My car has been brought in for service multiple times due to airbag issues. After the initial repair resembling of the car panels was not done correctly forcing me to bring back the vehicle. After this on another occasional a strange rattling noise began to happen while driving the vehicle. This was scheduled for service but then the noise went away. After this another airbag issue came up saying
... the vehicle had to be taken to the dealer. The dealer was inititally saying the issue could not be duplicated and I could pick up the vehicle. At this point I looked up recalls and found the recall regarding steering and that noises could be attributed to this. I ask the recall be performed and was told it could not be. Another issue was however found with the airbags and repaired. I was told to get vehicle as it was fine. Since then the noise has occurred on 3 seperate occasions. Additionally while driving with lane control the vehicle has 2 twice left lane on highway forcing me to correct. I feel things are being dealt with in a very dishonest way by Honda of America and it is instructing dealers to avoid correctly diagnoising issues and falsling claiming it cannot be duplicated to avoid itself costly repairs.Read more

I just bought a Used 2006 Suzuki Reno from a private seller 3 months ago. It has less then 53,000 miles on it so I thought I was getting a great deal. While driving it at night 3 weeks ago, I had my lights on high beam. A car was coming towards me so I flipped the light switch on my steering column. Which is also the blinker switch. And we almost wrecked head on with each other because when I fli
... pped the switch to go to low beam there was no headlights. None whatsoever on low beam. I have driven on my street testing it to make sure it wasn't a 1 time thing. Or possibly my fault. If I have the low beam lights on when I first turn the lights on they work but go dimmer and dimmer as time goes by. And as soon as I flip the switch whether it's from High beam or low beam it's completely dark. No lights on low beam at all after flipping switch. But they work on high beam. I took it to my mechanic and he said there's a short/problem in the headlight switch/blinker switch on the steering column. I can't/don't drive it at night or anytime after 6pm to be safe. Also my mechanic has had to clear the driver side airbag light that has come on my dashboard 2 times. 1st time he thought it was because the service ingine light came on. He had to replace the cam shaft position sensor. Only a week later the airbag light came back on the dashboard. So off to the repair shop I went again, costing more money. He said he was able to clear it. But not for long. 3 days later it was back on. So I checked different options and took my car to a different repair shop. I was told then that this make and model car had issues with the airbag wire harness from the steering column all the way to how the wiring was ran to the front driver seat how it's to be connected under front driver seat. Causing damage to the airbag sensor & module. Son sold car to me after mom died. Told there's recalls for both, didn't know it or have done. 1 site said yes to car recalls another said no. ??? I took in my car for the fuel pump recall on October 4th at Clawson Honda Fresno. I took it home the same day and the next day my car was stalling and shut off on me. I took my car back to Clawson Honda on October 8th and they scanned it and said the fuel pressure was low. They cleared the codes that they claimed were unrelated to the recall and wanted to charge me 390 for diagnostics. I refused.
... My car is still stalling in the road and many of the dash lights come on. The car wont let me accelerate. I took it back to Clawson Honda October 30th because this issue was not present prior to the recall. We just received a call that the fuel pump that was replaced is making the other components work harder which is causing it to stall. This is all clearly caused by the recall but they want me to pay 1500 out of pocket to have it fixed. Which is unfair. I submitted a complaint to Honda corporate but they still say we have to pay dealership fees. My car was working fine before the recall and Im frustrated that it was returned to me in worse condition. This was all because of the recall fuel pump and the issues are all connected so I shouldnt have to pay.Read more

I am writing to express my concerns regarding a malfunction in my vehicle, specifically related to the airbags and the steering angle sensor or possibly the steering wheel itself. Over the past year, I have noticed a significant change in my vehicle's performance. Initially, I began hearing a constant clicking sound coming from the steering wheel or its vicinity whenever I make turns, particular
... ly noticeable when I reverse to leave my apartment. Shortly after this sound started, I discovered that my horn is not functioning, which prevents me from alerting other drivers or signaling my presence on the road. This has made me feel unsafe while driving, as I have had several close calls with other vehicles. Due to these issues, I sought mechanical assistance in addition to my regular maintenance. My car has been at the auto care shop for over a month, as this is their first encounter with this problem. They have proposed several solutions, but they are not confident that any of them will completely resolve the issue. I believe this malfunction poses a risk to both myself and others on the road, and I am seeking assistance from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Prior to the onset of the clicking sounds, there were no warning signals, but I did notice an airbag warning light had appeared. I am concerned about the potential for the airbags to either deploy unexpectedly or fail to deploy in the event of an accident. Fortunately, I have not yet experienced a situation that required their use. I will attach the documents from my mechanical visit. The car is still at that location and is available for inspection upon request. I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope to receive guidance on how to proceed. Thank you.Read more

I am submitting a complaint regarding an unresolved safety issue with the front passenger restraint system in my 2019 Tesla Model 3 (VIN: [XXX] ). Since February 2024, I have encountered recurring alerts for this system, despite multiple service visits to address it. Service History and Concerns: The initial repair attempt on February 27, 2024, involved Tesla replacing the Occupant Classification
... System (OCS) filter module. However, the alert returned shortly after, showing the issue was not resolved. On October 14, 2024, I returned to Tesla, where they quoted $1,800 for further repairs, claiming my general warranty was expired. Their records indicate that this failure directly impacts the front passenger’s safety restraint, making it a serious defect. During a follow-up visit on October 23, 2024, the issue was confirmed but left unaddressed unless I paid out-of-pocket. This recurring fault poses a critical safety risk, as a defective restraint system compromises passenger protection in a crash. Tesla’s refusal to provide coverage, despite prior similar recalls for restraint systems, suggests a pattern of shifting safety costs onto consumers. I request the NHTSA to investigate this fault’s prevalence and require Tesla to provide a remedy that upholds passenger safety. Thank you for your attention to this serious issue. On10/19/2024, the driver was driving down a road that was coming down from a slope and the road curves to the left. As the driver was braking to decrease the speed down to 30mph or below (she was going around 35mph from what she remembers) and turning the steering wheel left, all the curtain air bags deployed, the seatbelt locked and she was unable to turn the steering wheel. She couldn't see du

She remembers that the screen flashed something like an SOS but then it faded. Bystanders helped her out of the car as she was still in the car (she was very shaken) and they tried to put the car in neutral as it was blocking the road to push it but they were unsuccessful as the wheels had locked. The police and a tow truck was called by a bystander. Other than a small scrape on the right fender of the bumper, there was no damage to the car. Nothing was in the road. The bystanders asked her if she had a stroke or some medical issue since there was no collision, no damage notable on the car and the car just stopped on the road. Inside all the curtain bags are deployed. The police officer and the tow truck driver thought that the sensor for rolling might have gotten triggered but there was nothing that they could see that would have triggered it. Toyota was contacted and the insurance company was unsure if this was considered a collision. Toyota wanted to investigate the car themselves and we signed a letter giving them permission to download data and information from the car.
