Hello, I has problems driving my car like by brakes braking out of nowhere. There was even a couple times I felt like the car swerved, even though I did not do anything to the steering wheel. Then I found out I had a recall that said not to drive the car because it was dangerous so I parked it in my driveway and I have not driven it for many months as I’ve been getting rental cars. Eventually, I
... brought it into Antelope Valley Chevrolet and they told me they were going to fix it but then they actually told me that I had to pay around $1000 for a part that I found out later only cost under $100 and takes three minutes to put in. This is apart from Chevrolet and not some knock off from China that I found for under $100 online. So I’m a little upset that I came in for a recall and they’re trying to get me to do a repair for almost $2000. They never even offered me a rental car and they’re threatening me saying that if we don’t move forward with it, they’re gonna charge me $50 a day for storage. I feel like they’re intimidating me to try to make me traded in for a new one, but I am not ready to get a new one. I just want to get my car on the road again.Read more

On February 28, 2026, while preparing to leave our home with our two children in the vehicle, we experienced a critical vehicle malfunction. Upon attempting to start the car, all dashboard warning lights illuminated, including transmission error, “service needed,” and “automatic emergency braking system needs service.” The battery warning light was also on. The vehicle would not start init
... ially. After eventually starting the car, we temporarily placed it in neutral and pushed it out of the garage, during which the brakes functioned normally. The vehicle was briefly driven and appeared operational, but due to ongoing safety concerns and multiple recalls, we parked it at the top of our driveway. On the following day, the vehicle would not start again. We arranged for it to be towed to the dealership. On March 2, 2026, when the tow truck arrived, the car’s position prevented loading onto the truck. Multiple jump-start attempts failed initially, then briefly started the vehicle, but it immediately shut off again. We placed the vehicle in neutral using the manual override and tested the brakes, which initially showed stiffness but were operational. While attempting to move the vehicle to allow tow truck access, the brakes suddenly failed. Despite pressing the brake pedal fully and brake lights being illuminated, the vehicle did not stop and rolled uncontrollably into our garage. Consequences: •Garage property damage: approximately $11,000 •Personal injury: my father-in-law fell while the vehicle rolled out of control •Vehicle remains at dealership with an open case, but the situation remains unresolved Safety Concern: This incident raises serious safety concerns regarding the reliability of the braking system and vehicle electronics. The vehicle became uncontrollable while brakes were applied, posing a direct risk of injury or death to occupants and others. We fear that similar failures could occur under normal driving conditions, including highway speeds.Read more

My Tesla Model 3 was brought to Tesla Princeton Service Center on February 27, 2025 for a 12V battery replacement. During the service visit, Tesla also replaced the rear glass, citing the rear defroster as the root cause of the battery drain — a repair that was added without prior discussion and increased the total invoice from an original estimate of $180 to a final charge of $1,730. Upon picki
... ng up the vehicle, the rear backup camera, blind spot cameras, navigation system, Sentry Mode, and windshield wiper sensor were all non-functional. None of these systems showed any malfunction prior to the service visit. Tesla Princeton’s service advisor denied responsibility without performing diagnostics, and in a subsequent message admitted he could not determine the cause with certainty without diagnostics — which have still not been performed. The vehicle was discharged from a licensed Tesla Service Center in a condition non-compliant with FMVSS 111. I have escalated this matter to Tesla executive leadership in writing and am filing this NHTSA complaint to create a federal record of this safety violation.Read more

The vehicle experienced recurring electrical system failures beginning in December 2023. The vehicle intermittently would not start and on several occasions lost power unexpectedly. The vehicle was taken multiple times to an authorized Ford dealership for diagnosis while still under the manufacturer warranty. The dealership repeatedly reported that no issue could be identified despite the recurri
... ng electrical malfunction. The vehicle battery was replaced more than once within three years, however the underlying electrical issue persisted. In August 2025 the dealership instructed that the vehicle remain at the service center for extended diagnosis. The vehicle remained at the dealership for more than 40 consecutive days before being returned on October 8, 2025. Because the vehicle intermittently fails to start and has experienced electrical system malfunction, this creates a potential safety risk if the vehicle stalls or loses power while operating in traffic. Additionally, the vehicle currently has two outstanding manufacturer safety recalls that remain unresolved after nearly three years of ownership. This complaint is being submitted because the defect remains unresolved despite multiple repair attempts while the vehicle was under the manufacturer warranty.Read more

My 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has been in the shop at Tameron Jeep in Daphne, AL for 37 consecutive days. After having the recall on the hybrid battery software performed, an engine light came on. When I returned it to Tameron service department, I was told the diagnostic scan showed a fault in the hybrid battery due to the recall software update. It has remained at the service department for 37 days
... without remedy. The service department says they are waiting on Stellantis to advise them and that they feel like Stellantis "Star Connect" tech line is requiring their service tech to perform the same repeated tests again and again to avoid approving the hybrid battery replacement. I have called Jeep customer care, opened a case twice, escalated, requested area manager, etc., and currently there is no update, plan of action, or timeline for repair. The service department said even after the battery replacement is approved (it has not been yet), it would be more than 30 days to get the new battery. So in addition to the current 37 days in service, it could potentially be another 30-60 plus days. I have been unable to get any help, any plan, any updates from Stellantis. The service department has been very understanding but they can't do anything further without approval from Stellantis. I'm still making payments and insurance on the vehicle.Read more

Component Failure & Inspection: The rear windshield glass spontaneously imploded/shattered. This is a documented manufacturing defect involving the rear defroster grid, as detailed in Acura Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 22-014. The vehicle and the shattered glass are currently available for inspection. Safety Risk: The glass shattered while the vehicle was occupied, spraying shards of tempered
... glass into the cabin. This posed an immediate risk of laceration and eye injury to the occupants, as well as a significant distraction/startle hazard that could have resulted in a collision if the vehicle were in motion. Confirmation: The failure was inspected and confirmed by McGrath Acura of Westmont on February 27, 2026. The dealership acknowledged the existence of TSB 22-014 and the defect in the defroster grid but has not yet provided a full remedy. Manufacturer Inspection: The vehicle is an Acura Precision Certified unit. A formal case has been opened with Acura Client Relations (Case #16209033), and photos of the failure have been provided to them. Warning Symptoms: There were no warning lamps or symptoms prior to the failure. The glass imploded suddenly and without external impact while the vehicle was stationary.Read more

Vehicle: 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL (battery-electric SUV). At approximately 4,500 miles the vehicle began displaying battery/high-voltage system warnings and charging system errors. An earlier incident involved a critical battery warning instructing service. When presented to the dealership, the vehicle was initially described as potentially requiring extensive diagnostic disassembly. The deale
... rship later reversed that position and stated the issue could be addressed by repeatedly "cycling the ignition" approximately 30–40 times. No permanent repair or engineering explanation was provided. More recently, during an attempted charging session, the vehicle terminated charging due to a battery system error and displayed a red warning indicator requesting service. This prevented the vehicle from accepting charge and therefore prevented normal operation. In a battery-electric vehicle, the ability to charge is the functional equivalent of refueling. When the vehicle refuses charging due to system errors, the vehicle becomes effectively unusable and raises potential propulsion and safety concerns. When the vehicle was presented again for service, the dealership stated they had been instructed by the manufacturer not to perform service because the vehicle may be retrieved by the manufacturer. As a result, the vehicle continues to exhibit battery/charging system faults without a confirmed repair path. The issue involves the electrical system, propulsion system, and charging capability. The vehicle remains under very low mileage and the condition has not been corrected.Read more

In early September 2025, I leased a 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV. Unfortunately, the vehicle has already been in the dealership service department three separate times since I took delivery. The first two service visits occurred after the vehicle completely bricked and would not turn on. I was informed that the vehicle’s electronic module required updating and that the batteries had repeatedly
... died. Most recently, the situation has escalated to a significant safety concern. Earlier this week, the vehicle began shaking and intermittently accelerating and decelerating on its own while in operation(I have video proof of this) This behavior poses a serious danger to me and to others on the road. Due to these ongoing issues, I filed a formal complaint with Stellantis and was assigned case number [XXX]. I have been working with Stellantis representative Steve Stander; however, communication has been extremely difficult. Unfortunately, Mr. Stander has not been responsive to phone calls or emails in a timely manner, which has made resolving this matter challenging. At this time, the vehicle is once again in the shop, leaving me without transportation. During our last discussion, Mr. Stander acknowledged that Stellantis understands the vehicle is not dependable and offered $10,000 in down payment assistance along with employee pricing on a new Stellantis product. However, I currently still owe approximately $3,400 on the lease. Given the serious safety issues and repeated failures of the vehicle, I am requesting Stellantis’ assistance in grounding the lease and covering the remaining $3,400 balance so that I may exit this lease. I also previously sent Mr. Stander a video clearly showing the vehicle accelerating on its own to document the issue. I would greatly appreciate your help in resolving this matter as quickly as possible. It is urgent that I be able to safely exit this vehicle situation. RAM 3500 truck was purchased in Ventura, CA and has experienced multiple electrical and drivetrain failures beginning shortly after purchase. In January 2025 while traveling in Oregon, the infotainment system repeatedly blacked out and the cruise control button stopped functioning. A dealership replaced the cruise control button, restoring cruise control, but the infotainment problem remained. Whe
... n the vehicle was returned after the repair, a new defect appeared: the horn button no longer worked. Loss of the horn creates a safety risk because the driver cannot warn other vehicles or pedestrians. Around 20,000 miles during a routine service visit at the selling dealership in Ventura, we reported a driveline vibration. The dealership and the upfitter inspected the vehicle and observed tire cupping. They checked the tires for premature wear and recommended overinflating tires as a remedy. The vibration continued and worsened, the infotainment failures persisted. In October 2025 while driving in Wyoming, the vehicle experienced a major drivetrain failure involving the front differential and axle assembly and required towing. The truck was first towed to the Yeti dealership in Afton, Wyoming, which closed shortly after the vehicle arrived. The truck then had to be towed again to Yeti dealership in Jackson Hole. There, technicians diagnosed front differential and axle assembly as the primary failure and also observed premature wear on aftermarket shocks installed by the upfitter. Technicians indicated the differential assembly was not readily available and would require special order. The vehicle was later transferred to another dealership in Dodge City for repair, but the differential components were not immediately inspected or ordered, causing additional delay. The vehicle remains out of service awaiting drivetrain repair. Safety concerns include horn failure, repeated electrical malfunctions, and drivetrain failure while driving.Read more

I accessed the vehicle’s Service Mode and documented three fault codes that triggered simultaneously at 17:48:14 on March 4, 2026: 1.RSAM_a260_monitorTripDetected ∙Monitor trip detected, system degraded ∙Potential Impact: Steering system performance degraded, vehicle speed limited ∙Only clears on next power-up 2.RSA_a212_activeFault ∙Rear Steer Actuator (RSA) stopped at current position ∙Internal condition detected, defaulted to safe state ∙Fault Reason: CONTROLLER_IRRATIONAL ∙Previous State: RSASTATE_ACTIVE_STEERING (was actively steering when failure occurred) ∙rsamControllerRational = false 3.PEPS_a182_rearSteerDegraded ∙Primary Electric Power Steering (PEPS) detected RSA not functioning as expected ∙Reason: RSA_UNHEALTHY ∙rsaUnhealthy = true ∙rearSteerCommand = -0.59 All three faults were set at 17:48:14 and cleared at 17:50:55. Additionally, an earlier alert — EGGRIGHT3_a203_airwaveLeftLateralUnavailable — was logged on March 2, 2026 at 21:11:08, which may indicate a related or recurring issue. The simultaneous failure of the rear steering actuator and disengagement of FSD while driving at speed represents a serious safety hazard. The RSA controller was flagged as “IRRATIONAL” while the system was in active steering mode, meaning the steering hardware failed during operation — not at startup or in a parked state. I have photographic documentation of both the dashboard steering ERROR warning and all Service Mode diagnostic screens showinRead more

Two incidents of rodent eating the wires of the car in a span of two weeks that cause a lot of money to repair. Dealership did mention that wires have soy based insulation which was the cause. Newer Toyota Cars have the same problem which a coworker of mine had last year and my brother as of this date have the same problem.

The component that is seeming to fail in most KIA EV6's is the ICCU assembly. This is the component that failed in my KIA EV6 GT. Part# 364-1XFA0AQQK Also the ICCU Fuse, Part#375F2-GI040QQK FUSE-HIGH VOLTAGE. My safety and everyone around me was put at risk when the vehicle loss power due to this ICCU failure. As I entered the highway the vehicle starts loosing power. The vehicle gradually l
... ost power more and more over time. I was able to make it to an exit driving at approximately 20-30 mph, and was able to drive it back to my house where it was then towed to a dealership. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer. I have the invoice to prove the repair of the ICCU. Yes there were warning messages on the screen when the ICCU failed. First, there was an audible "POP" which was the fuse blowing first. Once the fuse blows, it slowly kills the 12v battery and the car then looses power and you're no longer able to drive the vehicle. At that point, the ICCU is blown. The error message showing on the screen was: "CHECK ELECTRIC VEHICLE SYSTEM". Then the display starts blinking red and displays "STOP VEHICLE AND CHECK POWER SUPPLY". I have all the screenshots of the error messages the vehicle displays. The text message that is attached to this complaint is the service tech informing me that the 12v battery that they charged me $366.66 for, DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. Yet they still charged me for the battery. This dealerships service department had my car from January 21, 2026 to March 4, 2026. A total of 42 days. At the time of the text message, it had already been past one month. I would like to be reimbursed for this cost.Read more

I am reporting a water intrusion issue involving the rear hatch area of my 2018 Volkswagen Golf GTI Autobahn. Water leaks into the vehicle through the hatch wiring boot area and travels into the interior of the car, causing the headliner to become saturated with water. During periods of rain or after washing the vehicle, water enters near the rubber hatch wiring boots and leaks into the interior
... roof area. The vehicle has two rubber hatch boots (left and right) that route wiring harnesses from the body to the liftgate. These harnesses carry wiring for several rear hatch components including the backup camera, center high-mount brake light, rear wiper motor, hatch release switch, rear defroster, license plate lights, and other electrical systems located in the liftgate. Water intrusion in this area can allow moisture to travel along the wiring harnesses and into the vehicle interior, resulting in a soaked headliner and moisture accumulation inside the cabin. Because these wiring boots contain electrical harnesses for important components such as the center brake light and backup camera, continued water exposure could potentially lead to electrical faults, corrosion, or failure of these systems. The vehicle has approximately 23,000 miles. The leak occurs during normal weather conditions such as rain. Numerous owners of similar Volkswagen Golf and GTI/R vehicles have reported similar rear hatch water intrusion issues. I have been scared to drive the car in the rain and wash my car after the incident. The hatch boots have been replaced twice per side and are still causing issues. I request that this issue be investigated as a potential design or sealing defect allowing water to enter the passenger compartment and electrical harness areas.Read more

My 2018 BMW 530e suddenly shut down while I was driving. I charged it overnight, but the next day it showed a check‑engine light and a drivetrain failure warning. I tried driving it again, and it drove for some distance and shutdown after few minutes. Luckily, i was able to park the car on the side of the road. I brought(towed) it to a mechanic, and he told me the issue was a CCU failure, which
