The vehicle's lower front fascia exhibits a design flaw, creating an unsafe gap that permits road debris to impact the condenser, leading to air conditioning system damage. This compromise in the A/C system's functionality results in an inability to adequately cool the vehicle's interior, thereby creating potentially unsafe operating conditions, particularly in high-temperature environments. It ha

Additionally, the seat belt chime reminders engaged even though the seat belts were securely fastened, and the tailgate had failed to open. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in TSB Number: T-SB-0019-21. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact requested a trade-in or buy-back assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 77,900.Read more

This new 2026 Vehicle faced multiple issues within a few weeks of purchase as stated below. 1. The instrument display panel or the main display screen of the car stopped working. The screen was completely blank and would not turn on. (confirmed and reproduced by Kia dealer, service order attached) 2. An electric short caused the radio to fail (confirmed and reproduced by Kia dealer, service order
... attached) 3. The car battery died, rendering the car completely unresponsive. The car had to be towed to the Kia Dealer. (confirmed and reproduced by Kia dealer, service order attached) All of the above 3 issues happened one after the other. The first issue essentially disabled safety features of the vehicle as the display panel that displays rear view camera, camera monitoring system (CMS), etc was not able to display any information. An eventual electric short and a dead battery rendered the vehicle inoperable. The official Kia dealer attempted to diagnose and repair the vehicle. The vehicle was at the dealer service for 15 days. The dealer initially suggested that a part needs to be replaced and is in backorder till May 2026. However subsequently the dealer then claimed that the vehicle is now operating normally and should be taken by the customer. No root cause of the electric short and battery and screen failure was disclosed. Also contrary to what is stated in the service order, the service manager at the dealer verbally suggested that they did not replace the malfunctioning component.Read more

Incident date: Feb 12, 2026
(FIX INFO BELOW) The Issue: The ignition intermittently fails to rotate to the "OFF" position, locking the key fob in the column despite the vehicle being in "Park." This is a known flaw in the Dart’s sensitive electrical/shifter interface that can lead to total battery drain and theft risk. <>Quick Fixes to Release the Fob<> I. The "Re-Park" Movement: Simply shifting gears is of
... ten not enough. Restart the engine, physically reverse the vehicle a short distance, then drive forward back into your space before shifting into park. The physical movement of the car is often required to reset the transmission sensor. II. The Twist: When you first park, try a quick, sharp twist to the "OFF" position immediately. Catching the system quickly sometimes prevents it from locking the fob. III. The Inward Firm Method: If already stuck, push the fob firmly inward toward the steering column (as if you are inserting your fob) while simultaneously twisting hard to the left. Repeat a few times before doing the re-park method to see if this will work for you first. Run/Acc>Off (be firm but if it doesn't work you're not trying to force/break it). <>Emergency Security<> If the tricks above do not work and you must leave your vehicle, you can still lock it and get back in. Make sure you apply your handbrake first just incase. - Physical Key Extraction: Locate the small release slide on the back of your key fob. You can slide the metal emergency key out even while the fob is stuck in the ignition. - Manual Locking: Use the door button, physical door locks or this metal key/a backup spare to manually lock the door/driver’s door from the in/outside. This prevents vehicle theft while the fob remains trapped. !!! Safety Conclusion!!! This issue highlights the volatile nature of the Dodge Dart's electrical system. While these workarounds are effective, the underlying sensor or shifter cable failure poses a recurring safety risk to owners.Read more

Safety risk: driver information/warnings become unreliable while the vehicle is in motion, which is distracting and may reduce awareness of speed/vehicle status. No crash, injury, or fire occurred. A dealer inspected the vehicle and reviewed the customer video. The dealer documented stored electrical/communication/configuration faults consistent with the concern, including ECU configuration mismatch, lost communication with the trailer interface module, and communication bus off faults. The dealer performed software updates to related modules and road tested ~34 miles; the concern did not reproduce during the test drive. The vehicle also has an open safety recall (NHTSA 26V-059 / FCA 03D) for the trailer tow module with remedy/parts pending. Description of the Problem: •Component/system that failed: The engine starter, which is subject to an open recall issued September 23, 2025. The starter was not replaced during a service visit. The vehicle no longer exists due to the fire, but the VIN and service records are available for inspection. •Safety risk: The starter malfunction caused the vehicle to catch fire while parked, creating
... a serious safety risk to myself, my child, and others nearby. •Problem reproduction/confirmation: The fire and defect were confirmed by BMW’s inspection as originating from the starter irregularity tied to the recall. •Inspections: The vehicle was inspected by BMW North America’s engineering team after the fire, and insurance representatives confirmed the total loss. •Warning signs prior to failure: There were no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms indicating the starter defect before the fire. Additional context: The vehicle was serviced at an authorized BMW dealership on December 3, 2025. I was not informed of the recall, and the starter was not replaced. The vehicle caught fire on December 19, 2025, resulting in a total loss. While my insurance resolved the ACV, this incident was caused by BMW’s recall-related defect and procedural failure. I have escalated this matter to BMW North America and am requesting a resolution that restores me to a comparable position (replacement vehicle or financial support). The rearview backup camera system malfunctioned. The camera was replaced under a safety recall on my 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe. Within four days of the recall repair, the camera continued to fail intermittently, displaying a blank/black screen and not providing a rearview image when the vehicle was placed in reverse. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. I also have video documentation
... clearly showing the malfunction occurring. The failure of the rearview camera puts me and others at risk because the system is required to provide visibility behind the vehicle when reversing. When the screen goes blank, I cannot see pedestrians, children, vehicles, or objects behind me. This creates a significant risk of a backing collision, especially in parking lots and residential areas. The vehicle was brought back to the dealership four days after the recall repair because the issue continued. The dealer stated they could not duplicate the issue at the time of inspection and are requesting a diagnostic fee to continue evaluation. However, I have video evidence clearly showing the malfunction occurring after the recall repair. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership that performed the recall repair. It has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. The manufacturer has not personally inspected it beyond the dealership performing the recall repair. There were no warning lamps. The issue presents intermittently when shifting into reverse, at which time the display screen fails to show the rearview camera image.
