Warning lights come up on the dashboard often (brake failure, airbag failure, steering failure, start/stop needs servicing, transmission needs servicing, pullover safely car will turn off, car not in park but it is and won’t turn off) the car turns itself on and off all day. From the beginning the vehicle had electrical issues, not connecting to my phone or Bluetooth, the screen not working, loc
... king and unlocking only working from the key not using the passive entry and having to start the push button by pushing it with the key or it wouldn’t work, it’s gotten progressively worse and now mid drive it will slam to a stop like it hit a wall, flash all the system failure lights then just all the instrument panel lights, it turns on the windshield wipers, the hazards do not work, the headlights start flashing independently etc. it will not turn off or on. It has been towed to the shop twice for this where they replace the two batteries/fuse array and say they can’t get it to happen again but see the codes on the box. It’s spent a combined 140+ days in the shop at this point where I have to fight days to get a rental. The slamming to a stop mid drive is so harsh not only am I almost rear ended but also it’s torn my shoulder forming a cyst that I’ve had trigger point shots and physical therapy for and might need surgery yet they still refuse to buy it back. I have videos.Read more

The front passenger airbag sensor is faulty. My understanding is that the airbag is set up to be deployed when someone who is at least 65lbs sits on the front seat. I am 85lbs so the sensor should always detect me but it doesn't; it only does so about 10% of the time. Sometimes it turns on and then goes off. In contrast, I always trigger the sensor in my husband's 2023 Subaru Crosstrek.

Contacted Mercedes because Dealer said it was a common problem. Airbag light was on. we were in a head-on collision (not our fault) in April. The police determined the combined speed of the crash impact to be 60-65 miles per hour. The 2020 Tesla Y did not deploy its airbags. And as far as we can determine, the accident was not automatically recorded by the Tesla as it should have been. Because the airbags did not deploy, I sustained a fracture to my sternum that traverses over
... to my collarbone. We both have TBIs and other injuries. With that kind of an impact, one would expect an airbag to protect oneself, yet it did not. There were no warning lights/messages/etc from our vehicle. We are asking that you please look into this safety matter. (Especially since you are part of the push to have us own electric cars, they need to be safe for us). I do not know how much longer the Tesla will be available to inspect.Read more

A sensor, or trio of sensors, in the passenger side airbag system failed. Nissan/Infiniti says they cant be sure which of the three sensors is causing the problem and needs to replace all three. One of the sensors is integrated into the passenger seat itself and therefore the entire seat must be replaced. This all adds up to a very expensive repair cost of over $10,000 for sensors that are not acc
... essible by the user, and therefore failed because of a manufacturer's defect, and not because of wear and tear, or anything caused by the user. Infiniti is unable to tell me how the passenger side airbag will react in the event of an accident, so that leads me to beleive the vehible is possibly unsafe, and a risk to anyone riding in the front passenger's seat. The problem has been inspected and is documented with the Infiniti and the Sewell Dealership in Dallas, Texas. The vehicle has not been inspected by the police or insurance representatives, but rather the Sewell Infiniti Service Center. There is an airbag light flashing on the dashboard. That is what alerted me to the problem and prompted me to take it in for inspection of the issue.Read more

Vehicle drive system fault: This issue has happened to me 2x in my personal car and 1x in the loaner vehicle that Vinfast gave me. When this happens, the vehicle shuts off. You can’t put the car in drive or reverse. You have to leave the car, wherever it is, walk a good distance away& wait for about 15mins. The first time, I was pulling into a spot at a grocery store & and car died in the
... middle of the aisle. I was blocking all traffic. Luckily after 4 mins the car was able to go into N and I got pushed into a parking spot. The second time was with the loaner car, I started to back up and the car died. This time, I had to walk in the rain to a store down the street and wait for the car to “disconnect from the key fob” and wait 15 mins. The third time I was in my personal car and I was moving. I slowed down to make a turn and the car slammed on the brakes and died. For me, this is a huge safety issue. I’ve been driving for over 25, had many cars and never had issues like this. I’m not always in a safe location where I can get out and leave the vehicle. Also, ever time I get into this car there is a new error message, for example. The AES system turns off when facing the sun . I’ve reported all of this and documented everything. I feel unsafe in this car. The dealer said “ the driver fault will happen when you put it in gear too fast”. I’ve driving like this for 25 years and I’ve never had a car turn or and leave me stranded. I don’t trust this vehicleRead more
