Shift to park error on dash. GM is aware of this issue and won't do anything about it. This causes stress and can cause battery drain. The issue lies within the microswitch that reads that the shifter is in park. The metal arm that activates the switch wears down or the wiring is faulty. Several Malibus, as well as other models have this issue and Chevy dealerships want hundreds to thousands of do
... llars to fix this. If it's a known, repetitive issue on several models, it should be a recall. This causes owners to try to fix this issue themselves, which can cause more damage and more money.Read more

2025 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport experienced repeated intermittent electrical and electronic malfunctions while driving. The infotainment screen repeatedly froze, became unresponsive, or turned black/blue while operating the vehicle. Apple CarPlay malfunctioned repeatedly, and multiple USB ports appeared to damage connected electronic devices. Warning messages including “12V battery is not char
... ging” and “Key not detected” appeared intermittently. Vehicle has been taken to the Volkswagen dealership multiple times for diagnosis and repair attempts. Dealer stated they were unable to permanently diagnose or duplicate the issue because the failures are intermittent. Vehicle remained at dealership for extended periods during repair attempts. Electrical malfunctions create driver distraction and concern regarding reliability of the vehicle’s electrical system while driving. Failure of infotainment and warning systems while operating the vehicle may affect driver awareness and vehicle safety. Problem continues intermittently despite multiple service visits.Read more

I purchased a new 2026 Tesla Model Y Standard and took delivery on approximately 30 May 2026. Within the first week of ownership, the vehicle displayed multiple safety-related warnings, including: * Steering Assist Reduced * Power Braking Assist Reduced * Automatic Emergency Braking Unavailable * Lane Departure Avoidance Features Unavailable * Automatic Vehicle Hold Disabled The warnings have oc
... curred more than once. They initially disappeared and then returned on a later drive. Both incidents occurred while the vehicle was operating with Full Self-Driving (FSD) engaged. During the most recent occurrence, while parking at less than 3 mph, the vehicle’s braking assistance appeared reduced and the brake pedal required significantly more effort than normal. As a result, I nearly struck a curb because the vehicle did not slow as expected. The warnings indicated that increased steering and braking effort may be required. Because the vehicle is brand new and these warnings involve steering, braking, and collision-avoidance systems, I believe this creates a significant safety risk. I no longer feel the vehicle is safe to drive until it is inspected and repaired. Tesla has been notified and a service request has been initiated.Read more

Recall 23V-431 (Honda 23-046) was previously performed on my vehicle to address MOST communication network failures affecting the infotainment system and backup camera. Despite the recall being marked complete, I continued experiencing intermittent infotainment failures. Symptoms include “Network Connection Lost” messages, complete loss of the center display, audio failure, Apple CarPlay disc
... onnects, system resets, and loss of the backup camera while reversing. The failures frequently occur while driving over bumps, during turns, and recently while backing into a parking space. Because the issue persisted, I sought a second opinion from another Honda dealer. During their inspection, they advised that required portions of Recall 23-046 had not been completed by the original dealership that performed the recall. The service advisor informed me that system history had not been cleared, a factory cable reset had not been performed, and the audio unit had not been properly initialized. In a follow-up text message, the advisor described the situation as a “workmanship error” by the original dealership. The remaining recall procedures were completed, however the same symptoms returned immediately afterward. The center display, audio, Apple CarPlay, and backup camera continue to intermittently fail. I have incurred diagnostic expenses and out-of-pocket repair costs attempting to resolve this issue. My concern is that the original recall repair may not have been properly completed and that the same safety-related symptoms addressed by Recall 23V-431 continue to occur, including loss of backup camera functionality while reversing. I am submitting this complaint because I am concerned that the recall remedy was not properly performed and that the safety defect addressed by the recall may still be present.Read more

ENGINE MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW APPEARED (ERROR) I took the vehicle to the dealership for evaluation. The mechanic checked, reset, and reprogrammed the module. I was instructed to return if the error occurred. It did after driving 5 miles. The mechanic rechecked for possibly having different errors. I was instructed that it was okay to drive with the errors. Unfortunately, after coming to a stop,
... I was unable to accelerate! I was on a major road and I was unable to move off to the side of the road. The vehicle in this state is life-threatening. (A tanker truck thankfully was able to stop!) I was able to limp to the dealer where I purchased the vehicle. NOTE: This has been a well-documented issue (Check OUTLANDER FORUM). My 2024 Outlander briefly had the errors, but they cleared themselves. I feel this needs expedited to severe, requiring a mandated software update before a life is lost! This error inhibits frontal collision sensors!Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Auto Start/Stop function only works intermittently on our 2021 Honda Odyssey. Occasionally, when the Auto Start/Stop function does shut off the engine when the vehicle is at a complete stop, the engine fails to restart on its own. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. How was
... your safety or the safety of others put at risk? This malfunction occurs intermittently and without warning when the vehicle is at a complete stop in traffic. The vehicle cannot be driven under its own power in this condition, often leaving it disabled in a traffic lane with other vehicles stuck behind and/or passing by at normal travel speeds. As such, it endangers both the occupants of my vehicle and the other vehicles in the vicinity. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. My local Honda dealership acknowledged the problem and completed a PGM-FI software update. However, this update did not correct the issue, and Honda refuses to take financial responsibility for the repairs necessary to correct the problem. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes. The following timeline details my interactions with my local Honda dealership regarding this issue: 4/13/23 - The dealership inspected the vehicle and claimed the Auto Start/Stop system was "operating as designed"; 9/6/24 - The dealership completed a PGM-FI update as directed by a Honda product update campaign; 2/12/26 - The dealership inspected the vehicle, suggested battery replacement (which tested good on 3/3/26), and if still not corrected, advised replacement of the starter at my expense. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The problem has occurred without notice since purchase on 3/11/21.Read more

On May 21st , 2026, while waiting in line to make a right turn (positioned 3rd in queue), the vehicles ahead moved forward. As I transitioned from the brake to the gas pedal to follow, the vehicle experienced an instantaneous engine stall and total electrical failure (NOT an i-Stop event). Pressing the gas caused the vehicle to slowly roll backward. When I immediately tried to reapply the brakes,
... the brake pedal became extremely stiff and nearly impossible to press down, failing to hold the vehicle effectively. The driver behind me began honking aggressively due to the imminent collision risk. I attempted to lower the windows to signal the other driver, but all electronic controls were completely dead. I had to quickly shift the gear into Park (P) and hit the start button to successfully restart the engine, which temporarily restored functions.Read more

Recently, the 2022 Outback my mom drives has been having some strange electrical issues. About a year-or-so ago the battery in her outback died. Not unusual in Arizona. I replaced it with an upgraded AGM (Interstate) version—same group, same cranking power. No issues. Recently, after an oil change at the dealer, she called back to report that a “Check Engine” light had come on. She was told
... that she probably had not put the gas cap on properly. Gas cap was on properly; light went off the next day. A few days later the Auto Stop/Start (ASS) feature started acting up (not functioning). A few days later the ASS turned the engine off and did not restart automatically—in the middle of heavy traffic during rush hour. The ASS light came on. The engine started manually, and we got it home. Battery was dead the next morning. I charged it up and took the car to the local mechanic for a quick assessment. The battery was fine, charging, but the car threw a Code: P0871 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor Switch. This mechanic told us that there was a Technical Service bulletin through Subaru that addressed this issue but was also aware that it could be caused by the ASS killing the battery OR other electronic modules which fail to enter sleep mode—which would also cause random lights to come on. An appointment was made to take the car into Peoria Subaru, thinking it would be something they could diagnose easily. It had previously been in for the routine oil change with the inspection. When we dropped the car off, I provided the Advisor the code and a associated TSB for the code. We got the car back that day and were told the following: The tech found that the car currently has a “Aftermarket” AGM battery. Subarus require a “Enhanced Flooded Battery” which would explain multiple codes found for loss of communications and parasitic battery drain--for systems that don't go to "sleep" when the car is not running.Read more

While driving on Thursday, June 4, 2026, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete failure of the electronic braking/power brake assist system. Simultaneously, multiple safety warnings illuminated on the dashboard display, including a persistent service wrench icon, a traction control warning light, and a lane-keep assist indicator light. Due to the loss of brake assistance, the vehicle was un
... safe to operate and had to be towed/driven directly to a licensed dealership for emergency diagnosis. The dealership technicians subsequently inspected the vehicle and reported that the entire electronic braking system had suffered a total failure and is completely non-functional. Despite multiple technical service bulletins and recalls issued for similar vehicle builds regarding electronic brake boost interruptions and mechanical brake vacuum pump failures, I am being forced to pay for these critical safety repairs out of pocket. A sudden loss of braking power poses an immediate crash hazard, and I am filing this report to urge the NHTSA to investigate why this manufacturing defect is not covered under an active safety recall for this specific vehicle configuration.Read more

My touchscreen is experiencing "ghost touch" per the dealership. They explained it as it refers to an issue where the infotainment screen registers random taps or clicks on its own. It is highly distracting as the screen beeps consistently and blinks randomly. I have 3 young drivers and see this as a big distraction. The dealership said Honda recommended not replacing it as they are fully aware of
... it and the fix doesn't fix it. It's definitely not a response you want to hear while you're still paying on the car and have young drivers. I fortunately have an extended warranty and they are willing to replace it but I'm concerned that the replacement will experience the same, that is why I am filing a complaint here. I called multiple Honda dealerships and they are aware of the problem but also said Honda is advising not to replace. I have seen many complaints where Honda owners had to pay for the replacement out of pocket and that's disappointing. It sure does seem like a manufacture error and hope Honda does the right thing. Rear tailgate opening and closing repeatedly on its own. Background: Arrived home from work yesterday evening, Jun 4, 2026. Parked my truck in the driveway. It was a hot sunny day. I am a full-time power wheelchair user with Multiple Sclerosis and rely on this 2024 Chrysler Pacifica wheelchair-accessible van as my primary means of transportation. Since purchase, the vehicle has repeatedly experienced dangerous loss-of-power events while being driven. Immediately before the failure occurs, warning beeps sound and multiple warning lights illuminate, including Check Engine, ET
... C, Park Brake, FCW, ESC, and MIL. After these warnings appear, the vehicle loses acceleration and enters a reduced-power/limp-mode condition. Pressing the accelerator does not result in normal acceleration, creating a serious safety hazard in traffic. Most recently, on June 4, 2026, this occurred approximately six times during a single trip. During one incident, the warning lights illuminated, the vehicle lost acceleration, and we were forced to pull over with emergency flashers activated in a dangerous location. A police officer came upon us, stopped to assist, and advised that the location was extremely dangerous. Because I use a power wheelchair, I cannot safely transfer into a standard vehicle, taxi, rideshare, or other transportation. We explained to the officer that if the van were to be towed, I would effectively be stranded because there was no practical way to transport me in my power wheelchair. The condition later cleared and we were able to continue. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by Chrysler service departments and DriveMaster, the local mobility provider working with Freedom Motors. The problem has been reported repeatedly but is intermittent and has not been reproduced during inspections. Despite multiple repair attempts, the problem persists. Shortly after a recall repair was completed, I experienced a sudden loss of motive power while driving approximately 45 mph on a public roadway. At the time of the incident, the vehicle had approximately half a tank of gasoline remaining. I observed the high-voltage battery gauge reach approximately 1% state of charge. Immediately after the battery gauge reached that level, the vehicle suddenly lo
... st power and appeared to stall while in motion. I received no warning before the failure occurred. At the time of the event, a battery system failure warning appeared along with a plug icon on the dashboard. I was forced to pull off the roadway and bring the vehicle to a complete stop. The vehicle had to be placed in Park and restarted before it would operate again. Fortunately, there was a safe area available to pull over. Had this occurred in heavier traffic or where there was no safe shoulder, it could have created a serious safety hazard. I returned the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership retained the vehicle for approximately one week but advised they could not duplicate the failure and could not identify a cause. I was told to keep the vehicle charged. My concern is that the incident occurred immediately after the battery gauge reached approximately 1% state of charge. Based on the timing of the event, I am concerned there may be a problem related to the transition from electric/hybrid operation to gasoline engine operation when the high-voltage battery reaches a very low state of charge. I am not claiming this is the cause, only that the timing appears significant. To my knowledge, the vehicle was kept charged during dealership testing, and I do not know whether the battery was allowed to reach the same low state of charge that existed when the failure occurred. A sudden loss of motive power while driving creates a significant safety risk, and I have not received a clear explanation for the cause of the failure or assurance that it will not happen again.Read more

Component: Drivetrain, brake, and engine management systems repeatedly fail in a coordinated pattern, with multiple warning indicators activating simultaneously and sudden unintended deceleration occurring without warning. Vehicle available for inspection. Safety risk: Most recent failure occurred at highway speed with family including passengers in the vehicle. Without warning, the vehicle decele

Sudden deceleration at highway speed creates immediate risk of rear-end collision from following traffic and loss of vehicle control. Prior dealer confirmation: Yes. Curry Chevrolet (Scarsdale, NY) has had the vehicle in service for the same defect category on multiple prior occasions, including stays of over a week on at least two visits. The dealer has not permanently resolved the issue — symptoms have now recurred at sixth time. An additional early service visit at the same dealer was not documented with a repair order; I retain contemporaneous text messages establishing that visit occurred. Other inspections: Inspected only by Curry Chevrolet to date. GM Customer Assistance engaged (Case #XXX). No police, insurance, or independent inspections.
