My 2024 Ford Bronco Sport has had an open unrepaired safety recall (Ford 25S76 / NHTSA 25V467) for about 10 months. ... e dealership confirmed by phone they could service a 2019 Ioniq PHEV, then performed ICCU/DC-DC converter diagnostics (a hybrid electrical system procedure) and a 12V battery installation in the boot area adjacent to high-voltage components. The vehicle was returned with the hold-down bracket unsecured and retaining bolts missing which was only discovered when my car was assessed by a second Hyundai dealership after I had driven a significant distance. Hyundai's own shop manuals state: "Never allow technician to work on high voltage systems who are not wearing personal protective equipment." Hyundai TSBs for hybrid repairs require insulating gloves rated at 1000V AC/1500V DC. HMA's CPO form (HMACPO0601) requires an "EV/HEV Inspection certified technician" for hybrid-specific work. The ASE xEV Safety Standards state employers "SHALL verify" technician ability to work on HV systems. The dealership's website also claims its service department includes "Master technicians." The HMA training report shows no staff at that level. The Ioniq PHEV boot area contains HV wiring (DC 240V-360V). A loose metal bracket contacting terminals or HV wiring could cause a short circuit, arc, or fire — the type of hazard EV/HEV training exists to prevent.Read more

After having the 68C recall completed on December 30, 2025, my 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe has experienced a significant and consistent reduction in power while operating in electric mode. Prior to the recall repair, the vehicle performed as expected. The issues began after the repair was completed. Problems post recall include: -Sluggish and weak acceleration in electric mode -No acceleration
... in electric mode when driving at highway speeds -Vehicle failing to maintain electric-only operation -Reduced power and speed when in electric mode These issues have created dangerous driving conditions, particularly on highways and during merging situations where adequate power and acceleration are critical to safety. This vehicle was purchased specifically for its hybrid/electric capabilities, which were a primary factor in the buying decision and are reflected in the vehicle's premium price point. It is deeply concerning and feels deceptive that a manufacturer issued recall has effectively degraded or disabled the core electric functionality that consumers paid for. Owners should not have their vehicles made worse by a recall intended to improve safety. I am aware that many other 4xe owners are reporting identical symptoms following the same 68C recall repair, suggesting this is a systemic issue introduced or caused by the recall software or hardwire modification, so this is not an isolated incident.Read more

I own a Hyundai Elantra with approximately 103,000 miles. The vehicle has developed an intermittent issue where the engine will suddenly stall while driving. This most often occurs when I am decelerating and turning, such as when entering or navigating roundabouts. At the time of the stall, multiple warning indicators appear simultaneously, including the check engine light, battery warning light,
... and a “no key detected” message. There are no prior warning signs before the failure occurs—no unusual noises, no loss of power leading up to the event, and no dashboard warnings in advance. The stall is sudden and unexpected. When the vehicle stalls, I must quickly shift into park and restart the engine. The car restarts immediately without hesitation, and all warning lights disappear. The vehicle then operates normally again until the issue randomly reoccurs. This has happened multiple times. This issue creates a safety risk because the vehicle loses power unexpectedly while in motion, particularly during low-speed turns and in roundabouts, which could increase the risk of a collision due to sudden loss of propulsion and reduced control. The problem has not yet been formally diagnosed by a dealer or independent repair shop, but based on research and similar reported cases, it may be related to an intermittent engine or electrical signal failure. The issue has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. UNKNOWN as to the exact failed component, but the failure appears to involve a sudden loss of engine operation without warning, followed by immediate recovery upon restart.Read more

The vehicle experienced a failure of the steering system, specifically the steering gearbox. The steering intermittently sticks, binds, and resists input, followed by sudden release, causing unpredictable response and difficulty maintaining control. The vehicle also pulls unexpectedly, creating a serious safety hazard, especially at highway speeds. The vehicle is unsafe to operate and is currently
... at a dealership for inspection. Prior to failure, symptoms included increasing steering resistance, inconsistent feel, and intermittent sticking, which worsened over time until the vehicle became undrivable. The issue has been diagnosed and confirmed by an authorized dealership, which determined the steering gearbox requires replacement. The dealership indicated the failure was not due to misuse, damage, or lack of maintenance. There are similar steering-related failures reported in comparable vehicles; however, this vehicle is excluded based on VIN eligibility. Despite similar failure, no recall coverage has been provided. This failure creates a high risk of loss of control and potential crash, with no warning lights or alerts prior to failure. The estimated repair cost exceeds $4,300 including parts and labor. The manufacturer has been contacted, but no resolution has been provided. This failure occurred during normal operation and was not caused by driver input or external damage. The sudden loss and return of steering control creates a dangerous condition that could result in a crash without warning. Given similar reported issues, this warrants investigation into a potential safety defect.Read more

While driving in the far left fast lane at approximately 70mph the vehicle suddenly began to show multiple malfunctions to include the following but not the complete list. Malfunctions noted High Voltage Malfunction, Chassis Malfunction, Suspension Malfunction, Driver Assist Malfunction. The vehicle then proceeded to slow down and I lost acceleration. Another alert showed regarding auto-braking.
... So with my wife and child in the car I had to cross four lanes of traffic to get to the shoulder. At the time I was not even sure if the signal lights were working as the vehicle began to shut down. This posed significant safety to myself, my wife and child and to all the other vehicles on the freeway as traffic was heavy which included several semi trucks. To have the vehicle slow on it own with no ability to accelerate to match speeds of vehicles coming behind and along side and no indication that any of my vehicle signal lights were still operable I repeat posed a significant safety risk to everyone in proximity. There was no warning or early indications that a failure was going to occur as it was immediate. This vehicle has had many alerts in the past that have cleared within minutes such as assistive driving and central locking malfunctions. When on the shoulder at the full stop the steering wheel was vibrating and continued to vibrate through to the next morning. When on the shoulder the Emergency Call button failed. The vehicle was towed 70 miles to a Audi dealership. The following morning the service representative observed the car in the same state where they were not able to start the vehicle on its own. The had to jump start to get the vehicle to the garage in order to do inspection. I was contacted on Monday and was told that the diagnostic showed no errors or malfunctions which in and of itself is alarming that no record of this was captured by the vehicle. I am the owner/lessee of a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB 250+ (VIN: [XXX] ) affected by NHTSA safety recall 26V073 — a high-voltage battery fire risk defect that has failed three separate repair attempts. ... as recall 25V050 then 25V894 and finally 26V073. Each prior software remedy failed to resolve the underlying battery defect. Mercedes-Benz has now determined a full battery replacement is required. As of today no replacement battery is available for my specific vehicle VIN [XXX] . Current Situation: As a result of this unresolved recall I have been required to: • Park my vehicle outside and away from structures at all times • Restrict charging to a maximum of 80% capacity • Operate a fire risk vehicle for several months with no remedy available • Absorb $3,000 in home EV charger installation costs now largely unusable due to charging restrictions • Continue paying $22,000 in remaining lease obligations on a vehicle I cannot safely use Federal Compliance Failure: Under 49 CFR 573 Mercedes-Benz USA is required to provide affected owners with a free remedy within a reasonable timeframe. Mercedes-Benz USA has: • Failed to provide a repair — no remedy currently available • Formally declined to repurchase the vehicle • Offered $8,000 in goodwill compensation which does not constitute a remedy under federal recall regulations • Instructed my dealer Crown Eurocars in Pinellas Park Florida not to provide a loaner vehicle or storage assistance despite promising both in a written offer dated April 20 2026 Additional Bad Faith: Mercedes-Benz USA communicated a false claim to MBFS executive resolution team member Caroline stating that I had requested no further contact. ... There were no symptoms of this issue before this event. This vehicle is available to be inspected any time. Lack of ABS is a very dangerous safety concern, as neither of my children have ever had to drive a vehicle without ABS. After some research, this seems to be a very common problem. After some age and heat cycles, the electronics in the module become weak, and my single use of the Stability control apparently is enough to push the weak electronics over the edge and destroy the module. This has been confirmed through several companies who repair these modules, such as [XXX] , who no longer repairs these modules, apparently because the computer chips are no longer made, and I have heard stories about the chip maker going out of business during covid. It was also confirmed by a local Jeep specialist, and the dealer parts department also tells the same story, people have been waiting on this module for over 2 years now. 4/6/2026 vehicle stalled in traffic multiple times, entered "Limp Mode", unable to accelerate after stopping or after deceleration. I had to press the gas to the floor to get the vehicle to move. While driving, if I had to brake or lay off the gas at all, the vehicle would not accelerate back to the original speed quickly. This put myself and my four children at risk of being rear-ended. I dro
... ve with the hazard lights on to Kia of Wesley Chapel Service center. The Battery Management System Warning displayed at the time of the stalling. The Kia Access App displayed the BMS Warning and code P0AA600 (High Voltage Isolation Fault). Initially, Kia of Wesley Chapel Service Advisor stated No warnings displayed and No historical or active codes found. I provided a screenshot of the Kia Access App showing the active BMS Warning and active P0AA600 code at 2:48PM on 4/8/2026. The Service Advisor maintained that they could not find any active or history codes. At 3:00PM the same day, the Kia Access App suddenly showed "No Issues Found". The code was obviously manually cleared. I filed a complaint with Kia Customer Care the same day (4/8/2026) and requested a Kia Technical Specialist be assigned to the case. On 4/12/2026, the original Kia Service Advisor stated "the history code has finally appeared which was the one presented in the screenshot but we cannot replace parts based off of a code that is no longer active unfortunately". He stated they would "keep driving and testing" to try and duplicate the issue. The Kia Access App shows the last trip was 4/7/2026 (the day after I dropped off the vehicle). Interestingly, the vehicle was not moved from the drive up lane at the Service Center until 10:40AM that day, after being dropped off at approximately 6PM the evening prior. I believe they could not get the car to move the evening of 4/6/2026. The vehicle remains at Kia of Wesley Chapel. I am sending the Motor Vehicle Defect Notification to Kia Corporate today.Read more

ICCU failed after 49,059 miles. Levels 1&2 charging do not work. I must use DCFC to charge the car.
Incident date: Jan 13, 2026
The vehicle’s ICCU unit stopped working out of the blue. This happened on a busy intersection and the car came to a sudden and violent halt. Luckily we were not involved in an accident. It’s a very well known issue with these vehicles and it’s really criminal that Kia has done nothing to fix it. They just change the ICCU unit and then it happens again.
