I was driving the truck on my way to work in [XXX] , last March 12, 2026, at around 6:50 am. It was raining when I entered the exit ramp to work going west; the truck died, and the steering wheel locked. I tried to start it, but it wouldn't. The dashboard displayed: 'Trailer Park Brake Failed,' 'Power Steering Pump Needs Service,' and 'Axle Repair Error.' I was on the exit ramp for a highway that
... runs north and south, and I could have been t-boned; it was still dark. The truck was towed to Curry Chevrolet in Scarsdale. They said it was the ECM and ordered the part. They installed the new ECM module last Tuesday, March 17. The service manager called me and said they tested the truck, but it is still showing active codes. A GM advisor called me saying the truck should be ready for pickup this Friday. However, this afternoon, I got a call from the service manager saying there is another issue—the engine wiring harness—and they will order the part; now it will not be ready until next week. GM owes me my life. I do not want to drive the vehicle. The service department people at Curry Chevrolet are very professional, but did I pay and spend a lot of money for a garbage truck? I’d like to file a complaint regarding Hyundai Recall#290, a potential fire hazard with my cars “trailer wiring harness accessory module”, which Hyundai has not offered a remedy at this time. I spoke to Hyundai’s customer service representative yesterday (3/18/26) about this recall that’s now over a month old, and asked if I could get reimbursed for my out of pocket costs to remove the h
... itch’s wiring at a Hyundai dealership. The rep said Hyundai won’t pay for my out of pocket cost to remove the harness wiring because they don’t have an official “remedy” yet. My local Hyundai dealership said the cost to unplug/remove the wiring would be about $200, which in my opinion would solve the problem and certainly is a “remedy”. Hyundai refuses to reimburse me this cost even though they have a Hyundai recall reimbursement program for out of pocket expenses due to recall issues. My complaint: 1 - Hyundai has failed to provide a no cost recall remedy within a reasonable period of time. 2 - if I choose to pay for removal of the wiring, my out of pocket cost of $200 will not be reimbursed by Hyundai. 3 - Hyundai’s recall says I could continue to drive my 2024 Hyundai Tucson, but apparently if the car gets wet, the wiring could ignite and cause a fire, which I’m not very comfortable with. 4 - I don’t use the trailer harness module at all since I bought the car used from the original owner, so removing the entire harness would be a reasonable solution and allay the fire risk. Thank you.Read more

I would like to update my previous safety concern since both concerns are related to separate recall issues. This concern is related to my vehicle experiencing potential electrical issues which appear to be similar to the same 12-volt battery management failures that are currently recalled in the Bronco Sport models. The "Charging System Service Now" alarm continues to pop up, sometimes every 30 s
... econds. I have not able to use my communication and navigation system for months now which has caused continuous issues which first started with my gps taking me to a completely different location on several occasions. This has caused me to get lost, be late, and be distracted while trying to fix the navigation error. These electrical issues have affected the safety of myself and my passengers due to the potential for complete electrical power loss, including loss of navigation/communications. It has also resulted in me getting pulled over by law enforcement twice: Once, where I received a warning for failing to use my turn signal when exiting which was the result of my entire screen going black while I was using my GPS and panicked. The second time was for speeding: 1. I was distracted because the Charging System Service alarm popped up on my dashboard. 2. My navigation screen was not working which I what I used to monitor the speed limit and maintain correct speed when the sign was not visible. 3. According to research, this may have affected the accuracy of the speed gun since I did not agree with the speed the officer detected. Research into this issue did, in fact, indicate that electromagnetic interference caused by the electrical faults and alternator issues can produce broadband noise or EMI which may overload or confuse the sensitivity of the radar gun, causing a false speed reading. Yes, the Ford Dealership was contacted, and I was told they did not have the parts/software available to fix the electrical issue. A mechanic also indicated issues with the alternator.Read more

About 3 hours into a 4 hour drive (while the car was only months old, with just 1800 miles), the sound switched from playing the radio at a normal volume to suddenly extraordinarily loud crackle, static, popping noises. The noise continued at this indescribably high volume for about one minute while I tried anything to help -- I tried adjusting the volume knob, unplugging my phone (which was plugg
... ed in just for directions), switching inputs, switching from FM to AM, pushing the volume knob in to turn the whole thing off, etc. Nothing stopped the noise. After about 90 seconds, it stopped, but I still do not know why. After that, I could not get any sound to play. My ears rang the entire rest of the drive (another 1 hour). The noise was so loud and so sudden that it made me very upset and scared at what could have happened that luckily didn't - I could have easily been so startled to swerve into another lane, and if my 4 year old had been in the back, I am really scared to think of how traumatized he would be, how damaged his ears would be, and what else would have happened. My ears are still ringing today, a full day later.Read more

Incident date: Jan 7, 2026
My vehicle is experiencing potential electrical issues which appear to be similar to the same 12-volt battery management failures that are currently recalled in the Bronco Sport models. The "Charging System Service Now" alarm continues to pop up, sometimes every 30 seconds. I am also not able to use my communication and navigation system, and I am not sure if this is related to the same electrical
... system malfunctions. Furthermore, on three recent occasions, my vehicle stalled while I was pulling out of a street which was on a slight incline, another while I was on a hill in a parking lot, and another while I was reversing and putting my car into 1st gear to drive. During all of these occasions, my vehicle stalled and did not automatically re-start which had me blocking traffic while I turned my vehicle back on. All of these issues have affected the safety of myself and my passengers due to the unexpected stalling as well as electrical power loss, including loss of navigation/communications. It has also resulted in me getting pulled over by law enforcement twice due to swerving while I was looking at the screen when it went black and the other because I was speeding because my Charging System Service alarm went off and I was also unable to determine the speed limit of that road without having my navigation screen working. I believe I have contacted the Ford Dealership regarding the specific loss of the communication and navigation issue and was told they did not have the parts/software available at this time. I have taken my vehicle to an Advance Auto Parts store when the "Charging System Service Now" first appeared and was told it was potentially the alternator. Rear climate control system fails to provide cooled air to the second and third rows during normal vehicle operation. Front vents produce cold air while rear vents blow warm to hot air despite temperature settings at minimum, high fan speed, and recirculation enabled. The condition has been present since vehicle delivery and has persisted despite three repair attempts by an authorized dealership.
... The problem has been reproducible under both driving and idle conditions. Independent measurements using a probe-based temperature instrument inserted into the vents confirm a significant difference between front and rear discharge temperatures. After approximately 25 minutes of driving in moderate weather (about 72°F ambient), front vents measured approximately 42–44°F while second and third row vents remained approximately 72–86°F. In warmer conditions, rear vent temperatures have exceeded 90°F. Adjusting the front climate control to a normal comfort setting causes rear temperatures to rise further even when rear controls remain set to maximum cooling. The vehicle is a three-row family SUV. The failure exposes rear passengers, including a toddler in a rear-facing car seat, to elevated temperatures during normal driving, particularly in hot and humid southern Louisiana conditions. Young toddlers are more vulnerable to heat exposure and cannot easily regulate internal body temperatures themselves, increasing safety concerns. The defect substantially limits safe and practical use of rear seating areas and remains unresolved despite repeated service attempts. No warning indicators are provided to the driver that rear cooling is inadequate. The condition reduces the vehicle’s ability to safely transport passengers in rear seating positions during hot weather. The vehicle manufacturer, Stellantis N.V., has been formally notified of the condition and is aware of the issue.Read more

I have dropped off the car at the dealership and they do not what's causing the issue. My car warranty has 300 miles left and they told me after my bumper to bumper expires there is not much they can do to cover it. I was wondering if this was ever reported or has there been previous recalls on it. Thank you very much for your time.Read more

Electronic Power Steering just stopped all of a sudden while I was going up the mountain into North Carolina that almost caused an accident the only reason it didn’t is because of the pull off right after the curve I was going through when I lost all steering! With the truck already in the pull off I stopped to see if I had lost a serpentine belt unaware this Ram is equipped with the EPS System.

So the nice gentleman that stopped said he would follow me to the nearest cell service area so I could call someone, No warning light the first time at all the second time the only warning light was service ABS system which shouldn’t affect having power steering. So I repeated the steps as I did the first time and had steering again the service ABS System light was gone and we made it 11 Minutes up the mountain before it happened again only this time all kinds of service lights came on all at once, Service Electronic brake system,Service ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM, SERVICE ELECTRONIC SHIFTER, SERVICE POWER STEERING SYSTEM, traction control was disabled which isn’t good in snowy weather conditions and i had no choice but to continue 3mins to the next town with no power steering no traction control and all these other warning lights because it wouldn’t fix it anymore temporarily by in hooking the positive battery cable and waiting 20 minutes which I attempted 3 times with no success once we reached the town I was able to call and have someone come pick me and my truck up and brought a scan tool I cleared the codes only for them to come right back as soon as I would crank the truck! I am reporting a life-threatening incident involving my 2020 Ford Fusion PHEV. On December 5, 2025, while my wife was driving on a public street, the vehicle suffered a sudden, complete engine failure followed by smoke and fire originating from the high-voltage battery pack in the trunk. There were no prior warning signs or dashboard alerts before the incident. This vehicle was sold via IAAI aucti

When the fire started, my wife was in a state of panic. I arrived at the scene before emergency services. Being a technician, I performed a high-risk manual extraction of the burning battery pack to prevent the entire vehicle and the surrounding residential area from a potential explosion. I risked electrocution and toxic chemical exposure to save lives. The damaged battery pack is currently preserved and available for professional inspection upon request. The front passenger seat lumbar/massage system malfunctioned and inflated without user input to maximum capacity. The lumbar air bladder became over-pressurized and created a large, hard, immovable bulge in the center of the seatback. The system will not properly deflate and remains in this condition. The failed component appears to be the lumbar/massage module and valve system, which is electron
... ically controlled. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates a rigid protrusion directly behind the occupant’s spine. In the event of a crash, this would alter occupant positioning, concentrate force on the spine, and interfere with proper restraint function and airbag performance. This will increase the risk of injury to the occupant. The problem has been confirmed by Lander’s Jeep dealership in Little Rock, AR, which acknowledged the issue but advised that diagnosis and repair would be costly and would not be covered under my warranty or extended service contract provided by MOPAR. No warning lights or messages appeared prior to the failure. The issue occurred suddenly during normal use. Online research shows countless similar failures in 2022+ Jeep Grand Wagoneer vehicles, with consistent reports of lumbar/massage module or valve failures causing uncontrolled inflation. Some owners report repeat failures and electrical issues related to the seat module. Given the repeated nature of this failure across multiple vehicles and the potential safety implications, this issue should be investigated as a possible safety defect affecting occupant protection systems. After starting the car, a message displayed on dashboard "Check Electrical System." After having the car towed to the dealer, they ended up replacing the Integrated Charging Control System (ICCU) and fuse. The d

I had 93u9 criteria 04 recall done in February. As of March 6, I had a no power supply message. Without being able to charge it went to the dealer. They said it was the charge port assembly but not from the recall since that was software. Once that was fixed they charged the car and it immediately had the fault electrical malfunction. Now they say i need to replace the rear drive motor. Then thy c

This appears all related. After I got the car back from the recall, I had two times the charging didn’t want to start, then I had ghost wiping with the rear wiper and the infotainment system rebooted several times while driving. Safety had gotten much worse and now there are cascading failures. Audi does not want to admit the recall was the cause, but the car had no issues prior and now a month later had $17000 in repairs. Audi has had the error code reports requested by me, but they have not provided them including the corporate office. I feel this recall caused a catastrophic failure of my battery and electrical system.Read more
