* Sudden shutdown while driving * Dash failure * “Vehicle not in park” message * RF hub failure * Recall references While driving at highway speeds and without warning the entire dashboard shut off and the vehicle lost power. The message “Vehicle Not in Park” appeared. My son was forced to coast off the highway to safety. Once the vehicle stopped, it shifted itself into park. The truck res
... tarted briefly but failed again shortly after. Luckily this time he was able to drift into a nearby gas station. At that point the vehicle had no dashboard lights, no ignition response, and no electrical power to the drivetrain, though interior lights still worked. Vehicle would not start and needed to be towed to the dealership where is sat for 12 days before they replaced a water damaged RF hub. There was no cracks or leaks located but there was water damage. Weather conditions: Sunny and dry, temperatures in the mid-50s. This failure created a dangerous situation. While driving at highway speed. This incident placed my sons life and the lives of others on the road in danger. Since this frightening event, we have conducted extensive research and discovered that this appears to be a well-documented issue affecting Dodge Ram trucks, specifically involving moisture entering the cab and damaging the RF hub, which can cause electrical failures and loss of drive power. The dash shutting off and truck losing power while driving — is a major safety issue. Situations like this are known to fall under sudden loss of power / drive power investigations by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). I' am requesting a formal investigation into the moisture intrusion issue affecting Ram trucks, consideration for a recall or technical service bulletin addressing this defect and invoice reimbursement.Read more

Glendale Dodge (CA) is actively using Federal Fire Risk Recall 68C to fraudulently conceal a separate, critical High-Voltage hardware failure on my 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. Upon intake, my vehicle’s internal VIP diagnostic scan showed an active P0E15 code (Electric Coolant Heater Failure). Per Stellantis Technical Service Bulletins, this code indicates a severe failure requiring a physical hardwa
... re replacement to ensure the high-voltage system operates safely. To avoid performing this costly warranty repair, the dealership deliberately falsified the diagnosis on Final Invoice #31349. Under Line C (Customer States Check Engine Light is On), the dealership officially recorded the cause and correction as: 'DUE TO RECALL MODULE UPDATES AND BAD BATTERY.' This is an affirmatively false written diagnosis. A dead 12V battery and a recall software update do not cause, nor do they resolve, a P0E15 High-Voltage Electric Coolant Heater failure. The dealership lied on the legal invoice to scrub the hardware defect from the record. They then applied the 68C software patch as a smokescreen, falsified the 'Date Out' to 12/26/2025 to prematurely close the federal recall ticket, and attempted to return a vehicle that remains mechanically compromised and unsafe. This is intentional warranty fraud masking a high-voltage system failure. Stellantis and its authorized repair facility are refusing to properly remedy the vehicle. The vehicle is currently held at the dealership pending an active fraud investigation by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (Case #6596-WS4PV6).Read more

The touchscreen is not reposnive to touch except in one tiny corner. We’re reported this at thw Hyundai dealership at least three times over the years- they said “they can’t see a problem”, which is odd because the screen literally does not respond to touch. When it’s hot, even with the AC on full blast, sometimes we will be driving and the touchscreen starts making beeps and starts goin
... g into the settings menu all on its own without being touched, and starts randomly changing settings. Or, we will connect a phone with google maps, and the screen will randomly change to something else or a different view. This is a dangerous distraction, and Hyundai has refused to acknowledge this problem. The screen is unusable, we are forced to use our phones to use navigation directions just to be safe in our own car. This has been an issue starting in 2023 and to this day has been persistent. We have done both hard and soft resets to ni avail. We have also reported, on going to the dealership, that the screen says to update- they have never provided any update or instructions on how to update, even though every time we go to the hyundai maintenance we are there for at least two hours or more.Read more

My Toyota hybrid AWD vehicle experienced corrosion of the rear traction motor cable, which Toyota has acknowledged in Service Campaign 25TD01. This corrosion affects the electrical connection to the rear drive motor and can result in loss of AWD propulsion capability. Loss of rear-wheel propulsion significantly reduces traction and stability, particularly in snow, ice, and wet conditions. Drivers
... may believe the vehicle still has AWD capability when in fact the rear drive system is compromised. In addition, the vehicle’s adaptive cruise control system repeatedly turned off unexpectedly while driving and displayed “unavailable” warnings. These malfunctions occurred alongside the electrical issues related to the rear traction motor cable corrosion, suggesting the defect may affect multiple vehicle systems. Toyota has acknowledged this defect through Service Campaign 25TD01 but has not issued a safety recall. Given the potential for loss of propulsion and malfunction of driver-assistance systems, this issue should be investigated as a safety defect.Read more

While driving on the highway at 65 miles per hour, my Atlas shut itself off. I had to put it into park and restart the ignition. It turned on after 2 attempts but just barely. It turned on and gave enough power to move forward very slowly but virtually no propulsion. It turned on briefly, I pressed the gas and then it shut off but had enough to cruise to get to the shoulder across the highway. T
... here was no shoulder next to the lane I was in. Luckily the cars around me saw that I put my hazzard lights on immediately and did the same. Once at the shoulder, tho the system had shut down again... the Atlas suddenly engaged and sped up on its own. The control panel of the car was "resetting" itself still from the initial shutdown. The system appeared to reboot itself after putting into park and pushing the ignition button. And was still "processing" while I attempted to get it to the side of the road while it shutdown again. Once it was "rebooted" that's when the system appeared to "catch" and the car "sped up" by itself. Once all that happened, probably in the span of 5 minutes or so, I was able to drive 15 miles away safely to a gas station, turned off the car, got gas and it re-started like nothing had happened and drive fine home, about 2 miles further. The instrument panel including map and "driving screen" has shut down before while driving a few times, but never anything with the engine. While stopped at a light a few times, the car has previously "shut itself off" and restarted fine after being put into park and restarting ignition. This is by far the worst and most dangerous experience I've had that could have resulted in a fatal collision, had the cars around me not also been paying close attention and helped me out by slowing behind me and creating awareness for others approaching at 65-75 MPH as well.Read more

See attached document for complaint. Sir: You are aware that this vehicle has two active Recall Notices attached to it; either of which can result in a vehicle fire, sudden loss of power, and loss of life or injury. Which means that I own an expensive vehicle which cannot be safely driven. Nor can it be traded in for another vehicle in its current condition. The manufacturer does not have an avai
... lable fix for 25V-766 (engine contaminated with sand during manufacturing process); and since this defect can (in their own words) " ... lead to a catastrophic engine failure ... " it is unsafe to drive this vehicle at any speed. The other recall involves defects with the battery pack, which can lead to vehicle fire. There is no available fix for this defect either. My dealer has already attempted unsatisfactorily to correct multiple problems with the hybrid power system unrelated to the recall. Is the NHTSA planning to do anything to assist the thousands of people who own hybrid Jeep Wranglers affected by these defective systems? It would seem to me that the manufacturer should be mandated to repurchase these dangerous vehicles from the owners at market value or to provide a replacement vehicle of equal or greater value. The American drivers who own these dangerous vehicles should not continue to be put at risk any longer.Read more

I am writing to formally document my experience with the service performed at Nissan Heights following a recall repair on my vehicle. My vehicle was brought to Nissan Heights on Monday, March 2, for recall service related to NHTSA Recall #22V-024 (Nissan Recall #R21B9) involving the wiring harness. I dropped off the vehicle early that morning with the expectation that the recall work would be comp
... leted properly and that the vehicle would be returned in good working condition. After the recall inspection and service process, I was informed that additional components needed to be replaced the Engine Control Module (ECM), and the Body Control Module (BCM). The cost of replacing these components was several thousand dollars. Based on the nature of the recall and the research I conducted regarding this issue, these failures appear to be directly related to the wiring harness recall. However, Nissan Heights informed me that these repairs were my responsibility. In order to retrieve my vehicle, I proceeded with the repairs and paid the required amount after 8 days. When I picked up my vehicle, I later discovered that certain parts had not been properly reassembled before the car was returned to me. I did not immediately notice this until I was already driving home. Because I had to go to work, I was unable to return to the dealership right away and had to make an additional trip back to Nissan Heights so that the issue could be corrected. More concerning, after further inspection of the vehicle, I discovered that a significant amount of what appears to be an acidic grease or liquid substance had been spilled over the exterior of my vehicle. This substance was present on the roof, sides, and doors of the car and appears to have caused damage to the paint. This damage was not present prior to leaving the vehicle at the dealership. The most likely explanation is that the substance came from another vehicle positioned above mine while it was stored or servicRead more

While traveling from Los Angeles, California to Tucson, Arizona with one passenger, the vehicle experienced a sudden and dangerous loss of multiple critical systems while driving at highway speed. Earlier during the trip the vehicle stopped in Quartzsite, Arizona. When attempting to re-enter the vehicle, the key initially did not unlock the vehicle. The driver contacted Range Rover roadside assist

Approximately one hour later, while driving eastbound on Interstate 10 at highway speed after dark, a yellow battery warning light appeared on the dashboard. Shortly afterward a red battery warning and a red triangle warning appeared. Within minutes of these warnings, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion and the transmission shifted into neutral. Immediately afterward, the vehicle lost electrical power and the dashboard and exterior lights went dark. At the same time, steering assistance and brake assist were lost, making it extremely difficult to control the vehicle. The driver had difficulty steering the vehicle and slowing it safely while traveling on a busy highway with heavy truck traffic behind. Because steering assistance and brake assist were lost, the driver had very limited ability to maneuver the vehicle safely. The driver was able to slowly reduce speed and move across several lanes of traffic to the right shoulder of the highway, stopping near Exit 109 (Sun Valley Parkway) on Interstate 10. The vehicle stopped approximately 300 feet before the exit ramp. Because the vehicle had lost electrical power and exterior lighting, the vehicle was difficult for other drivers to see in the dark. Once started, the vehicle did not turn off, even with key completely removed from ignition switch. This was repeatable, every ignition cycle, thereafter. I drove to the dealer, that morning. The dealer mechanic was required to shut off the engine. Dealer mechanic diagnosed failed Battery Junction Box. After Repair, Mechanic diagnosed faulty Body Control Module. Dealer mechanic also recommended replacement of full "Main" wiring harness, interconnecting the two. The cause for all failures was corrosion and electrical shorts due to water ingress. I am aware Ford has issued numerous TSBs and recalls for faulty BCMs, in the same age range as this vehicle. Also, TSBs for water intrusion into the BCM. The mechanic took photos of corrosion on both the BCM and main wiring harness. My prior vehicle was a 2011 Ford F-150, with the same 6.2L engine. No such faults were experienced up to Nov. 2023 sale. Photos of the corrosion on main wiring harness and BCM attached. Dealer has possession of the vehicle. Repairs in progress. Ford has declined support for faulty components; Recalls not associated with this vehicle. Estimated repairs to date on 6 year old vehicle on critical electronics in excess of $7,000.Read more

The vehicle exhibited charging failures on multiple occasions over the course of several days after being connected to a Level 2 home charging unit overnight. On repeated mornings, the high-voltage battery was found to have not charged. The vehicle also exhibited intermittent slow charging behavior during this same period. Approximately six months prior to the charging failures, the 12-volt auxili
... ary battery was found to be completely discharged. During this same period, the vehicle was started on one occasion to find that every warning and alarm indicator on the dashboard had triggered simultaneously. The vehicle was completely inoperable at that time. After several minutes, all warning indicators cleared and normal operation resumed without any intervention. The vehicle was brought to an authorized Hyundai dealership on March 6, 2026, where the technician diagnosed the root cause as a failed Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). The ICCU is responsible for managing both high-voltage battery charging and maintaining the 12-volt auxiliary battery; a failure of this component can result in loss of charging capability, auxiliary battery drain, and potentially a complete and sudden loss of vehicle operability. As of the date of this report, the vehicle is awaiting parts with an estimated repair time of approximately one week. The repair is expected to be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. This failure occurred with fewer than 10,000 miles on a 2025 model year vehicle. Based on publicly available owner reports and online forums, ICCU failures appear to be a recurring issue across multiple Hyundai IONIQ model variants.Read more
