I have a 2015 Ram 1500, my experience is not unique and this issue is well known online. The ABS module (Part No: 68228991AD) is no longer working and my truck has been having an issue with this for about 3 years. The Parts departments in dealerships will typically say that the manufacturer is "looking" for a new contract parts supplier and say that a certain date is upcoming, but it always gets p

Since I have moved around, I have been unable to stick with a certain parts department for an extended period of time, but I have had this part on order with the current dealership near me for over 5 months, with no status update other than its on order. This seems like a large safety issue to me and I would like the regulator to do something about this.Read more

Vehicle Information 2025 Tesla Model Y Approx. 30,000 miles Purchased new ~11 months ago Incident Description While driving at highway speed, the front trunk (frunk/hood) of my 2025 Tesla Model Y unexpectedly opened. The hood immediately flew upward, flipped backward over the windshield, and shattered the windshield. The frunk had not been opened in approximately two weeks prior to the incident
... . The vehicle had not undergone recent service or repair involving the hood or latch assembly. There were no prior warnings or alerts indicating that the frunk was unlatched or not latched properly before driving. The hood appeared fully closed prior to the trip. However, after the incident once we pulled over, a bolt was completely out of place, as shown in my video. Even if the primary latch was faulty, the secondary latch / catch should have prevented the hood from opening all the way and slamming the windshield. This failure to notify improper latching created an immediate and total obstruction of forward visibility at highway speed and posed a serious crash risk. The vehicle has approximately 30,000 miles and is less than one year old. Given Tesla’s prior recall related to hood latch detection issues, I am concerned that either: •The latch system failed mechanically, and/or •The vehicle failed to properly detect and warn of an unlatched hood. This is a significant safety event and could result in serious injury or death if it occurs in traffic.Read more

In 2023, the vehicle began exhibiting erratic transmission shifting behavior, including harsh and unpredictable shifts while driving. The vehicle was taken to a GMC dealer for diagnosis and repair. Recently, the vehicle developed additional drivetrain and engine control issues related to the crankshaft position sensor circuit. The vehicle stalled while driving on a highway mountain overpass with
... multiple vehicles traveling behind me. When the stall occurred, the vehicle shifted into park and would not restart for several minutes. This created a hazardous situation due to loss of propulsion in active traffic at highway speed and limited shoulder space. Following diagnosis, the servicing dealer determined that the engine wiring harness requires full replacement due to internal wiring integrity issues affecting critical engine control signals. The crankshaft position sensor and related wiring are essential for engine timing and propulsion. Loss or corruption of this signal can result in reduced engine power, erratic transmission behavior, stalling, or no-start conditions. The earlier erratic shifting behavior appears consistent with conditions described in GM Technical Service Bulletin 21-NA-149, which identifies engine harness-related causes for drivetrain and shifting concerns. This issue appears to involve degradation or defect within the engine wiring harness affecting engine management and transmission operation. Given that this condition resulted in a highway stall and temporary inability to restart, I am reporting this for investigation as a potential safety-related defect involving loss of propulsion.Read more

I am writing to formally report a series of catastrophic and life-threatening mechanical and electronic failures in my 2025 Ford Explorer Active (VIN: [XXX] ]), purchased in Bogotá, Colombia. Despite immediately notifying the Ford Post-Sales Support Line after the first incident, the technical response was insufficient, leading to a second, more severe event that nearly resulted in a fatal high-
... speed collision on February 9, 2026. Incidents Summary: 1. Total Power Loss: Engine and all electrical systems shut down while in motion (40 km/h), losing steering and braking assistance. 2. Brake System Failure: At 70 km/h, The vehicle presented a multi-system failure of sensors, audible alarm and illumination of warning lights (ABS, Traction Control, Pre-collision Assistant, hill start assist not available, check brake system, BRAKE, ESC check, driving modes not available). the vehicle experienced a total loss of brake pedal response followed by a sudden, uncontrolled autonomous "hard braking" event. This happened on a high-traffic highway (Autopista Norte). Global Safety Concern: I am formally requesting a Global Technical Investigation into this unit and the 2025 Explorer Active series. The failure of the electronic brake booster and the total system shutdown represent a "Product Liability" risk that could lead to mass-casualty events. I demand: • Direct intervention from Ford Global to Ford Colombia. • A formal safety alert or recall investigation for similar units. As we drove toward the highway to begin our journey home in our 2024 RWD Ioniq 5 with our entire family and luggage in the vehicle, we received a "Check Electric Vehicle System" warning and immediately pulled over and called Hyundai Roadside Assistance. They initially were going to send someone to jump the car, assuming it was an ICE, but once we said it was an EV, they said they didn't have the
... equipment to jump an EV. We then spoke to Hyundai Customer Care, and we reported that we received the "Check Electric Vehicle System" warning. The HCC rep said that she did not see any issues with the vehicle on her end, so we would be OK to drive it. We specified that we had a 1.5 hour drive home and asked her explicitly if we would be OK to drive this length of time with this warning and make it home? She again said that we would be OK to drive it. After getting off the phone with her, we proceeded onto the highway and within about 2 minutes, received the "Stop Vehicle and Check Power Supply" warning and then, within a few seconds, began to lose power. This was extremely dangerous, as we were going down a hill on a highway frequented by semi trucks in the rain. Fortunately, we were still able to turn on the hazard lights and coast into a nearby hotel parking lot. As we were losing power, we were afraid we would not be able to get out of the car because all the doors were locked and the windows were up due to the rain, so we quickly unlocked two of the doors as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. One of us then had to stay with the car at all times because we couldn't lock or unlock the car. We eventually had the car towed to the Hyundai dealer closest to us who determined that the ICCU and fuse had failed and needed to be replaced, but they could only replace them with new parts of the same design that could potentially fail again; Hyundai does not yet have a fix for the ICCU failure.Read more

I pushed hard on the stiff break again, and swi

I realized my cars breaks, steering wheel, and gears were being unresponsive. I kept my foot on the break pedal, used the parking stick and set the car into P (parking) again, and turned it off. The car did not roll back as before, and was completely off. I turned the car back on again, and it went back to normal. The steering wheel and break pedal were not stiff, and the gears were all working and being responsive. I searched up the problem, and from what I have read, it is currently unsafe to drive my vehicle. I have kept up with proper and regular maintenance on my vehicle. I was driving my vehicle when suddenly I got a "electrical fault has been detected Pull over Safely" error message. At that time the everything is still running and working. I pulled over safely and shut off the car. I restarted it and it said "low battery, start engine". It was really cold and I imagine as the car kept running, that will recharge the battery. I continued to drive (cautiously on l
... ocal streets) and about 20 mins later, certain electrical features like lane assist and traction control was not available. A few minutes later, more and more systems were being turned off. Eventually, the car's engine died and there was no electric power to the car. I lost steering and brakes. Everything in the car was electronically controlled. The car rolled to a stop but I was not even able to use my hazard lights. Luckily, it was during the day and I was able to roll to a stop and call for help. This is a safety concern if my engine stopped and I was in the middle lane of a highway. I'm unable to steer, brake, or show signs that I'm in trouble to those behind me. The car was eventually towed to a Land Rover dealer and the service rep said I would need my 48V to 12V DC to DC converter replaced. She has at least 10 other vehicles with this issue. The way the car is designed, when the engine is running, it's powering a 48v battery. The 48v battery then converts the electricity to 12v for all the components of the car. In my case, when the engine was running, it was not able to recharge the 12v battery at all. In a vehicle where EVERYTHING is controlled electronically (even the door handles), there should be a failsafe so the 12v battery can be charged when the engine is running but the DC to DC converter doesn't work. This is a serious safety concern if this happened I needed to avoid hitting pedestrians. The horn won't work and I can't roll my window down to yell.Read more

We have loss confidence in this car's safety and reliability and the dealership's ability to repair it. It's been in the shop multiple times and continues to fail. The issue with the vehicle is that when we got a warning the power to the car shuts off. It doesn't allow you to do anything with the gas pedal no matter what speed you are going. Hyundai manufactures a V6 engine family called Lamba in which a version called Lambda MPi G6DB was introduced in 2007–2009 Hyundai Santa Fe (CM) and 2005–2009 Hyundai Sonata (NF) models. In 2023 Hyundai issued a recall for the 2007-2009 Santa Fe for a Cylinder Head Cover Oil Leak Repair where oil drips from the valve cover directly onto the alternator causing it to fail. I have a 2007 Hyundai Sonata 3.3L V6 engine where the very same issue has occurred with photo evidence that has caused my alternator to fail and have tested the issue. This vehicle model was not included in the recall despite the engine being exactly the same as the recalled model, the year being the exact same as the Santa Fe, and the alternator in the exact placement where the oil drips into the alternator causing failure just like the Santa Fe recall. The Santa Fe recall with the same issue is documented with National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below: [XXX] Hyundai has yet to issue the same recall for the Hyundai Sonata brand of vehicles, despite the same issue occurring and a known issue with the Lambda MPi G6DB engine design effecting multiple models in the same way documented across multiple owners of these vehicles with various fixes suggested on Youtube, Reddit, and enthusiast forums for this engineering failure that causes considerable risk if the alternator fails in operation on roadways.
