The manufacturer's mandatory 73B Safety Recall update (Vehicle Fires) creates a critical software-induced communication failure on the central vehicle network. Following the 73B flash, the vehicle developed an Active SGW U0001-00 CAN C Bus network fault, which permanently blocks data transmission and triggers an HCP U0412 hybrid battery fault. This network crash disables the hybrid propulsion syst
... ems, creating an unpredictable and hazardous driving condition. The manufacturer (Stellantis) and its authorized dealer (Seattle Jeep) are refusing to remedy this safety recall side effect under the vehicle's Hybrid Powertrain Warranty, instead forcing consumers to pay out-of-pocket diagnostic fees ($284.67) and multi-module software update fees ($812.50) to correct a defect injected by the recall software itself. This directly compromises vehicle safety and violates federal recall remedy mandates.Read more

I have open case with Subaru of America regarding this matter (Case Number: [XXX]). Despite multiple repairs, the root cause has not been resolved. I am concerned this is a safety issue as a malfunctioning TPMS system can fail to alert the driver to dangerous tire pressure conditions while driving. [Recurring No-Start Issue with Multiple Warning Alerts – Safety Concern] I am reporting a recurring vehicle issue involving failure to start, which I believe may pose a safety risk. The issue has occurred five times: August 11, 2023 April 12, 2025 June 13, 2025 December 12, 2025 April 1, 2026 During these incidents, the vehicle failed to start and displayed multiple warning messages on the dash

After the third occurrence, I brought the vehicle to an authorized service center. However, the issue was not resolved and has continued to occur. Recall 272 - ICCU Ioniq 6 : ICCU fuse and update were required. Dealership ONLY did update. Did not replace fuse. Vehicle was "updated" for Recall 272 on 2/19/2025. Jenkins Hyundai Service Mgr, Savannah, confirmed on 5/18/2026 that this information is correct. In March 2026, the power seating failed to operate. This is directly related to Recall 272. However, when the vehicle was taken in for ser
... vice, the dealership failed to diagnose and ONLY repaired pieces related to the seat. The vehicle was taken in on 3/18/2026 and stayed at the dealership for "repair" until 4/4/2026. This should have triggered the dealership to the Recall 272. On [XXX], within 1 hour of picking up the vehicle, all alarms went off indicating to stop driving the vehicle due to an electronic system error. DTCP1A9096. The vehicle was inoperable and had to be towed to the dealership. This should have triggered the dealership, again, to the Recall 272. On 4/22/2026, I was informed the vehicle was ready for pickup after replacement of the 12 volt battery. The issue was, again, directly related to the unrepaired recall 272. I was told that the 12 volt was not holding a charge. This should have triggered the dealership service, with the original issue, that it related back to the Recall 272. On [XXX] the power seats failed to operate. Again, related back to Recall 272. On May 9, 2026, the vehicle was taken to the dealership. On May 11, 2026 the dealership called to say that the fuse blew and was repaired. I refused to pick-up the vehicle siting extreme concerns for my safety given that the underlying issue has yet to be diagnosed. The vehicle remains that the dealership as of 5/20/206 without any further diagnostics completed. A claim with Hyundai USA was submitted on May 8, 2026. I own a 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum built in August 2024. The vehicle has been at the dealership for over 45 days for severe, unresolved electrical safety defects. I have attached photographic proof of the main defects. The first three photos show the driver's instrument display screen behind the steering wheel completely blacking out on startup, blinding critical safety gauges like the sp
... eedometer. The center screen stays on, but the main cluster is totally dead. Fourth and fifth photos show the driver's seat memory failure. I manually set my lumbar support to a comfortable 3-4-3 setting and save it, but every time the truck sits, the seat completely deflates to a flat zero default on startup. This causes an immediate driving distraction and ergonomic hazard. The factory navigation also randomly shouts driving directions out of nowhere without any driver input. The dealership is currently trying to install a temporary "bypass wire" hack on my factory harness just to see if it fixes the seat memory. However, Ford's internal hotline (SSSC) refuses to authorize repairs for the black screen or phantom navigation until a tech physically catches it glitching on command. Ford’s policy is to return the vehicle unrepaired if it does not fail during active observation. I am requesting NHTSA to investigate Ford's active evasion of safety recall 25V540 (Ford 25S88). The official recall paperwork states the defective supplier software entered production on May 14, 2024. My truck was manufactured in August 2024—squarely within the defective window—yet Ford is using a model-year loophole to exclude 2024 vehicles from the recall population. They are denying owners a permanent factory software remedy and forcing dealers to use unapproved, temporary physical workarounds. The vehicle is at the dealership and available for federal inspection if need be.Read more

Greensboro Transit Agency (GTA), operated by RATP Dev USA, is formally notifying you of an engine compartment fire involving one of our transit vehicles. Vehicle Information: •Fleet Number: 764 •Manufacturer: New Flyer •Vehicle Type: Heavy-Duty Transit Bus •Incident Date: [XXX] •Location: Greensboro, North Carolina Summary of Incident: While in revenue service, the operator reported hear
... ing an abnormal noise and observed white smoke coming from the rear engine compartment area. The operator safely evacuated passengers and emergency responders arrived quickly to suppress the fire. No injuries or fatalities occurred. A third-party fire investigation was conducted by Halsey King & Associates. Based on the preliminary findings, the fire is believed to have originated from a catastrophic failure of the Thermo King A/C compressor clutch bearing assembly. The bearing reportedly overheated, seized, and caused the compressor belt to ignite while still being driven by the engine. The investigation identified evidence consistent with: •A seized A/C compressor clutch bearing •Extreme heat generation within the clutch assembly •Belt ignition and progression of fire through engine compartment components At this time, our maintenance records do not indicate any previously documented defects associated with this specific Thermo King assembly prior to the incident. Our fleet currently has inspection and preventive maintenance procedures in place related to belt alignment, pulley alignment, belt tension, clutch air gap measurement, and related A/C system inspections. We are providing this notification for awareness, documentation, and any further review deemed appropriate. Please let us know if additional information, photographs, maintenance records, or investigative documentation are required. The car will not turn off, I’m unable to lock the doors and I’m concerned that the car is not in the park position thus and fearful, it can roll away. This has been

The engine will shut off completely while traveling a a normal rate of speed. The temperature gauge will malfunction and report high temperature (when there is none) and the engine will shut off. It cannot be restarted without putting the car in park and pressing the brake while in the midst of moving traffic. This has happened to me multiple times. At first, turning off the auto stop/start fe
... ature would prevent this form happening but turning it off no longer prevents this. This happens randomly and cannot be reproduced manually. It is also extremely dangerous and upsetting when this happens in highway traffic at speed. The Jeep also seems to have a parasitic drain on the battery and both batteries had to be replaced by the dealer. My research shows that there have been alt least 15 similar complaints filed.Read more

Our *2025* Hyundai Ioniq 5 experienced a complete failure of the ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit). The car displayed numerous warnings including "Check brake system", "Check 12V battery. Stop safely and engage parking brake", and "Check parking distance warning system". The car stopped working completely and would not turn on again. A towing company had to be called as the car was complet

The bike will not charge due to the Onboard Charge Controller being bad and refusing the communicate with a connected charger. The software recall which prevents sudden power loss cannot be performed due to the controller being bad (all an integrated unit), which is likely a symptom of the software which was the subject of a recall. Harley Davidson refuses to perform a goodwill repair and effectiv
... ely has a $6,000 paywall on our ability to get the recall addressed so we can operate our bikes. This bike only has 2,800 miles on it, and I am seeing others post multiple times weekly online that they are experiencing or have experienced this same problem at very low mileage. Not being able to charge the bike also forces the high voltage battery to sit at a low state of charge which can lead to damage. There are very limited service facilities and no ability to perform over-the-air updates which exacerbates these problems. These bikes, brand new, cost about $15,000. The cost of a replacement Onboard Charge Controller is $6,200, and a replacement RESS is over $9,000. Even the most sophisticated, luxury brand vehicle ECMs might cost 1/3 that amount- and this one just controls functions on a motorcycle. There are no warnings that the OBC is going to fail- it just happens and you can no longer charge the bike. The dealership told me the last person they had bring one in waited over a year for anything to happen with it and ended up needing both parts replaced with zero support from Harley Davidson- effectively having paid for the bike twice. Harley Davidson needs to cover the cost of replacement Onboard Charge Controllers and other issues stemming from their failure. It's completely unreasonable for customers to need a new powertrain in less than half the number of miles most cars go before needing their first oil change. The nature of these parts also makes them extremely difficult and dangerous for a private repair business to even try to fix the controller.Read more

My 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 6.6 gas with 59K miles has been experiencing the "shift to park" problem associated with this and other Chevrolet/GM vehicles. When putting the car in park, the column shifter moves the transmission from drive to park but when you shut off the vehicle the "Shift to Park" warning comes on and prevents the car from completely shutting down. Apparently, this is d
... ue to a defective microswitch inside the steering column that GM is well aware of. There are literally hundreds of thousands of us Chevrolet/GM owners experiencing this same problem and GM needs to acknowledge their problem and fix it as they are charging up to $700 to fix this defective part that they know is causing this issue. This has nothing to do with regular "wear and tear" on the vehicle. GM is well aware of this issue and needs to be held accountable and issue a recall to fix this problem.Read more

While driving the vehicle on a public roadway at approximately 70mph, the vehicle suffered a sudden and catastrophic powertrain failure without timely warning. The check engine light illuminated, the physical engine oil pressure gauge dropped to absolute zero, and the dashboard immediately flashed a critical "Hybrid System Malfunction" warning. > This mechanical and electrical failure triggered an
... instantaneous, total loss of motor power while traveling live lane with traffic behind me. The vehicle immediately stalled and became a completely inoperable, unresponsive rolling hazard. The vehicle failed to restart and left me stranded on a narrow shoulder which was very hazardous as traffic coming at high speeds could have easily rear ended me. The vehicle required a flatbed tow to an authorized Toyota dealership, and after submitting a case with corporate hoping for a trade assist(as my wife no longer feels safe in this chassis), I have been told it will take up to 45 days to process this request. I made a significant investment in this vehicle in January of 2023 and have since methodically kept up with maintenance, with hopes this vehicle would last me 10+ years. I find it highly inexcusable for Toyota to not consider speedily helping a loyal customer in this situation and making it right in a timely manner. I am now being offered a vehicle the same as mine of the current year and with me having to put over 22K in equity to close the gap. I should not be left on the hook for something that put my safety at risk and now has left me without the ability to travel as my family has lost their main method of transportation. Manufacturing defects should not come at the customers expense.Read more

Our Hyundai has a powertrain problem that is intermittent and random, and manifests itself in a couple of ways: 1) It drops out of gear while you are driving; there is no forward propulsion at all; the engine will rev when you press the gas, but no forward movement at all. You have to coast to a stop (or panic stop if the traffic allows), put it in reverse, drive backwards, then the transmission w
... ill “chunk” back into gear, then you can put it back in drive and continue forward again. This is life-threatening on a busy road or highway. Traffic has to flow around you like water around a rock in a stream while you try to use what’s left of your forward momentum to pull to the side of the road. Absolutely terrifying!!! The dash has also gone completely blank during some of these episodes. Nothing changes the situation: pressing “D”, shifting the paddles, nothing gets the vehicle back in gear. We have video taped these events twice, and provided those videos to our Hyundai Service Center, and to the Hyundai National Consumer Affairs team. They claim that they can’t reproduce it on demand, so they have done NOTHING. We are scared to drive the car. 2) As you start accelerating from a stop, the powertrain will miss the next gear. The engine revs, but you are not in gear, then it will catch a gear and continue to accelerate. These events happen often, but seemingly randomly. After several episodes last year, and no Service Center resolution, we reached out to the Hyundai National Consumer Affairs team, and have continued to be in contact with them, but they have not helped in any way to resolve this. They have assigned numerous Case numbers and Reps, and have emailed me over 20 times instructing me that I should go AGAIN to the Service Center, and then that they have no updates. We are terrified to drive this vehicle, and it is the only one we have. With these issues, we are in danger every time we leave home for our Dr. appointments and necessary trips.Read more
