC P1AA700 via
... BlueLink. We were concerned about our safety on the drive up to the mountains. We were afraid the car would stop running on the highway and cause an accident. We were also concerned the car would die in a remote area and we would be stranded. However, the dealership was closed for the weekend. We drove carefully to our friend's home. I contacted Stevens Creek Hyundai on 11/10/25 and arranged to bring the car in on 11/11/25. It had 13,652 miles on it at that time. Eventually, the dealer confirmed the DTC P1AA700 and said they would need to order a new EGMP battery. The car was in the shop for 128 days, waiting for Hyundai to "build a battery" in [XXX] . Eventually, Stevens Creek Hyundai replaced the EV battery and I picked up the car. I own a 2021 Nissan Leaf subject to open recall R25C8 (NHTSA Campaign 25V655) for fire risk during Level 3 DC fast charging. The recall was issued October 2025. Nissan’s stated remedy target was late March 2026. As of today, April 6, 2026, no remedy has been provided. The affected component is the lithium-ion battery pack and its charging system. The vehicle is equipped with a CHAdeMO DC fast ch
... arging port, which I cannot safely use due to the documented fire risk. I am not avoiding this feature by choice – I am avoiding it because Nissan’s own recall identified it as a safety hazard. On April 6, 2026, I encountered a DC fast charging station and chose not to attempt charging due to the active recall warning, and due to reports that charging networks have begun refusing sessions on recalled vehicles. Diagnostic software shows my battery’s internal resistance index (Hx) at 71%, disproportionately low relative to State of Health at 87.5%. The vehicle is also consuming battery charge at an accelerated rate during highway driving, with approximately 50% of charge depleted over 30 to 40 miles. I am concerned that a software-only remedy will be inadequate for a battery with this level of internal resistance degradation, as software cannot compensate for the absence of active thermal management hardware. No dealer has confirmed the condition. I am filing to document loss of vehicle functionality, Nissan’s missed remedy deadline, and concern about remedy adequacy.Read more

My 2024 Subaru Outback has twice become inoperable while stopped at a traffic signal. In both incidents, the engine was off while stopped, but the vehicle remained powered on and would not restart. I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety‑related failure involving the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) in my 2017 Dodge Durango. Although my vehicle is not included in the 2011–2013 recall window for Safety Notice R0 / NHTSA 14V‑115, it experienced the same dangerous malfunction described in that recall. The TIPM failed without warning and caused a catastrophic failu
... re of the fuel pump. As a result, the vehicle would crank but would not start, leaving my wife stranded and requiring a tow to an automotive repair facility. The repair shop confirmed that the TIPM malfunction caused the fuel pump to fail internally and come apart inside the fuel tank. The TIPM installed in the vehicle is part number P68251629AC A, vendor code 16238DA, with an additional number of 16317G. The TIPM was not inspected anyone other than the repair facility and there were no warning lights or codes prior the failure. The quoted cost for parts and labor to correct this safety‑related defect is $2,100. FCA has refused to cover the repair because my vehicle falls outside the recall years, despite the failure matching the symptoms and safety risks identified in NHTSA Campaign 14V‑115. Given the severity of the failure, the safety risk posed to my family, and the clear similarity to the known TIPM defect, I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in reviewing this incident, determining whether the recall should be expanded to include additional model years, and supporting my request for FCA to cover the full cost of repairs or reimburse me for the necessary corrective work. This failure created a hazardous situation and resulted in significant financial burden for a defect consistent with an already‑recognized safety issue. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this matter and take appropriate action.Read more

NHTSA Complaint Draft I am filing a follow-up complaint regarding Recall 78C on my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. At this point, I have made multiple documented attempts to resolve this directly with Stellantis and have received no response. This situation reflects a lack of remedy, lack of communication, and failure to reimburse expenses incurred under manufacturer direction. Immediate action and oversight are needed.Read more
