It started when I purchased it in February 2025 Mileage was 99200 I noticed the seatbelt warning signs didn’t ding if I didn’t have my seatbelt on. And the sunroof not only was leaking but it is coming apart where it is held in place I’m afraid it will suddenly come down and strike me without notice while driving. Theee days ago I noticed the airbag light came on while I had the driver assi
... st engaged so I stopped and turned the driver assistance light on and then off which caused the airbag light to turn off . But today with 1100 miles on the vehicle I was driving and the light. Came on as I was driving again. I tried turning off the drivers assistance button but the light stays on!!! I’m concerned about the safety while driving with the airbag light, the seatbelt not signaling when the seatbelt is not on it ding to remind me that someone doesn’t have their seat belt on. At lastly , I believe that I am going to be injured by the sunroof motor fulling down while I am driving causing a car wreck and or injuring me or a passenger. The OCS system in the 2015 model needs to be fixed before serious injury occurs.Read more

I purchased my 2017 Lincoln MKZ Select on November 11, 2024. The vehicle was determined to need a new engine, per Murgado Lincoln of Chicago. They had my car for over 48 days while putting in a new engine. After this was completed the car had to be sent back due to a mistake the mechanics made by not attaching a gasket properly. After this, I began experiencing odd noises underneath the hood and t

I have a 2016 kia sedona. Engines on the vehicle have been known to be bad and I already had 1 engine replaced under their extended warranty that covers to 150000 miles after a blown head gasket. Dealer crash my car waited a month for parts and they never repaired damages to my bumper and airbag light. 2 month later car overheats again now coolant spraying into trunk and hose pop again now at heater core. There is no light notice of when car overheating tiil very hot. Or someone tells me my car is smoking by then it is followed by a loud noise and coolant leaking everywhere again. This time the overheating bust the heater core hose in my trunk and was spraying coolant all in trunk while I was getting ready to get of freeway. Very scary. I pulled over just in time for noise and coolant to leak out everything from resovoir again. This is my family car and have 5 kids under 18 and feel very unsafe now. Despite paying for everything kia suggest every 1-2 months they still fail to find cause of overheating and constant hoses breaking or coming loose after the pressure build up and I am scared this car will catch fire or stall one day with my children in car. Already noticed sometime its like car struggles to accelerate despite a supposed new engine but car been constantly overheating even after engine replacement and it also still causes sludge in hose& had 4 coolant flushes in a year and new hoses and now seems people working on car not sure what they doing because I was told I needed new heater hoses 2months later they didn't know my heater core was at back car so didn't replace so this hose burst despite kia recommendation to replace. I was driving on I-290 toward Chicago when traffic began to slow. I also began slowing down when I was suddenly rear-ended by the vehicle behind me at a high speed. My car sustained significant rear-end damage, including a crushed bumper and a detached exhaust pipe that was dragging on the ground. The other vehicle involved was totaled. Police arrived on the scene and determined the other driver w
... as at fault. While waiting for the tow truck, multiple tow personnel commented that, based on the severity and location of the impact, the airbags should have deployed — but they did not. I did not receive any warning lights, alerts, or messages before or after the impact. I did not hit my head, but it was a real possibility given the force of the crash, and I believe this created a serious safety risk. I purchased this vehicle in large part due to its reputation for safety, and in this situation, I felt unprotected. At this point, the vehicle has not yet been inspected by a dealer or manufacturer, but the police and insurance companies have been involved. I am concerned that the failure of the airbag system to deploy represents a defect or malfunction in the safety system. I am willing to make the vehicle available for inspection if needed.Read more

Tesla wants >$750 to "fix" a bug it sold in the car, & won't turn off the beep that happens every 5 minutes of driving, telling us that their sensor is defective. They want us to pay to tear the seat apart so they can replace the entire sensor. This error is happening in most of their vehicles (at least 2019 Model 3's). It's probably a Malfunctioning Occupant Weight Sensor (which determines if so
... meone is in the seat and dictates whether the airbag should deploy). This fault triggers the painful loud beep/warning every 5 minutes of driving, & may disable the airbag in a collision. Tesla's systems rely heavily on software, & it may be a glitch or bug, but they say they can't fix it w/o making us pay to take out the seats. Or it may be Wiring and Connection Issues. Yesterday on 7/13, my family and I were fully stopped and parked in a parking spot (car was in park, to the best of my knowledge). The front passenger had just exited the vehicle and was opening the back door where my kids were just beginning to get out of their seats. At that moment, something occurred that caused the car to speed over the parking curb, across a pedestrian sidewalk and struck a b
... rick and glass building storefront. What's odd is, assuming the car was in park, which i believe it was, the car accelerated to max speed and the airbags did not deploy and the hazard lights never turned on after the accident. In addition, the car has safety features designed to detect objects and avoid collisions and should switch the car to park when the car is stopped and doors are opened. I am happy and motivated to make the car available for inspection immediately. I really want to understand what happened and why for my own benefit (and peace of mind) but mostly because I don't want this to happen to any one else in the car or pedestrians in the area. Had my car been parked just a little further down the block, families were eating lunch at an outdoor restaurant which could have ended in serious injury or worse. My car is currently in the tow yard that the police department picked. My insurance is asking me where to tow and I want to make sure it ends up somewhere that can fully diagnose what happened based on the car's internal computer (if possible). The car has been seen by my local police department and fire department that came on site. But, no formal inspection has occurred yet. But will likely be done this week. No warning messages were shown on the car prior to the accident and potential malfunction.Read more

I was driving normally last week when the driver's head restraint system (known by Mercedes as Neck Pro) unexpectedly and without warning blew at my head. I was able to pull over to investigate what happen

If this had happened on the highway at highway speeds with a less attentive driver, I could see this potentially resulting in a major collision. The road was fat, no bumps, weather was clear. There is no reason why this happened. From what I can tell, the system looks like it failed (plastic clips broke off) and the system did not intentionally deploy. It has not been repaired and is available for inspection. I have not taken it to the dealership for review. The vehicle is in perfect condition with no warnings. Request for Recall Coverage – 2013 Nissan Rogue Select Airbag Issue Dear Sir, I am the original owner of a 2013 Nissan Rogue Select. However, when I contacted both the Nissan dealership and Nissan North America, I was informed that my vehicle is not included in the affected recall list—even though it is the same model and year, and shows the exact defect identified in the recall. As a senior citizen, I am deeply concerned about the functionality of the airbag system in my vehicle. I rely on the safety features of my car, and I hope that, if ever needed, the airbag would deploy as intended. I respectfully hope that Nissan reevaluates my case and includes my vehicle in the recall repair program, as the issue clearly aligns with the known defect. Police case : 2500011609 The failure of the airbags in my Toyota Camry placed both the driver and the minor passenger at significant risk of injury. While the airbags in the Ford vehicle deployed and presumably helped protect its occupants, my passenger was left unprotected, leading to sustained injuries that require ongoing medical treatment. ... Toyota’s airbag system. Collision between Toyota Camry 2011 with a 2005 Black Ford Freestyle. The Ford vehicle's airbags deployed, but the airbags in my Toyota Camry did not deploy, despite the severity of the crash. The airbag system in my Toyota Camry, specifically the airbag sensors and deployment mechanism, failed to activate during the crash. This failure prevented the airbags from deploying, which is critical given the impact severity. The vehicle was totaled due to extensive damage, and the airbag system in my Toyota Camry has not been inspected by the manufacturer yet. However, it should be made available for inspection by Toyota or a qualified independent service center upon request. The failure of the airbags to deploy exposed the driver and the minor passenger to increased risk of injury. The airbags are an essential safety feature meant to reduce injury during moderate to severe collisions, and their failure likely contributed to the severity of the injuries sustained by the passenger. On [XXX] while driving approximately 1.5 hours away from home, a warning message appeared on my dashboard stating: “Hybrid System Warning. Stop and Do Not Drive.” I immediately pulled over and contacted my insurance company, who arranged for the vehicle to be towed to the nearest authorized Hyundai dealership (Thomas Hyundai in Cumberland). The warning clearly indicated that it was not safe to
... continue driving. Later, I found out that the issue reported (recall 198) have presented cases ending with fire of the engine. It is critical to mention that in January 2025, I attended the official manufacturer recall for this vehicle, which was supposed to ensure safety and reliability. Despite this, the vehicle failed and left me stranded in an unsafe area. Since then, I have been without my vehicle for over three weeks. I contacted Hyundai customer care and opened a case. I was repeatedly told a case manager would call me within three business days, but I never received any follow-up until I insisted. I was eventually assigned a case manager named Snowy, and also remained in contact with the dealership. On several occasions, both Snowy and the dealership assured me that the vehicle would be ready by Thursday, July 10 and that It was not until then that I could start to request a reimbursement for my rental expenses. I repeatedly asked for confirmation because I am renting a car at my own expense in order to go to work and manage my life. However, on Thursday, July 10, I called again and was told the vehicle would instead be ready by Tuesday, July 15. Then, on Friday, July 11, I received an email stating that the engine had just arrived, and that the dealership was only now able to begin repairs. After that, and only once the car is finished, Hyundai will “review” the case and determine whether I qualify for reimbursement. This is unacceptable. According to Mazda and NHTSA documents, this defect can completely disable airbag function, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. As of July 11, 2025, I have not received any recall notice from Mazda by mail, email, phone, or dealer contact—despite being the registered owner. Mazda’s documentation shows that: Dealers were notified as early as June 3, 2025 Owner letters are not scheduled until July 28, 2025 This means that I was driving a defective vehicle without knowledge of a serious safety issue at the time of the crash. I believe that: Mazda failed in its legal obligation to notify me in a timely and adequate manner. The non-deployment of airbags in my crash is consistent with the failure described in Recall 7525E. Other affected Mazda owners may remain unaware and at significant risk. I respectfully request that NHTSA: Investigate whether Recall 7525E was the cause of airbag failure in this incident. On [XXX] Lucid diagnosed the issue as internal play in the bracket that mounts the driver airbag. Instead of replacing the bracket or steering wheel assembly, the technician appl
... ied “sound dampening tape” to eliminate movement and reinstalled the original parts. This raises serious concerns about compliance with FMVSS 208, which governs airbag performance and crash safety. A loose or shifting airbag bracket could compromise airbag deployment direction or timing. The use of adhesive tape to correct physical bracket play in a federally regulated safety system appears to be a non-standard and potentially non-compliant repair method. Lucid has provided no documentation confirming that this repair method was approved by their engineering team or validated against crashworthiness standards. As a consumer, I am concerned about the long-term integrity of the Supplemental Restraint System and the potential risk of injury in a collision. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether this type of repair complies with federal safety requirements. Received a safety recall and called Greg Lair GMC to schedule repair. Service guy told me the part is backorder. Called first of June and dealer still says part backorder. Letter said the parts were available. Is the dealership just not wanting to comply with this recall?
