My daughter was rear-ended in her 2017 Jetta while stopped. The other driver was going approximately 45 mph, forcing my daughter into the car in front of her as well, causing significant front impact and damage to the vehicle. The air bag did not deploy. The amount of impact seems as though the airbag should have deployed. She suffered a mild concussion and whiplash from the impact.

The emergency brakes engaging in reverse and while in drive. Not available for inspection as the vehicle is now totaled. It was involved in a rollover accident. The WUM-98 recall fix did not address the problem with the front passenger occupancy detection system. We, and many other Subaru Forester owners are continuing to experience problems post recall repair with the SRS Airbag light on, indicating error code B1760 "Occupant Detection Sensor Mat" failure. Subaru is not covering the cost of addressing this problem, and the entire seat frame and bottom
... cushion (that includes the sensor mat) are required to be replaced at the consumer's expense, with bills for repair in excess of $2,000. And, due to the high demand for this repair, parts are not available to perform the repair for as much as 6 months! This is jeopardizing the safety of occupants in the front passenger seat for extended periods of time while waiting for parts, whereby the airbag is not active due to the sensor mat problem. The original recall should have encompassed not only the harness cable component, but also the sensor mat.Read more

The two airbag curtain side bags and the front passenger seat side airbag all 3 deployed. First, the airbags should not have deployed and secondly, if this had been a collision with another vehicle, the speci

Given the takata airbag recalls, I should have received a recall notice as I am the original owner of this vehicle. FAILED COMPONENT SYSTEM: Driver & Passenger side Airbag system. SAFETY RISK: I was involved in motor vehicle collision, resulting in extensive front-end damage to my car. INSPECTION: Yes, while my vehicle underwent a general inspection, following the collision, that was conducted through my insurance company, there has NOT been a thorough inspection into the Airbag Sensing System, or my vehicles Event Data Records (EDR) yet. I filed a Product Assistance Claim (PCC) personally with General Motors, letting them know of this problem of my airbags for which I have been contacted by one of GMs PAC customer representatives, but I have only heard from this individual once since I've opened the claim with GM. I have reached out by phone as well as email to follow up with GM on the status of my PAC, but unfortunately, I have not heard back from him since. I have had a critical Passenger Airbag recall for over one year impacting my 2021 RAV4 Auto, NHTSA Recall No. 23V-865; Toyota Recall No. 23TA15. It should NOT have taken Toyota over one-year to diagnose and apply the remedy to ensure that I am driving a safe car. ... hat the remedy would be available in the 3rd Quarter of 2024. Toyota has the parts to manufacture and sell new cars, but my recall apparently is Not a priority on anyone's profit list since I had paid my money to purchase the car. I have a need to drive my car at home to drop-off my son at school and drive to doctor's appointments, Yet, I was told I should not drive the car nor let anyone ride in my car. This is not a realistic solution and if this is all Toyota has to offer when they should have fixed the major recall by now, I am demanding a full refund of the cost of purchase and they can have the car back. Again, my car is subject to OCS sensors in the front passenger seat, that was improperly manufactured and installed. This is a MAJOR RISK OF INJURY AS THIS DEFECT WOULD NOT ALLOWTHE AIRBAG SYSTEM TO DEPLOY. I HEREBY REQUEST EITHER A REFUND FROM TOYOTAL IN THE AMOUNT OF $31,000 OR AN IMMEDIATE FREE DIAGNOSTIC AND REPAIR. IF TOYOTA HAS THE PARTS TO PUT OUT NEW CARS I AM SURE THEY HAVE THE PARTS TO REMEDY THIS CRITICAL RECALL. My name is [XXX] , PHONE [XXX] . THANK YOU.
