I’m reporting a serious transmission issue with my 2016 F-150. While driving, the 'wrench' light suddenly pops up on my dash and the truck starts shifting erratically. Sometimes it feels like it’s searching for a gear or jerking unexpectedly. I had the codes scanned and found P0706, P0707, and P1921. These are all related to the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) signal. I know the NHTSA is curr
... ently investigating this exact failure under EA26001 because it causes the truck to lose track of what gear it’s in. Even though my tires haven't locked up yet, the erratic shifting is making the truck unpredictable and dangerous to drive in traffic. It’s clearly the same Lead Frame defect that is being investigated for a recall.Read more

Despite multiple repair attempts by Volvo Cars Sugar Land — including software reloads, module reprogramming, and the completion of Recall R10333 — the vehicle continues to experience failures that directly compromise my safety and the safety of my wife. I no longer feel safe operating this vehicle. My XC40 has undergone five documented repair visits, including: • Electrical system failures
... • Infotainment instability • Parking sensor and camera malfunctions • Multiple software reloads and module reprogramming • Recall R10333 “Total Upgrade” On March 11th, while driving at approximately 60 mph on the highway, the IHU screen froze, went completely black, and all audible safety indicators inside the cabin were lost, including: • Turn signal click • Hazard flasher sound • Parking sensor tones • Multimedia audio This condition lasted for nearly 10 minutes, during which I had no ability to safely signal lane changes or rely on audible warnings. I was forced to continue driving until I could safely pull over. After parking, shutting the vehicle off, and waiting several minutes, the IHU restored itself. This incident occurred five days after the most recent repair attempt and represents a serious safety hazard and a complete loss of trust in the vehicle’s reliability.Read more

My Jeep has been cutting off while driving for the past several months. I've taken it to be serviced several times and everything, from the alternator, engine, fuel pump, battery, etc. are all fine. But the vehicle will cut of while driving or while idling at the traffic light. This is a MAJOR safety hazard. Following a "secondary" botched windshield replacement within 3 weeks performed by the Tesla Service Center in Carle Place, NY, my Tesla Model Y experienced a catastrophic structural water intrusion during rainfall. A great amounts of water dripping directly through the windshield seal into the cabin, soaking the dashboard electronics, floorboards, and much more water coming in from the brake peda
... l area while driving on LIE. While I was driving the vehicle with my three children in the back seat, this water intrusion triggered an active electrical short circuit. The vehicle's hazard lights began flashing autonomously, and the electrical system became severely compromised, creating an immediate and life-threatening safety hazard on the road. The vehicle is currently grounded, completely undrivable, and poses a continued electrical fire risk. Tesla Service has been notified in writing and has officially acknowledged via their app that the vehicle must be towed. This gross negligence in structural sealing has directly compromised the vehicle's electrical control modules, severely endangering the lives of the occupants."Read more

The vehicle is experiencing multiple system malfunctions involving engine performance and electrical components. Symptoms include engine trembling at idle, abnormal ticking and hissing noises, and the vehicle pulling while driving. An independent diagnostic scan performed within 24 hours of purchase identified more than twenty fault codes. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The
... se conditions created safety concerns due to instability while driving and the risk of loss of control or unexpected mechanical failure. Additionally, dealership-provided loaner vehicles also malfunctioned, including one becoming inoperable and another displaying a check engine light, leaving the customer stranded and without reliable transportation. The problem has been partially confirmed by both an independent service center and dealership personnel. An independent diagnostic confirmed multiple system faults, and a dealership manager personally observed the engine shaking at idle. A Volkswagen dealership documented abnormal engine behavior but stated the issue could not be consistently reproduced during testing. The vehicle has been inspected by an independent service center (Meineke Automotive) and a Volkswagen dealership (Stone Mountain Volkswagen). A case has been opened with Volkswagen of America for further review. The vehicle has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. Symptoms began immediately after purchase on February 27, 2026, including engine vibration, instability, and drivability issues. Fault codes were identified within 24 hours. Additional warning indicators, including check engine lights and battery-related messages, were later observed, including on dealership-provided loaner vehicles. ⸻Read more

Problem # 1- is 3 out of 4 door lock actuators all of a sudden stopped working at the exact same time, except the driver door. This is a huge safety issue and causes the door to remain locked. Problem #2- My daughter said she almost passed out because

(Google) this is a common problem that people are reporting. My vehicle only has 40k miles on it and its already a fire hazard because fuel is leaking from a plastic cheap fitting. This is the fitting that the fill hose connects to the gas tank. No warning signs until gas fumes filled the cab. This is a fire hazard and also can cause the driver to pass out because of the fumes in the vehicle. No inspections just phone calls to the service department. They want to charge me $175 to just tell me what is broken that I already know. So I called local dealership and they confirmed the symptoms are likely due to broken actuators, and plastic gas fittings.Read more

On 03/13/2026, while driving my 2020 Tesla Model X at approximately 65 mph on a freeway, the front hood (frunk lid) suddenly flew open without warning and slammed into the windshield. The hood rotated upward violently and struck the windshield completely blocking the driver’s forward visibility. This created an immediate safety hazard while traveling at highway speed. Prior to the incident there
... were no warning messages or alerts displayed on the vehicle screen indicating that the hood was open or improperly latched. Tesla vehicles normally provide a dashboard and a sound alert if the hood is not properly latched before driving. No such warning occurred. The vehicle’s front camera recorded the incident. The video does not show any hood movement or flutter prior to the failure, suggesting that the hood was fully closed before the event. After the incident, Tesla service personnel inspected the vehicle. The technician stated that the hood may not have been properly latched prior to driving. However: The vehicle gave no dashboard warning No hood movement or vibration was visible prior to the event The hood opened suddenly and violently rather than gradually If the secondary latch alone had been holding the hood, some hood movement or vibration would normally be expected prior to full release. Safety Concern A hood opening at highway speed that: occurs without warning results in complete loss of forward visibility presents a severe safety risk to the driver and surrounding traffic. This type of failure could easily cause a high-speed crash. I am reporting a serious safety issue involving my 2026 Hyundai Palisade with fewer than 5,000 miles. Hyundai has now issued Recall 296 stating that the second and third row power seats may not respond properly when contacting an occupant or object. Prior to receiving the recall notice, I had already taken the vehicle to the dealership three separate times regarding problems with the rear seats a
... nd unexplained battery failures. Each time I was told nothing was wrong with the seats. The first incident occurred when my child was seated in the rear seat. I attempted to move the seat backward to create more space, but instead of opening properly the seat continued moving in a way that began closing toward my child and would not stop. I was able to quickly remove my child before the seat fully closed. The seat then continued moving on its own. The second incident involved the vehicle battery completely dying without warning. When AAA came to jump start the vehicle, I heard the rear seat motors operating mechanically even though no one was using the seats. The third incident occurred when the battery died again and AAA was called a second time. During the jump start I again heard mechanical movement from the rear seat motors. I had to pay to replace the battery even though the vehicle was nearly new. I informed the dealership multiple times that I believed the issue was related to the seat system, but they told me they could not find anything wrong. Given that Hyundai has now issued Recall 296 regarding malfunctioning power seats, I am extremely concerned that this defect presents a serious safety hazard, particularly to children in the rear seats. I believe the seat system may also be draining the battery due to unintended motor operation.Read more

Unknown. This was a certified preowned vehicle that was purchased on December 18, 2024. We have had NUMEROUS issues with the car since purchase but the most concerning has been the door actuators. The front door actuators on both sides failed in less than a year from date of purchase. I was told by the dealership where it was repaired that this was a common problem and to expect the rear ones t
... o not be far behind. 4 months later, the rear ones are now not working. This creates a safety hazard, especially since this is the primary vehicle that my teenager drives with his younger brother. A malfunctioning door lock actuator can create dangerous situations, including the possibility that a door may fail to unlock or open, potentially trapping passengers in the vehicle during an emergency or out of the vehicle when my underage children are by themselves. Conversely, the door may appear to be locked when the mechanism has not actually engaged, leaving the vehicle vulnerable to unauthorized access. Faulty actuators may also cause erratic locking or unlocking behavior while the vehicle is in motion, which can create a safety distraction for the driver as well as a security risk. There were no warnings that this was an issue. My son thought the doors were locking (and unlocking). I am aware GM is already "tacking" this issue as I could find stats on how many people have reported, so it is enough that they are taking notice.Read more

I was informed that this is a known issue for which there is a recall; however, my vehicle model year is not included in the affected range. It was suggested that I would need to manage this problem independently. I believe this recurring issue represents a known vulnerability that could potentially expose Hyundai and its dealerships to liability should an owner suffer harm while addressing this malfunction. This incident is related to the ARB7/24V-732 recall, first communicated to me in November, 2024 and again in July, 2025. The July, 2025 letter states that software would be installed in the vehicle to test the health of my vehicle's battery, at a Porsche Center. I believe that this was actually performed over-the-air at my home. It's my guess that because the software was installed over-the-air,
... the normal process to close out a recall did not occur. I did not receive notification that my vehicle was determined to be healthy, and it isn't clear when NHTSA did. The slow or non-reporting of the vehicle recall status has had a ripple effect, as practically every third party tracker of recall information believes that the recall is still active on my vehicle. This is impacting the vehicle's worth in the market and may be impacting insurance rates and other vehicle health-dependent service costs. Porsche claims that it is my responsibility to correct the record of the vehicle with third parties, when it is their negligence that is causing the work. I see this as unfinished work on their side, and I ask NHTSA to help drive Porsche Cars North America to complete their work. Moreover, Porsche should be compelled to notify all customers whose health check was performed remotely that their vehicle was found to be healthy and that the recall was lifted on their vehicle. Lastly if it is not mandated that the OEM is responsible to communicate the resolution of recalls performed without service receipts, then this should be considered alongside any other updates to law. Thanks for any help that you can provide.Read more

We purchased a 2023 Mercedes EQB (EV) 2 years ago. The car is part of a recall in which we are advised to not park near other cars and not charge at home. Thus making the car essentially not useable unless we take the risk. We are driving it, knowing that we could catch fire. We are parking it and charging it in our garage, knowing it could catch fire. We have no choice as Mercedes has not offered

In September of 2025, I was notified twice by BMW via mail that my car is under recall. The NHTSA Recall Number is 25V636000. It is possible for water to contact and enter the engine starter. This could lead to corrosion which could cause a short circuit and ultimately a fire. They told me it would be fixed free of charge and I would be notified when the remedy was available. There were no such w
... arnings or messages of the problem prior to being notified of this potential failure. Their mailed instructions told me to park the car outside which I did. My car was exposed to storms and hickory nuts from trees fell on my car causing damage. The extent of the damage was classified as the equivalent of "hail damage" and I had to pay $2000 out of pocket to a Paintless Dent Repair shop to get the damage fixed. I called multiple dealerships back in October and they told me to check in February of 2026. It is now March and a remedy is still not available. I called multiple dealerships today, March 16th 2026, and they have all told me that parts are still not available. This is infuriating. I had to pay a significant amount of money due to a defect on BMW's part. I now park my car in my garage where it belongs. It is infeasible for myself and many others to park a vehicle outside. My safety is put at risk every day and I worry constantly that my vehicle will spontaneously combusts and burns my house down. BMW must make this right. I am seeking a timely resolution to this recall as well as a reimbursement for the cosmetic damage I was forced to repair.Read more

The vehicle is exhibiting symptoms that are identical to those described in NHTSA Recall 25V556 — water intrusion through the windshield and A-pillar area. The recall documents that improperly sealed windshields can allow water to enter the power distribution box and electronic control unit, leading to a short circuit and, in extreme cases, a thermal event even when the ignition is off.

On 3 separate occasions between August 20 2025 to October 1 2025 and on one occasion in January 2026, while driving at highway speed, the drivers console and information display on the dash of the vehicle completely stopped responding and went dark. ... lights and functions at a time with the functions on the rear view mirror and remote support/emergency help features lights stayed on and did not turn off until the vehicle was restarted. After the first instance I took the vehicle to the dealer in Burlington Vermont however they were not able to look at the vehicle and as the problem was not repeatable and not currently displayed they had no support to offer. Following the second instances instance the passenger in the vehicle had time to take a photo however the photo is simply of the vehicle traveling with the display off. The third instance offered again at night so no attempt was made at getting a photo or video. The problem was reported to the Clermont Florida dealer during the 10,000 mile service however again as the problem was not visible and not repeatable no action was taken by the dealer and there were no action was suggested or recommended. The problem has occurred once more in January 2026, again at highway speed, and power restored in a few seconds.Read more
