My Subaru Outback 2022 experienced a failure of the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) sensors, resulting in the airbag warning light turning on and the airbags being disabled. The nature of the defect, the diagnostic trouble codes, and the location of the failed component are identical to Subaru Recall 24V227000 recently issued for the same model and year range. However, my VIN is not included
... in the recall. This is a safety-critical defect that prevents the airbags from deploying in a crash. The failure occurred under normal driving conditions and with all required maintenance performed. I believe my vehicle should be included in the existing recall, or a new recall should be issued to address this broader production issue. The defect puts occupants at risk of injury or death in the event of a collision. Please investigate this matter and require Subaru to expand the recall coverage to all affected VINs.Read more

This is a follow-up and correction to a complaint previously submitted for VIN [XXX] regarding airbag non-deployment during a passenger-side T-bone collision on [XXX]. A [XXX] child was properly restrained in a rear-facing car seat in the rear passenger-side seat. The vehicle was struck directly on the passenger side at an estimated 30 mph. The front passenger door was deformed to the point it
... can no longer be opened. Despite this significant side impact and the presence of an occupied child seat in the rear, no side curtain airbags deployed—including those designed to protect rear outboard passengers. This vehicle is equipped with side curtain airbags as standard equipment. We believe this may constitute a failure of the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) to perform as intended under FMVSS 214 and 226. We request that this report be associated with the prior complaint and considered in any manufacturer or regulatory investigation. On 05AUG25, my wife was involved in a frontal collision while driving our 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. The vehicle struck another vehicle at an estimated speed of over 30 mph, resulting in significant damage to the front passenger side, including deformation of the hood and front quarter panel. Despite the severity of the impact, no airbags deployed. My wife was properly restrained and sustai
... ned visible bruising across her torso. She is currently in her second trimester of pregnancy. The seatbelt force alone presented a serious safety risk to her and our unborn child. There were no airbag system warning lights prior to the collision, and the SRS appeared to be functioning normally. The failure of the airbags to deploy under these conditions indicates a potential defect in the supplemental restraint system. This appears to be a dangerous failure of the airbag system. We are requesting a formal investigation into the SRS components and crash sensor functionality of this vehicle model.Read more

Purchased vehicle almost a year ago with Mobile dealership telling me they were unable to have air bags replaced due to lack of parts from manufacturer. I have been in contact every few months with local dealership (Mullinax in Montgomery, AL) checking on status of recalled airbags. On date of appointment I was on time delivering vehicle as they confirmed it would take most of the day. Three hours later I was called saying there was no airbags available to me and that I would have to be put on a waiting list as one was ordered. I have read where these malfunction causing major damage to vehicle which dealerships and GM do not cover. On August 6, 2025, I purchased a 2013 Infiniti G37 from Auto Quality Corp. The total amount paid was $4,700 with a pending balance of $1000. I was given the car turned on and was not present when the car was turned on. Upon leaving the dealership and arriving to my destination, I turned off the car. Once I was ready to get back on the road, the car failed to turn on again. The vehicle is failing t
... o start and is now inoperable. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle due to the major concerns that are showing up. The vehicle is not functional. The car stopped working entirely within the same day of purchase, and I am now left with a non-operational vehicle. The odometer has discrepancies. The bill of sale shows 82,521 miles, but this does not match the information in the vehicle history reports. Also, I was not made of aware, until I signed the bill of sale, that the Airbags checkbox is marked as unknown. This raises serious safety concerns, especially since I suspect the vehicle may not even be equipped with functioning airbags. The Dealer also refuses to cooperate. I contacted them the same day I was sold the vehicle and did not answer the phone calls. I had to get a ride and go physically to the office to state my complaint. I want to return the car and request a full refund due to safety and misrepresentation issues. However, they refused to accept a return or provide any refund. The vehicle was sold "as-is" but I know the sale involved fraud and omitted critical safety information that would have affected my decision to purchase. I am requesting that your office investigate this dealer for potential violations of Florida law regarding vehicle sales, odometer fraud, and failure to disclose critical safety information.Read more

My vehicle was backed into while ì was inside of it in a parking lot. Due to my horn failing., I was unable to alert the other driver to see me. The clock spring is what failed the first time at 95k they replaced it. I'm now at 147k and it failed again . Now I'm discovering that if it does not work, there's an electrical circuit failure and that the airbag will not deploy if I get in an accide
... nt. This is a serious safety issue and I feel Toyota should be responsible for it for the life of the vehicle . A horn should never go out. Especially if it not working will keep my air bag from functioning properly . 850 out of my pocket is way steep. The replacement part lasted half as long as the original part did when I bought the car that to me seems like a faulty part this should be obvious and they should just fix the problem cuz I might have to just consult an attorney should they choose not to. The attached photo shows what happens when you can't beep your horn at somebody who's about to back into your car !!! my car still has not turned on any kind of warning lamp for the airbag or any kind of malfunction light, no warnings on my radio. I have noticed that my Lane departure warning seems to work intermittently along with the automatic high beams that like to flash my high beams in people's face for some unapparent reason which also seems like a safety issue. If I had to take my car to an inspection station it would not pass an inspection due to the horn not working ! I’m filing this as a VOQ complaint for ODI’s review and authorize NHTSA to share my identifying info with Honda if needed. Supporting Documentation and numerous examples of complaints from hundreds of Honda Accord owners relating to this problem: - Numerous drivers of 2018 Honda Accords have reported the identical warning (“Supplemental Restraint System Problem – See Dealer”) along with fault code B002013, intermittent dashboard behavior, and inability of dealers to resolve it consistently. - Honda’s 2024 Campaign 24‑050 identifies the seat weight sensor as directly causing SRS warnings and passenger airbag indicator failure - demonstrating this component is known to fail and trigger airbag system alert behavior, even if not yet applied to 2018 model year. - Independent coverage confirms the risk and design defect in seat sensors causing unintended SRS failures, underscoring the safety risk and Honda’s formal acknowledgment of the issue in later models. - Multiple complaints about post‑service warning lights that match this scenario (electrical system category), and public news coverage stating Honda is recalling vehicles due to faulty passenger seat sensors that may cause airbag or SRS failures. - 37 official complaints for the 2018 Accord, with no repair by dealer and failure left unresolved.
