The engine failed on a 2015 Hyundai Elantra with approximately 71,000 miles. The vehicle has an open, unresolved safety recall (Recall 251, NHTSA #23V651000) for an ABS module brake fluid leak that Hyundai has acknowledged but has not provided a remedy for. The vehicle is currently at an independent repair facility and is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle repeatedly shut off witho
... ut warning while in motion and restarted mid-drive, causing sudden loss of power steering and power brakes while driving. This occurred on multiple occasions and was documented by an independent service center in February 2026. This presents a serious risk of accident, injury, or death to the driver and others on the road. The check engine light was illuminated. The vehicle experienced recurring brake issues requiring multiple repairs over several years, including brake replacement before 2026 and rear rotor, brake pad, and brake line repairs in February 2026. These brake symptoms are consistent with the known ABS module defect covered under open Recall 251. The engine shutoff symptom was first documented in February 2026 and continued until engine failure in May 2026.Read more

The primary failure is in the electronic transmission control system and engine wiring harness assembly, specifically throwing diagnostic trouble codes P0700 (Transmission Control System Malfunction) and P0717 (Input Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal). The authorized dealership identified a critical issue with the engine harness chafing, but their subsequent repair attempts have failed to resolve the
... recurring powertrain failure. The complete vehicle and all affected components are currently parked and fully available for immediate physical inspection at my residence upon request. While operating the vehicle at highway speeds, the powertrain abruptly loses throttle response and forces itself into a severe, uncommanded "Reduced Power / Limp Mode." This creates a severe safety hazard by instantly dropping vehicle velocity on active interstates and high-speed roadways, leaving the vehicle unable to accelerate out of harms way or merge safely, placing myself, my passengers, and surrounding motorists at immediate risk of a high-speed rear-end collision. The malfunction has been repeatedly confirmed and documented by authorized GM service agent Rountree Moore Chevrolet (Lake City, FL) across three separate service visits. The dealer confirmed the active trouble codes and attempted various repairs (including Transmission Control Module reprogramming on 04/24/2026, engine harness chafing repairs on 05/19/2026, and auxiliary fluid/battery adjustments on 05/21/2026). The persistence of the failure confirms the dealer has been unable to successfully remedy the defect. To date, the vehicle has only been inspected and worked on by the authorized dealership's factory-trained technicians. It has not yet been involved in a collision requiring police or insurance representative inspections, nor has a corporate field engineer from General Motors inspected it outside of the local dealership level. The failures are consistently preceded by an illumination of the dashboard Check EngineRead more

FIRE HAZARD — UNDERSIZED DC CABLE WITH UNDOCUMENTED SPLICE INSIDE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT The 2026 Midwest Automotive Designs Luxe Cruiser D6 (VIN [XXX] , Unit #[XXX]) contains an undersized negative DC cable carrying 304 amperes continuous through a conductor rated for 195 amperes (2/0 AWG copper), representing 156% of rated capacity under NEC ampacity tables. Motor-starting surge loads can exce
... ed 400 amperes (205% of rated capacity). This cable is the primary DC negative path between a 1,080Ah lithium-iron-phosphate battery bank and a Xantrex Freedom XC PRO 3000 inverter-charger. The hazard compounds at the floor penetration inside the coach passenger compartment: the cable transitions from properly-sized 4/0 AWG to undersized 2/0 AWG at a bolted lug splice wrapped in white electrical tape. This splice is located inside the vehicle where my family rides. It is not documented in any build record, inspection report, or repair order. Photographic evidence ([XXX]) reveals that both copper lug faces at this splice bear red X markings. These markings are not consistent with any recognized torque witness marking practice (which requires a stripe crossing from bolt head to mating surface). The marks represent either (a) failed-inspection flags placed by someone who identified the connections as defective and left them uncorrected, or (b) non-functional markings. Either interpretation establishes that someone examined these lugs, marked them, and walked away. The Xantrex Freedom XC PRO Owner’s Guide (Rev G, Table 5) specifies minimum 4/0 AWG for cable runs of the installed length and classifies improper wiring under its highest safety designation (DANGER) as capable of causing “death or serious injury.” The Guide further includes a FIRE WARNING for DC connections that are not torqued to 71–89 in-lb. No torque documentation exists at any service touchpoint. Component or system that failed: The GPS navigation system and cellular connectivity module in my 2024 Tesla Model Y (VIN: [XXX] ) have intermittently lost signal and become completely nonfunctional multiple times over the past month. Tesla's service documentation indicates this affects the vehicle's connectivity hardware or managing software. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.
... Safety risk: Loss of GPS navigation while driving creates a safety hazard when traveling unfamiliar routes, in low-visibility conditions, or during emergencies. Loss of cellular connectivity simultaneously disables Tesla's roadside assistance and the vehicle's calling capability. The vehicle acknowledges this risk by displaying a yellow caution alert reading "Poor GPS location accuracy — Additional attention may be required" on the primary touchscreen while in motion, with no advance warning before the failure occurs. Reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center: Yes. On May 22, 2026, Tesla Service Columbia-Two Notch Rd, 6301 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29223, confirmed this as a known issue. The service advisor stated Tesla is aware of the defect but has no repair available and instructed me to submit in-car bug reports each time it occurs. Inspected by manufacturer or others: Yes, by Tesla's service center on May 22, 2026. No independent, police, or insurance inspection has been performed. Warning lamps or prior symptoms: A yellow triangle caution icon with the message "Poor GPS location accuracy — Additional attention may be required" appears on the primary touchscreen during each failure, but only after GPS has already degraded — no advance warning is given. This has occurred four times since April 2026, with each event lasting between 15 seconds and over one minute. UNKNOWN as to specific trigger conditions. Photographic documentation has been retained. I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2022 GMC Terrain after experiencing a sudden infotainment system failure that also disabled my backup camera functionality. The infotainment screen in my vehicle suddenly went completely black without warning and without any physical damage to the vehicle. The screen failure caused the backup camera to stop functioning as well, creating a significant sa
... fety concern while reversing and parking. The vehicle currently has approximately 50,000 miles. When I contacted the GMC dealership regarding the issue, I was informed that this is a common problem with GMC Terrains. However, because my factory warranty expired only weeks before the failure occurred, GMC declined to provide any financial assistance or goodwill repair coverage despite acknowledging the issue is commonly seen. This defect directly impacts federally required rear visibility safety equipment and creates unnecessary risk to drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and surrounding vehicles. Backup cameras are an essential safety feature, and the sudden failure of the infotainment system removes access to that safety function entirely. I believe this may be a widespread defect involving the infotainment and electrical systems in the 2022 GMC Terrain and request that NHTSA investigate this issue further for potential recall or manufacturer accountability.Read more

2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid experienced a serious charging system failure during routine overnight charging using a standard Level 2 home charger that had previously worked without issue. In the morning, the charging connector was physically trapped in the vehicle charge port and could not be removed despite repeated normal troubleshooting attempts, including repeated unlock cycles, charger powe
... r cycling, breaker reset, and reseating attempts. Because the Pacifica Hybrid disables operation while a charging connector is detected, the vehicle became completely undrivable and required towing. Multiple AAA tow operators were unable to move the vehicle normally. We ultimately had to personally research and guide the tow operators through the manual neutral override procedure in order to get the vehicle into neutral and onto the tow truck. The dealership has suggested that the connector may have fused or arced together during charging and is attempting to characterize the situation as “not the vehicle’s fault.” Regardless of the precise electrical mechanism, this event occurred during ordinary intended use of the vehicle’s charging system. The end result was that the vehicle trapped the connector, immobilized itself, and stranded the owner without any meaningful owner-accessible recovery method. This is not ordinary wear and tear or a cosmetic inconvenience. This was a charging-system immobilization event involving a vehicle platform that already has a documented history of charging-system recalls and software-related charging concerns. The vehicle was being used exactly as intended. No misuse, modification, or improper operation occurred. A vehicle shouldn't become completely inoperable during routine charging. I am requesting review of this matter as a significant charging-system failure and requesting goodwill assistance regarding the substantial diagnostic and repair costs now being imposed on the customer for an event that occurred during normal operation.Read more

I am submitting this updated complaint regarding ongoing issues with Safety Recall 69PZ (Passenger Occupant Detection System) on my 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. Despite multiple repair attempts at Gossett Volkswagen in Memphis, TN, the recall remains incomplete, and the vehicle now exhibits additional safety‑system failures that began immediately after dealership service. I purchased the

The second attempt occurred on April 29, 2026, when the dealership picked up and returned my vehicle; this visit is confirmed by home security footage and text messages, but no repair order was issued. A third attempt on May 4, 2026 was also unsuccessful. On May 8, 2026, the dealership produced a repair order stating “SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED RECALL,” but later acknowledged in writing that the recall was not complete. On May 18, 2026, another repair order inaccurately stated that I “declined” the recall. Immediately after the [XXX] visit, my vehicle displayed new safety‑system errors, including Drivetrain Error, Emergency Assist Error, and Front Assist Error. These issues were not present before the visit and were documented on video. On May 20, 2026, during a recorded call, the Service Manager stated that the dealership would not schedule, diagnose, or repair any issues on my vehicle unless I authorized the recall repair, even though the new defects are unrelated to the recall and should be covered under warranty. He also stated the dealership is a “private company” and can refuse service. As a [XXX] who relies on custom hand controls, these unresolved safety issues and the dealership’s refusal to perform warranty repairs have left me with an unsafe and unreliable vehicle. Toyota made a defective coolant valve in their 2019-2021 cars that leaked spontaneously in these vehicles. Over 950,000 cars have been affected to date, including my 2020 Rav4. They are aware of the issue and made a customer support program for this issue which led to engines overheating/electrical code problems, which can cause a severe safety issue if left unrepaired. The program however has a l
... imitation until November 2025 or 100,000 miles whichever comes first. When I was alerted of this, I brought my car to the dealer for service, but they wouldn't replace the part because it wasn't leaking too much at the time to need repair. However, just 4 months after the primary coverage expired, my engine code went off and when I brought my car, the coolant valve turned out to be defective and leaked into the electrical wire harness which then also had to be replaced in addition to the coolant valve. The repair cost was $1200 and both were required to keep the car driving safely and reliably on the road. Because my car had 120,000 miles and the known issue presented after Nov2025, Toyota refuses to cover the service, although it is a known manufacturing defect. Toyota is committing fraud to avoid covering this safety issue. The repair is expensive and if left unrepaired, the cars can spontaneously catch on fire on highways and in parks leading to wild fires and endanger others on the road. The toyota technician specifically informed me the issue was similar to other cars and known and the defect led to the destruction of the wire harness. To avoid a safety recall, Toyota reached a private settlement against class action lawsuit and created a limited CSP to avoid covering the defect in cars like mine to maintain their reliability status in consumer reports so cars like mine with little higher mileage won't be reported. It is fraud. I believe they are skipping on consumer repair bills that consumers on entitled to for their manufacturing defect.Read more

During operation of my 2015 Ford Edge Titanium, the vehicle experienced intermittent loss of acceleration and multiple electronic warning messages. While driving, pressing the accelerator pedal would sometimes result in little or no vehicle acceleration. The RPMs fluctuated abnormally and the vehicle appeared to enter a reduced-power condition. Warning messages included “Hill Start Assist Unavai
... lable” and traction/anti-skid related warnings. Cruise control also became inoperable. The issue created a safety risk because the vehicle would not reliably accelerate during normal driving conditions, including while attempting to maintain speed in traffic. This created concern about merging, crossing intersections, or safely responding to traffic conditions. Additional symptoms included rear lights remaining illuminated unexpectedly and electronic brake-related behavior that appeared abnormal. An independent auto parts diagnostic scan identified low-voltage history codes and a brake switch/brake signal issue. The vehicle battery tested good at the time of inspection. The transmission reportedly showed no faults during the initial scan. The brake switch issue was temporarily adjusted to allow the vehicle to be driven to a repair facility, but the underlying issue has not yet been permanently repaired. The problem has been reproduced during multiple driving events and was observed by an independent service provider. The dealership later advised that no recall currently applies to the vehicle VIN for this condition. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Prior to the failure, warning lamps and messages appeared intermittently, including traction control, anti-skid, and “Hill Start Assist Unavailable” notifications. These symptoms began before the major acceleration issue occurred and became more frequent over time.Read more

The vehicle experienced a sudden, catastrophic brake-by-wire system failure while operating in one-pedal driving (Regeneration Boost mode). While decelerating at a low speed behind an 18-wheeler semi-truck, the vehicle failed to continue slowing down. I immediately depressed the physical brake pedal, but the vehicle completely ignored the foot pressure. The pedal and braking system became complete
... ly unresponsive, and the vehicle kept rolling forward uncommanded. Despite keeping the brake pedal fully depressed, the vehicle did not decelerate, resulting in a front-end low-speed collision with the metal rear bumper of the semi-truck. Because the collision occurred at a very low speed, the operator of the commercial truck was unaware of the impact and safely continued driving forward without stopping. The vehicle's brakes entirely refused to re-engage until I frantically pumped the physical brake pedal and cycled/pressed vehicle control power switches. This action seemingly forced the electronic braking modules to reboot or re-establish hydraulic pressure, allowing the vehicle to finally come to a stop. The vehicle was subsequently removed from the active roadway. This is a severe, life-threatening safety defect involving a total loss of electronic brake-by-wire and friction braking application without any mechanical override intervention, presenting an extreme hazard. The vehicle has been towed directly to an authorized Toyota dealership for a comprehensive electronic diagnostic pre-scan of the Skid Control ECU, Electronic Parking Brake system, and 12-volt auxiliary power systems to retrieve the stored DTC fault logs and freeze-frame data.Read more

The rear camera frequently does not work when the vehicle is put into reverse. This creates a major safety concern and makes it difficult for me, especially as an older driver, to safely back out of parking spaces and avoid hitting someone or something. The rear camera is an important safety feature that I rely on daily. I am requesting that the vehicle be properly repaired, or bought back if the

A vehicle was sold and delivered while under an active stop‑sale safety recall (manufacturer recall 26TB03). The recall was not disclosed at the time of purchase. When questions were raised about whether any recalls were present, the issue was dismissed and no recall information was provided. According to the recall documentation, the potential defect involves the rear door system possibly openi
... ng while the vehicle is in motion. Because the stop‑sale indicates the vehicle should not have been sold, the safety risk is that the vehicle was driven with occupants in the rear seats without anyone being informed of the potential hazard. This created a risk to the people inside the vehicle and to others on the road. The problem was later confirmed through the manufacturer’s official recall database and the published recall information. The issue has not been inspected or repaired by the manufacturer or dealer because the remedy is not yet available. The defect is not something the owner can see or detect on their own.Read more

While driving on the highway in my 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan (approximately 70,068 miles), the EPC warning light and oil warning light illuminated and the vehicle began to stall/lose power. I exited the highway immediately and shut the vehicle down safely. A substantial amount of engine oil leaked from underneath the vehicle after stopping. The vehicle was towed to a Volkswagen dealership. Dealer d
... iagnosis included: * cracked oil pan, * oil separator failure, * and timing chain cover leak. The dealership advised there was no metal contamination found in the oil or filter and no confirmed catastrophic internal engine failure at this time, though the long-term condition of the engine cannot be guaranteed after the oil-loss event. I am submitting this report because the sudden oil-loss event and stalling condition occurred while driving on the highway and created a potential safety hazard.Read more

I started my Jeep in my driveway and a warning quickly flashed onto the center screen just before the Check Engine Light illuminated. I attempted to test drive it. The vehicle started cutting out before the engine started racing. I was able to stop at the end of my street. I made a U-Turn to return to my home and the Jeep started bucking and jerking wildly as I was attempting to stop in front of m
... y house. It was at that time it stopped running and locked itself in PARK. I called a tow to the dealer. The tow driver was also unable to move the vehicle as it was still locked in PARK. He was able to drag it onto the flatbed. Upon inspection at the dealer, they stated that the hybrid battery had failed and needs to be replaced. This was a dangerous enough situation but had this of happened in traffic or worse yet on the highway, it would have made for a much more dangerous situation where someone could have been killed. This is not the first time I've had drivability and loss of motive power issues with this vehicle. The last time a few months ago I brought it to the dealer's attention and explained the problem and the danger. The dealer advised me that the software after the 68C Recall will reduce power to protect the hybrid battery. It seems that Jeep is trying to save money rather than do the right thing and buy back these dangerous vehicles. Jeep customer service basically told me that it's my problem. I just want the Jeep fixed or bought back. It is not a safe vehicle to drive without fear of being smashed into from the rear. The Jeep is currently at the dealer waiting for a replacement hybrid battery. It is my understanding that the replacement battery will be the exact same as the defective one and runs the same chance of being defective and dangerous. How is this even allowed to happen?Read more

Vehicle is very hard to steer, will not reset when restarting the vehicle. two dash messages; advance track warning and power assist failure. I have not attempted to drive on road due to difficulty of steering the wheel. I am afraid the vehicle is uncontrollable at this point and needs to be towed to a repair facility. Not sure if this incident is linked to the recall under 14S06 for ford recalls.
