My 2019 Ford F-150 (2.7L EcoBoost) is subject to Emission Recall 24E12, which addresses a defective PCM calibration that Ford acknowledges "could, over time, reduce the effectiveness of the emissions control system and the monitoring accuracy of the catalytic converter's efficiency." COMPONENT: Catalytic converter system and powertrain control module (PCM). Vehicle is available for inspection at R
... ich Ford in Albuquerque, NM, where it has been serviced for this issue. TIMELINE: Prior to the 24E12 recall repair, my truck had intermittent P0420/P0430 codes (catalyst efficiency below threshold). The check engine light would illuminate and then clear on its own. I brought the vehicle to Rich Ford for the 24E12 PCM reprogram. Within approximately one month of the recall repair, the same catalytic converter codes returned, except now the condition is constant and no longer clears. This timeline is documented in my FordPass app and the dealer's service records. SAFETY RISK: The constant check engine light prevents the vehicle from passing Bernalillo County emissions testing, which is required for registration in Albuquerque, NM. I am unable to legally register my vehicle due to a condition caused by a manufacturer-acknowledged defect. DEALER CONFIRMATION: Rich Ford diagnosed the recurring P0420/P0430 codes. They initially attempted to charge me $300+ for extended diagnostics. They are now consulting with Ford about whether a catalytic converter replacement will be covered under the recall. PRIOR SYMPTOMS: The intermittent check engine light with P0420/P0430 codes existed before the recall repair but was not constant. The recall repair worsened the condition from intermittent to persistent. PATTERN: Ford's recall documentation states the MIL "may illuminate even though a catalytic converter repair may not be necessary," yet numerous owners report being quoted $1,900-$2,100+ for cat replacement at their own expense after the 24E12 reprogram. Ford corporate confirmed the $300Read more

Here is your updated review with that included: ⸻ I am very disappointed with Hyundai Motor America and the service I received at Hyundai of Renton. The ignition was damaged during the theft, and I had to replace it myself just so I could drive the car. When I returned to the dealer, they refused to install the ignition cylinder protector, saying the ignition was broken. It was broken because of the theft — which happened due to Hyundai’s known defect. After the recall software update, my key fob also stopped working properly. I went back to the dealership, and they refused to fix or properly reprogram my key fob. On top of that, the service manager, John, was very rude and unprofessional. This has been the worst experience I’ve had with a vehicle and a dealership. Because of this situation. Very disappointed.Read more

The dealership later confirmed in writing that the harsh shift was duplicated and documented on the repair order. Despite prior service visits, the problem continues to occur intermittently. It has happened again after the most recent service. In addition to the shifting concern, the vehicle has previously experienced power-related issues and steering/driver-assist warnings. There are not always warning lights before the harsh shift occurs. The vehicle remains available for inspection. Because the shifting happens during normal acceleration at city speeds, it feels unpredictable and concerning from a safety standpoint.Read more

My 2022 Ioniq5 left me stranded late at night in a freezing rainstorm in March of 2024 when I was 75 miles from home at it failed to charge both D/C fast charging and A/C level 2 charging, despite my trying several different chargers. The car gave me the dreaded "Check E/V System" warning when it failed to charge. It turned out to be the notorious ICCU but also the AC inverter, which had to be r
... eplaced. It took 12 days. The dealership's initial diagnosis was something draining the 12-volt battery, so I asked if they also replaced that. They said no because it had tested fine, but 9 days after I picked up the car, it did not start because it turned out the 12-volt battery was dead, and my dealership spent 2 days getting Hyundai to approve replacement of the 12-vold under warranty. Last month, 17 January 2026, my Ioniq5 again left me stranded. This time 120 miles from home in a snowstorm. It D/C charged for 10 minutes before the charging stopped and it gave me the dreaded “Check E/V System” warning. I tried two nearby Tesla Superchargers with my Hyundai issued adapter, and they both failed. I had just enough charge to make it to a dealership 110 miles from my home, where the vehicle stayed for nearly a month while they diagnosed and repaired it by replacing the AC inverter (note that had been replaced the last time) and also the AC compressor. The ICCU failures are well-known and well-documented, but the AC inverters that failed on me twice do not seem to be as common and should probably be investigated. In both cases I was stranded on Saturdays when no dealership service departments were open until the following Monday, so I had to pay for a motel overnight, which Hyundai refused to reimburse because I was not at least 150 miles from home.Read more

After learning of the recall for the lift gate module because of water intrusions of multiple points. The wiring harness to the lift gate module was serverly corroded and had to be replaced. The original fix, without the corrosion on the harness, was the place a piece of plastic over the module. That recall and fix did nothing to address the issues of multiple points of water intrusions. From body
... seems, the seal around the hatch, and around the tail light(s). There is more than one harness, and more than one module in the tire well. The multiple water leaks, that can and have affected an electrical component the was deemed as being a potential to start a fire, and none of the others in there are. There needs to be a recall on the water leaks, from their poor design! I have saw first hand how badly the harness they HAD to replace, along with the lift gate module. Because of the very seriousness of the corrosion. Where they not only replaced both of them, but also had to relocate the lift gate module, because of the evidence of the amount on water that has been entering the cargo, and wheel well areas! À 11 year old vehicle, from the information I have read up on, many with this same production years are also having the issues of water intrusions! Hold them responsible, instead of letting them cut corners of just trying to put a umbrella over there recall! I don't have pictures now, or when I took it to the dealership originally for the recall. But I am willing to take pictures, as I'm still in the process of disassembly the interior to try and pin point all the water intrusions! The dealership I took it to for the recall work, said they are "not aware of any water intrusions on this vehicle". That's a big problem!!Read more

Q: What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? A: ICCU failed - Not available for inspection (at least at this time, but willing to try and make it work). Q: How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? A: The ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) is a safety-critical component subject to federal recalls 24V-204 and 24V-868. (
... My vehicle had all recalls performed prior to this failure.) The failure occurred while driving which was indicated by a “popping” sound. It is contextually important to note that the ICCU is responsible for charging the 12v battery, had the 12v battery failed during the duration of my drive I would have experienced a sudden loss of motive power. A sudden loss of motive power is an unacceptable risk to public safety. Q: Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? A: Yes, the problem has been reproduced and confirmed to be an ICCU failure by an official Hyundai service center. Q: Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? A: No. Q: Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? A: Symptoms first appeared February 14, 2026. The first symptom of failure was the signature “pop” sound that the ICCU failure is known for. Only after my drive and upon attempting L1/L2 charging did my dash warning indicate “Check Electric Vehicle System.” I also checked for codes with my OBDII scanner, and it showed no codes.Read more

After picking up the food I dropped the food off about 3 miles down the road to my family member at their work and drove the 3.3 miles back from my family members work to my home. I arrived at my home and was walking into the house around 12:30 pm my car was off and locked. During my drive the car perform
... ed completely fine, there was no codes, no noises, no smells, the car drove how i would describe as intended. But at around 12:45 my neighbors were banging and ringing my doorbell to tell me that my car was on fire. I proceeded to escort my aunt and my grandmother out of the home as i watched my car continue to smoke and watched the flames continue to rise. Once removed from the home i called 911 who took my information down and informed me that a similar call was received a new minutes before and that fire, police and EMS were on the way. I watched as the car completely engulfed in flames and the fire department worked to put the fire out. The car is completely lost and resulted in damages to my garage and my other car parked next to it. I know previous genesis models have had recalls for issues in the engine bay that could result in fires. I do not see a recall for my vehicle but given the unexplainable cause of the fire at this time, believe it may be beneficial to submit a report.Read more

Radio/Screen/Back-up camera do not turn on or turn off randomly and unexpectedly when driving. Usually receive a crackling sound and a MOST off network message before black screen. Upon initial start up of vehicle, a driver sets car to reverse relying and expecting a functional view of rear camera on screen. This issue makes backing up safety features unreliable.

On 3 separate occasions, while traveling at highway speeds on the NJ Garden State Parkway in the left lane, my truck’s service engine light soon wrench would come on out of nowhere, the throttle would cut out, and the gas pedal would go limp and unresponsive. The only way to get it operational again was to turn the truck off, let it sit for 10-15 min to drain the computers, and restart. Imagine
... doing 70-75 mph in the left most lane and you lose all throttle and have to get your vehicle all the way to the right shoulder without the ability to speed up to avoid being hit in the process. Now imagine that same thing happening 3 times within a month. The dealership found failed factory power train wiring and a failed gateway module. This truck’s a 2023 with 50k highway miles. Shouldn’t be failing like this. Now it’s been at the dealership for 3 weeks…..Read more

This recall is over a year old, based on science there is likely no software fix supported by the age of the recall. Since there clearly is no software fix, battery replacement should be mandated. This car is not able to be used as advertised, since it supported fast charging. I would need to rent another car for any trips over about 90 miles in one direction.

I am writing to formally submit a safety complaint regarding my 2018 Porsche Macan. I have experienced a significant issue with the vehicle’s headlights, which I believe poses a serious safety risk. Description of the Issue: The headlights on my 2018 Porsche Macan have failed without any prior warning or indication. There were no dashboard alerts or error messages to notify me of a problem. The
... failure occurred suddenly while driving at night, resulting in a complete loss of forward illumination. This created a hazardous situation, as I was unable to see the road ahead and other drivers were unable to see my vehicle clearly. Safety Concerns: The headlight failure happened unexpectedly and without any warning. This issue significantly increases the risk of a crash, especially when driving at night or in low-visibility conditions. Upon inspection, I was told the entire headlight assembly would need to be replaced, which is costly and concerning for a relatively new vehicle. Request for Investigation: I am aware that other owners of the 2018 Porsche Macan have reported similar headlight failures. I urge NHTSA to investigate this matter, as it appears to be a widespread and potentially dangerous defect. Reliable headlight operation is essential for safe driving, and sudden failure without warning is unacceptable. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please let me know if you require any additional information or documentation.Read more

When activating the right turn signal the windshield washers and wipers will turn on. Washers, wipers, and the turn signal all turn off when the turn signal is deactivated. This can cause some unexpected visibility issues while turning. Also, when turning the headlights from "Auto" to the "Off" position the windshield wipers will turn on. The wipers will stay on until you Switch back to "Auto". T

The vehicle continues to unlock itself. The dealer has been able to reproduce the problem. First repair. They said it was because of a recall to do with the door handles, even though the recall didn’t state any of that cause they were able to reproduce the vehicle unlocking itself after the recall so they did a software update once I took the vehicle home was able to reproduce, and the issue of
... it unlocking itself continued. I returned the vehicle to the same dealer and which they had the vehicle for an additional 26 days with another software update and then they had to call in to the tech line where they had to replace the control module that still didn’t fix the issue then had to replace a key then they released the vehicle back to me as they exhausted all their options and the issue is still present unable to drive the vehicle due to security concernsRead more

My 2020 Buick Encore GX is showing a message with accompanying ding ding sounds "Shift to Park" after I put my car in park. This malfunction will not allow the car to be locked. I see there are many complaints and lawsuits that GM has not attended to. How do we get GM to initiate a recall on something they are and were well aware of.

I was traveling out of state when the climate control panel on the vehicle stopped working. I was not able to control heat, defroster or air flow. Took to dealership. They verified it was the control panel, and the part was ordered but it's on backorder with no ETA when it may arrive and the vehicle repaired.

I was driving home from lunch with my wife. A "Check electrical system" alert came up, followed shortly by an urgent beeping with a "Stop vehicle and check power supply." We were able to pull into a parking lot. We called our insurance company for a tow, which showed up two hours later. They took it to the nearest Hyundai dealership. It took three days to diagnose the issue as an ICCU failure, w
