Upon delivery of a brand new 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 with 13 miles on the odometer, the washer fluid warning illuminated the next day. Reservoir was refilled on 3/29 and was completely empty by 3/30. Vehicle was brought to the authorized dealer on 3/31. The technician confirmed via repair order that the washer fluid hose was actively spouting directly above the ICCU — Integrated Charging Control Un
... it — a safety-critical high voltage component. Washer fluid was confirmed present in the ICCU floor pan. The cause was a nail severing the washer fluid line. The dealer confirmed the vehicle sat on their lot approximately 70 days before the 3/23/26 delivery date and that washer fluid is factory pre-filled. This indicates the leak was active for approximately 70 days before delivery, during which washer fluid leaked above the ICCU and surrounding electronics. Repair required complete interior disassembly — seats, carpet, center console, floor trim — on a 156-mile brand new vehicle. A full floor wire harness was replaced under Hyundai Techline authorization. Soaked carpet and insulation were salvaged outside rather than replaced. Hyundai Motor America declined to proactively replace the ICCU despite documented fluid exposure above it and denied an extended warranty request covering affected electronics. Safety concern: internal corrosion from extended fluid exposure may not present immediately but can cause sudden loss of drive power — a known ICCU failure mode on this platform subject to multiple prior recalls. Loss of drive power at highway speed poses serious safety risk.Read more

... ame time, the dealership has informed us that the vehicle cannot be traded in due to the recall. This has left us in a position where: * We may not be able to safely drive the vehicle * We cannot trade or dispose of the vehicle * We have not been given clear guidance on safe use or storage Mercedes-Benz USA (CMS Case #21602523) has declined a repurchase and offered only partial goodwill compensation without providing a clear, actionable solution. We are concerned that consumers are being left with a vehicle that may be unsafe to operate and cannot be reasonably removed from service. We are requesting review and guidance on: 1. Whether the vehicle is safe to operate 2. Manufacturer responsibility in resolving recall-related limitations 3. Consumer protections in situations where a recalled vehicle cannot be used or traded This situation creates safety, liability, and consumer protection concerns, especially as we must leave the vehicle unattended while traveling internationally. The power tailgate control unit (part #74970-THR-A12) failed on my 2023 Honda Odyssey at approximately 46,000 miles and 3 years of age. The tailgate stopped functioning entirely. Upon removing the interior rear trim panels to diagnose, I discovered the failure was caused by water intrusion into the rear body of the vehicle. Behind the interior panels I found: significant rust on interior sheet met
... al, green corrosion coating the power tailgate control unit, dried water stains showing pooled standing water that had evaporated over time, and clear evidence of repeated slow water exposure over an extended period — not a single incident. The vehicle has no rear windows that open and no exterior damage that would explain the water source. The symptoms and damage pattern match the class action Dubrosky v. American Honda Motor Co., [XXX] , which alleges defective polyurethane rear body seam sealant in 2018-2021 Honda Odysseys allowing water to leak into the rear driver's side panel and destroy the power tailgate control module. My 2023 exhibits identical symptoms, raising the question whether the same defect extends to later model years. SAFETY RISK: The class action documents that this defect has caused tailgates to open or close unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion, fail to latch, short-circuit, and in some cases cause fires. Items in the cargo area can fall out during driving, creating road hazards for other vehicles. My tailgate failed completely; I consider myself fortunate it failed closed rather than opening in motion. The damaged components are available for inspection. The vehicle has been inspected and photographed by Pohanka Honda of Salisbury, MD, who confirmed the damage but denied warranty coverage. No independent inspection has occurred. WARNINGS PRIOR TO FAILURE: None. No dashboard warning lamps, messages, or symptoms appeared before the tailgate stopped functioning. I am reporting multiple safety-related failures with my Tesla Model Y, purchased December 18, 2025. Within four months of ownership, the vehicle has experienced escalating issues: On April 19, 2026, while driving approximately 70 mph on a freeway in heavy rain, the vehicle suddenly lost power and decelerated to approximately 20 mph. Multiple safety systems became unavailable simultaneously, incl

This created a dangerous situation and significantly compromised my ability to safely control the vehicle. On April 9, 2026, a rear seatbelt unlatched under braking while in use. This is a serious safety concern, as the passenger was not properly restrained and had to brace themselves. On February 10, 2026, the vehicle experienced repeated software failures causing lockouts. In one incident, I was locked out while my [XXX] child was inside the vehicle. On January 2, 2026, the vehicle required service for a cracked window shortly after delivery. The vehicle has been taken in for service multiple times, and although repairs were performed, new and increasingly serious failures have continued to occur. Vehicle: 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Dealer: Larry H Miller Colorado Jeep, Aurora, CO DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM: My 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S has exhibited recurring charging and electrical system failures since taking delivery. The vehicle is advertised by Jeep as supporting Level 3 (DC fast) charging, with an official specification of 5-80% charge in approximately 28 minutes. In practice, the vehicle has bee
... n unable to reliably charge on higher-power DC fast chargers, and has exhibited symptoms consistent with an electrical/charging system fault. This has been ongoing for several months since the car was obtained. SYMPTOMS OBSERVED: 1. Vehicle fails to charge properly when connected to higher-power (Level 3 / DC fast) chargers, producing charging error messages. 2. Vehicle intermittently will not turn on / power up until it is powered off and restarted. This is a no-start condition that has created stranding risk. 3. Vehicle infotainment screens intermittently fail to turn on. SERVICE HISTORY: Please see attached repair order. DEALER GUIDANCE: The dealership's engineering/service manager has verbally advised me not to use Level 3 / DC fast charging on this vehicle and stated they cannot guarantee Level 3 charging will work. SAFETY CONCERN: The intermittent no-start condition and unpredictable charging behavior create real-world safety risk, including the risk of being stranded without the ability to recharge adequately on longer trips where Level 2 charging (which takes multiple hours) is not practical. Level 2 charging at home requires approximately 6.8 hours for a 5-80% charge per Jeep’s own specifications; if Level 3 charging cannot be used, the vehicle’s practical usable range is significantly reduced.Read more

I took my vehicle to the dealership to have all recall work done on Feb. 11th 2026. I was told i am up to date on all my recall work at that time. When I received my vehicle back It would intermittently just shut down for no apparent reason while sitting at stop lights, or just stopped in that fashion. I called and the dealership they said unless they could recreate the issue somewhat easily there
... was noting they could really do. So while parked in driveway the vehicle again had no power, I used my emergency key to get into vehicle and opened the hood to which I found the battery terminal connections were never tighten. I could take them off by hand. This told me the mechanic at the dealership didn't complete job and tighten my battery connections, Fast forward to April 18th, it was raining, I parked vehicle, still running, went into post office ( I was only gone for 30 seconds)and I came out to white smoke billowing out from under the hood. I opened hood the large flames shooting up. I quickly grabbed a fire extinguisher I had in the car and put 90% of the fire out, it was still burning at the fuse junction box, moments later a police officer showed up with fire extinguisher and was able to put it out. The car would not stop running, so once the fire dept. arrived they had to cut the battery terminals to shut the vehicle down. This was also the first time I drove vehicle in the rain since my recall work was done. The fire dept. and I realized the fuse box cover was not in place. So now this same mechanic that did't tighten battery terminals was also neglectful in not replacing the fuse box cover. I believe this neglect partially if not wholly caused this fire. It is highly probable that water got into the fuse box and shortened everything out which caused the fire. I have a document from the dealership that states they did the recall work for 22S36 - Underhood fires. But this website says this work was not performed. No inspection from anyone has been doneRead more

While vacationing in Myrtle Beach with my family the vehicle alarmed and then progressed to critical failure of safety functions while traveling at approximately 55mph on Friday April 3, 2026. The vehicle was brought to Myrtle Beach Hyundai where it was eventually diagnosed and repaired as an Alternator issue that I have found to be common with this specific vehicle. The issues I have experienced
... with this vehicle go far beyond a typical mechanical concern. Over time, the vehicle has exhibited repeated electrical system malfunctions, including: - False blind spot collision warnings when no vehicles are present - Intermittent failure of the crash avoidance system - Loss of cruise control functionality tied to system faults - A broader electrical failure event that triggered multiple warning systems simultaneously Most concerning, these failures have occurred while the vehicle was in motion, creating an unpredictable and potentially hazardous driving condition. The loss and unreliability of critical driver-assist and safety systems directly impacts driver awareness and vehicle control, which raises serious safety concerns. Despite multiple attempts to have this diagnosed through the dealership network while under warranty, no definitive root cause was identified, and the issue has persisted. This suggests the possibility of a systemic electrical defect rather than an isolated component failure. Additionally, I have found that similar complaints involving electrical system irregularities and cascading warning system failures have been reported by other owners of this model, further supporting the concern that this may represent a known or emerging defect pattern. Given these factors, I do not believe this situation should be categorized as routine. Instead, it warrants review under the lens of: - Vehicle safety risk - Potential defect trend - Failure of critical driver-assistance systems during operation This vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer.Read more

As a result of the shutdown, the vehicle lost all propulsion and came to a complete
... stop in an active travel lane of a high-speed roadway. There was no ability to maneuver the vehicle out of traffic. I could not steer it to safety, restart it, or shift it into neutral. The vehicle was fully immobilized in the roadway. This left me and my family stopped in an active lane of traffic, exposed to oncoming vehicles traveling at highway speeds, creating an immediate and serious risk of collision. At the time of the incident, I had two children in the vehicle. We remained in this dangerous position until police arrived and an hour after. The vehicle ultimately had to be removed from the roadway with assistance, as it was not operable. During the event, there was a total loss of electrical power. The critical safety systems, including brake lights, were not functioning during the shutdown. After attempting to reset the battery, the vehicle continued to malfunction. It would not properly turn on or off, wouldn't shift into neutral and remained unable to be moved. This is the third occurrence of this; once was while driving at highway speeds. All warning lights, including the battery light, were illuminated. The vehicle is subject to an active recall; however, I have been informed that there is currently no available remedy . Despite this, the dealership and Stellantis advised that the vehicle was safe to operate. Given the repeated loss of power while driving, the inability to move the vehicle out of an active roadway, and the absence of an available repair, this vehicle presents a serious safety risk and I should be able to turn this vehicle in with refund.Read more

While driving home from work on March 13, 2026, the alternator in my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (3.0L EcoDiesel) failed, resulting in a progressive loss of electrical power. As battery voltage dropped, the vehicle entered “limp mode.” When I was aproximatly 1 mile from my home when I was forced to stop at a railroad crossing while a freight train was passing. At that time, due to low voltage, th
... e electronic shifter and ignition system became completely unresponsive. I was unable to shift the vehicle into Park or Neutral and was also unable to shut off the engine. The vehicle remained in Drive, requiring constant brake pressure to prevent forward movement. This created an immediate and dangerous situation, as I was stopped very close to a moving train with no functional means of securing or disabling the vehicle. Any loss of braking force or control could have caused the vehicle to enter the path of the train, creating a high likelihood of serious injury or death. After reaching my residence, the condition persisted. I remained unable to shift or shut down the vehicle and was forced to manually disconnect the negative battery cable, which is located under the passenger seat, in order to stop the engine. I am very lucky that I had a small metric socket set in the vehice, that I am somewhat mechanically enclined, and that I have long arms & legs, as this process was extremely difficult. I had to disconect te battery cable while maintaining my foot on the brake to avoid crashing into my garage. The vehicle appears to be designed such that engine shutdown is not permitted unless the vehicle is in Park, while the electronic shifter becomes inoperative during low-voltage conditions. This combination creates a hazardous failure mode in which the driver cannot place the vehicle in Park or turn off the engine during an electrical failure. This incident appears consistent with hazards identified in NHTSA Campaign Number 16V240000 (Recall S27). Despite records indicating that recRead more

RE: Unrepaired Recalls associated with this VIN [XXX] Feb 26,2026 Manufacturer Recall NumberXNK NHTSA Recall Number26V-112 My name is [XXX] , I lease a 2024 Honda Prologue. I received a recall and took my car to Crown Honda in St Petersburg, Fl to have it done. I’ve been there 4 times to have it done and it failed 3 of the 4 times. The 4th time, they only did a partial update and told me it was
... complete and are telling me if I want more it’s going to cost me. I discovered they did not perform the Recall update. The paperwork they gave me shows it has to be a USB update. I know from my experience and my background of decades in the computer technology business, that they have minimal experience in that field. I called Honda corporate and they told me it was my problem and to go to another dealer. I’m hoping you may be able to help me out and contact them to get my updates performed. My recall shows it is a serious matter. As of this date and your records confirm, the recall is still incomplete. Following a 12V auxiliary battery replacement at Dick's Hillsboro Hyundai [XXX] , April 3, 2026), the battery hold-down bracket was left completely unsecured. The retaining bolts were absent, (later found loose in the cargo tray area). The battery terminal cover was also improperly secured. I returned to the dealership within twenty minutes of collecting my vehicle and described the condition di
... rectly to Service Manager Robin Farr, who assured me it would be corrected. It was not. On April 6, 2026, Withnell Hyundai in Salem, OR (RO# XXX/X) identified the bracket as completely unsecured with me present, documenting: "found the 12V bracket loose on arrival" and "found that battery hold down was not secured with customer present...bolts were located in cargo tray area." I had driven approximately 50 miles with this condition unknown to me. On a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq PHEV, the 12V battery is located in the boot adjacent to high-voltage traction battery components and wiring. A loose metal bracket free to move during driving presents a genuine risk of electrical arc and fire in an enclosed space: potentially while the vehicle is in motion. Dick's acknowledged the failure in writing and refunded the charges associated with this work. The condition has been corrected by Withnell Hyundai. I am filing this report to create a federal record of a safety-critical installation failure at a certified Hyundai dealership. I contacted Hyundai Motor America (Case #XXX) regarding this matter. Their representative was unable to describe any oversight mechanism ensuring safe repairs at certified Hyundai dealerships. When the battery voltage suddenly drops the vehicle loses its power steering making slow speed turns extremely difficult. This poses a serious risk of the inability to control the direction of the vehicle and this makes a crash extremely probable.

My infotainment screen just has lines on it. I am the second owner of this vehicle. It just stopped working on day and has not come back. I cannot use my back up camera system now either. I have read where this has been an issue with the 2020 model and a possible crimping in the wiring system. I am wondering if this is the issue here. The car has been in no accidents under my ownership.

I own a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning that is subject to an active safety recall involving electrical components and exterior lighting (potential water intrusion leading to lighting failure, including rear/reverse lamps). I was notified of the recall around October/2025 and contacted a Ford dealer shortly after. The dealer confirmed the recall is active but stated that no remedy is available. I have
... followed up multiple times with both the dealer and Ford corporate, and as of today, there is still no repair available and no timeline has been provided. This has persisted for approximately 6 months. Ford communicated a fix in Q1 of 2026. This defect affects critical lighting and electrical systems necessary for safe operation and visibility. Operating the vehicle under these conditions presents a safety risk. Despite this, Ford has not provided a repair, interim solution, or clear guidance. Due to the unresolved recall, I have been unable to reasonably use the vehicle. The vehicle is also used for business purposes, resulting in financial loss. I continue to incur a monthly loan obligation of approximately $2,000 while the vehicle remains effectively unusable. Ford has not offered a loaner vehicle, compensation, or alternative remedy. Complaint with Ford CXXX was submitted, with stated return calls, my repeated follow-ups, and no resolution. I am submitting this complaint to document that the manufacturer has issued a safety recall but has failed to provide a timely remedy, leaving the vehicle unusable and creating ongoing safety concerns and financial harm.
